06/08/2025: Very nice place, large portions. Wonderful service, very friendly and helpful staff

18/07/2025: We discovered this place by chance while looking for dinner in Cork. It was a great success. The waitress (from Granada) was super competent (brilliant), the rest of the staff was equally so, the food was fantastic, and the atmosphere, with live traditional music, was brilliant. The prices were very good for the Republic of Ireland, especially considering the huge dishes. The cheapest pints of beer I've ever had, and I've had a few now...

15/08/2025: I loved their self car wash cause of the active foam and the results afterwards, didn't have to spent a fortune to get my car CLEAN... but however I went there at total of 3 times, the first time was perfect experience, the 2nd time the boxes were OOO the third time I spent a FORTUNE to get my car clean... the soapy water that's supposed to come out when you brush didn't work and basically just made the car dirtier as before as the shampoo dried faster than I was able to brush... I went into the store after I somehow got all the shampoo off with water... Told them that something is not working right with the brush and the staff made me feel like I wouldn't know how to wash my car?! He didn't even go and took a look with me to see what was going on... Well anyways I left disappointed, went to a other car wash to get somehow the shampoo stuff off... I am pretty upset and feel misunderstood, I won't come back there. I will stick to a different one further away which never disappointed me so far. :-)

10/08/2025: Clean, tidy, huge food range to select from. Plenty of sit down areas to eat,toilets upstairs. Car parking available outside. Generally always a busy spot.

14/08/2025: The service was a bit slow and mixed up with no teabag in the teapot.

13/08/2025: Wonderful 3 night stay, great breakfast and dinner. . One point no tea spoons on any tables for 2 morning.

26/07/2025: Food was really not to our liking. Staff were ok. Nice enough to replace a dish that was totally different to what the menu says.

08/07/2025: The Mardyke is a great place to have a fun night out in Cork. It has pool, bowling, an arcade, and so much more to offer. I come here the most often for pool, but I've also participated in karaoke pub quiz nights which are so fun. It's always a great time, the facilities are all clean and up-to-date, and it has a great atmosphere. The staff is great as well; Hayley is the best and always makes sure you're well taken care of!

03/08/2025: There was a small issue which was completely my fault and the young female manager/supervisor (I’m assuming) was excellent and so professional in fixing it. I didn’t get her name but she was great and resolved the issue quick and seamlessly!

26/06/2025: Honestly I think it may be one of the best places in cork for pizza delivery, the quality is crazy good

06/08/2025: Rude staff, mediocre food and ok coffee. Go in Bridge st cafe or French Church st with self esteem leave without it - they will make sure of it. They treat customers with so much disdain. Cork is a vibrant amazing city with a growing cafe culture. This really goes against that.

30/07/2025: Honestamente, una de las personas más rudas con las que he tratado, ella simplemente asiente contigo como si fueras un idiota y luego se toma la bebida de un lado a otro sin llamar a quién pertenece qué. Usa tus palabras como cualquiera. Hay otros cafés alrededor de esa ciudad son agradables y acogedores, pero no voy a volver a este, pura ignorancia. (Miércoles 30 de julio 9 am)

05/08/2025: Finally, a real Irish pub, off the beaten path, stumbled upon by chance. The Guinness was the best and cheapest of all the ones I've tried after five in Dublin and Cork. It's a shame you can't eat there, otherwise we would have stayed all night.

03/08/2025: After getting a bit lost on the way out of the island in central Cork, wandering through the narrow streets, you find this completely authentic little pub. No colorful lights. Drinks are cheaper than usual in the area and well served. Pints of beer are less than €5.

25/07/2025: I ordered 2 portion of bowl in uber eats. But the quantity is very less not even sufficient for one person. Had to make something else to eat after ordering food from them. Please don’t order online.

12/06/2025: Highly recommend BiteSize, ordered a bday cake online, a few weeks in advance for collection, it was ready early on the day, the lady was very helpful in the cafe and the cake was absolutely delicious! It was huge, easily got 14 good size portions out of it. Ordered the choc raspberry custard cake, it was so yummy and beautifully decorated, including the personalised message in the price. Would definitely order another cake from here. I've also tried the small cakes in the cafe over the years and they are all delicious also! Thank you BiteSize! 😊

21/05/2025: My husband and I stopped in for a quick breakfast before heading to Killarney and had a great experience. The spinach and cheese strudel, original scone, bacon/mushroom quiche, and latte were all delicious! The staff was really nice as well, and the owner of the cafe was especially kind. We are just tourists passing through, but will definitely come back if we are ever in the area again!
