The best restaurants in Cork

03/11/2025: We as a group meet there every Saturday before a Cork City academy home game. The welcome we have got over the last 2 years is only fantastic. All the staff go the extra mile for us. I cannot recommend them enough. Oh and the food and beverages are just as excellent. Well done to Joe and all the staff.. 5 star

11/10/2025: Very disappointing experience. We sat outside under the canopy with our takeaway food and even ordered a Coke from the bar. The bolden staff came over, and even after we apologized and started packing up immediately, she was extremely rude, aggressive, and spoke to us in a discriminatory tone, saying this is “not how things are done in Ireland.” Forcing us to leave while we hadn’t even finished our drink was humiliating and disrespectful. We understand the rule, but the way it was handled was unacceptable.

29/10/2025: Second time here and it's just such a fun place to go! My friend's absolute go-to for when she has visitors and I completely get why! In the summer they open the front window and you get a nice breeze. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great.

23/09/2025: This would have got 5 from me but the recent price increases and the strange photos which are definitely not accurate from the business here bring it down to 3. The menu for 2 Tacos and 1 drink say €16, but we were charged €17. Most other prices have increased too, so we won't go here as much as we previously did. Food is nice here. But there aren't many seats inside. I don't know why they have photos of comfy couchesunless you can order these in the bar next door?

26/09/2025: Stopped by this coffee shop this morning for a cortado and something to go — and wow! The cortado was absolute perfection, and the almond croissant was just as impressive. To top it off, they were playing Radiohead, which gave the place such a great vibe. Highly recommend if you’re looking for fantastic coffee and fresh-baked goods!

24/08/2025: The person who gave us our seats was very rude. We asked her if we could sit on the booth and she replied ‘can you just sit where your told’. Poor customer service.

08/10/2024: Favorite chip shop of mine over more than a decade of visiting Cork on occasion. With that said my last visit a few weeks ago ended up with them giving me the wrong order that I did not realize was the case until long away from the shop. Chicken supper instead of the Cod Supper that I ordered. It was still good but it sad that I didn't get one last Cod Supper before they shut down for good this past weekend.

11/11/2025: This place is a gem! A great spot for breakfast or lunch. Poached eggs on sourdough toast was scrumptious as was the chicken tarragon + stuffing sandwich also on sourdough. Very reasonable prices given the high quality ingredients. Really good coffee too. The interior is gorgeous: cozy wooden tables and benches strewn with cushions (you almost completely forget you're in the center of a business park with major construction going on nearby). It was bustling on a Monday morning.

03/08/2025: Have ordered a few times from Denise's and Her Apple tarts are to die for..Also fruit scones, Lemon Madeira cake,Oxford lunch cake,are scrumptious. Fast delivery Very friendly service.

30/10/2025: The setting is lovely, but the waiters are unabashedly snobbish. I only recommend it if you fit the criteria of an upper-class clientele. It's mediocre.

21/09/2025: What a find. Walk up the stairs to a bar back in time. The OG wooden floors and tables and bar make the vibe on point. And the drinks are top notch. We ordered off menu and was no problem.

13/11/2025: Cute little place with good coffee and good food. Service is fast and efficient. I love their overnight oats dish.

22/10/2025: Wonderful scone with a very tasty (probably homemade) jam + fresh orange juice!

19/09/2025: Put in my order of soup and brown bread, a toasted sandwich and a side order of chips. My glass of water and cutlery arrived on a side plate which were dropped at the far side of my table, unusual I thought. A few minutes late the waitress arrived back and stretched across in front of me to place a soup spoon on my sideplate. She was holding the spoon by the bowl. More unusual I thought. My food arrived all together. This is getting ridiculous! Who serves two courses at the same time? The soup and brown bread were delicious. However, by the time I got around to eating my main course the chips were cold. The sandwich was horribly greasy. The side salad was chopped into tiny silly little pieces making it impossible for me to disgard the cucumber which I can’t abide. If I ever go back there I will only have the soup. Hopefully, in the meantime, they will train their staff.

23/08/2025: Went for breakfast. Food and service were so good that I returned for lunch the next day.

11/09/2025: Great local Pub! Small, intimate and friendly. I would highly recommend. Better than so many other Pubs listed as must see.

09/09/2025: To be honest, I didn’t feel welcome here as a younger foreign visitor. The atmosphere felt very closed-off, with most of the crowd being 40–60 year old white locals or American tourists. Tourist and people are in here are friendly, however service from the bartender(maybe the owner) was unfriendly and included microaggressions that made me uncomfortable. I was deprioritised and even looked down on when served a beer. I felt quite sad when I leave here and ruined my trip in Kinsale. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you already fit that demographic.
