18/10/2024: really lovely staff and great matcha

10/07/2024: Beautiful filter coffee. Not usually a fan of naturals but the barista gave me a sample and said I might like this one. Great chat and delicious coffee.

29/03/2024: The Pav is my favourite spot for a drink with friends. It’s cosy, has great decor, and the music volume is low enough that you can talk with your friends easily. The cocktails are too notch. The cinema area upstairs I tried once and wasn’t a fan. The men’s toilet lock has been broken the last few months which makes me wonder how attentive their management are. Also the hot water comes out boiling sometimes which is dangerous. They need to adjust. If they can make the upstairs better and improve the toilet situation this place would be top notch.

29/09/2024: Food was very good and so is the venue. Unfortunately majorly let down by poor service which can only be attributed to poor training. The girl serving us in her defence, was new but again if she was properly trained would not have caused any issue. Before we ordered our food I ordered a beer and my wife ordered a cocktail. The cocktail arrived but no sign of my beer. Eventually our server came back to say they did not have the beer I ordered (Imperial Pale Ale) a bit bemused that it took so long to come back to tell me this but okay I’ll get over it. I ordered a different beer (Moretti). Again after a long wait the waitress came back to say that they did not have that beer either. I then asked for another beer (Hophouse) and again after a long wait a different waitress came to explain that they only had a limited amount of beers on draught because they were renovating their main bar!! You would think I would have been told this in the first instance. I should point out that the beers I had ordered were all still present on the drinks menu. Either the staff should be instructed to tell customers that the beers are limited for above reason or better still add a piece of paper to the menu with a paper clip or something (to avoid reprinting) that states this. Basic stuff. Starters and main course came, I had asked for an extra side dish. I got two extra side dishes, when I pointed this out I was told not to worry it was an error and would not be charged. The girl had to be called back to take our dessert order as she had basically forgotten we were even there. To top things off I was charged for the extra side dish on the bill and had to get it removed. Table behind us with a large amount of people and a different wait person were having similar issues to ourselves. A nice venue, nice food, poorly trained staff.

05/08/2024: I ordered two pizzas, they were very good! They arrived 20 minutes earlier than announced, the delivery man was very nice and friendly, the pizzas arrived hot. I recommend !

22/10/2024: On a Sunday evening - the bar was buzzing and people were on on stools with central tables watching the sports on the various TV’s. To eat - we had the chicken goujons with chips - enormous plate with a dip - very lovely. After the sport on TV finished we had live music - a man with guitar - very good but a little loud as in close proximity. Well worth a visit - great atmosphere

22/10/2024: The only criticism I have is they definitely need new menus. They seem to be kept together with tape but everything else was fantastic .
