The best restaurants in Cork

14/07/2026: Best place to go for a bite to eat in Ballincollig!! I always get the Full Jumbo Irish, my son always gets the Eggs Benedict with Salmon, both are great! Also, very handy if you want dinner before the cinema!

12/07/2026: Absolutely delicious, whenever My friends and I are looking for breakfast we always call to the Plaza. The staff are kind, friendly and very efficient and the food is served quickly and tastes amazing, easily the best fry up in Cork in my opinion. The price is very reasonable, try it I guarantee you'll love it 👍

10/07/2026: We had Rachel as our server for our food and drinks and she truly went above and beyond!! She recommended drinks that were fantastic and we all really enjoyed her service and personality! Truly such a lovely experience and it was only made better by Rachel. Would highly recommend this place to everyone!!

22/06/2026: Has to be the nicest lamb vindaloo ive had, 100% spot on lovely, chips too very nice hand cut chipper chips not them frozen ones. Nan bread and rice both amazing, lovely heat from the vindaloo and lamb nice and tender, the lads are sound too, nice meeting you guys, ill definitely be back, the lad from dublin in the truck if you remember 😀 amazing food 😋

28/03/2026: Got a mixed kebab out of here last night and it was wonderful. Packed with meat, lovely sauce wrapped in fresh naan. Thanks for the recommendation @Brian Buckley

04/07/2026: We'll be back! Carlos, the guy from Murcia, was incredibly kind to us. We were just walking down the street and this waiter smiled at us. He gave off great vibes. He recommended the best sandwiches and even made our coffee himself. We had a lovely conversation. I don't know if he has a girlfriend, but he's gorgeous. We had a lot in common, and he knows my grandmother's hometown. This nice guy deserves a raise!

26/04/2026: My flat white was superb. Scone a let down. If you are coming for the coffee, highly recommend. If you want a fab pastry, go somewhere else.

18/11/2025: Very good prices. I've been going to akira for a while now, when I want some comfort food and something that is not that expensive and fancy. The girls upstairs are amazing and give you a proper japanese experience. There are some amazing dishes like the ramen, it's not that easy to find a heavy and comfy ramen like in Akira. Usually I feel Japanese restaurants have become something superfancy that don't make you feel like home. Everything is about the rules and about expensive sushi, but Akira goes beyond that. Akira takes the typical Japanese experience and brings it to your table for a really good price. To put an example the sake is something that goes for 40€ minimum in most japanese restaurants. If I remember right, you can have bottles of Sake for less than 25 euros in Akira.And even Wine. But not only focusing on the prices .Overall Akira has made me feel like the place to go, when I'm not sure what I want and never failed for a second. Thanks to all the staff.

16/07/2026: Had a fantastic meal here on Sat night. Food was brilliant. Well presented and very tasty. Excellent friendly staff. Highly recommend if going out for a good meal. Bit pricey tho. But overall a very good experience.

19/11/2025: Super bar. Came down from Belfast and a friend recommended this place - did not disappoint. Pints were great, staff were sound and I could have stayed for hours more for the music alone! Will absolutely be back again.

Thank you all for your service. And of course the food we ordered was very delicious and tasty and it arrived to our table on time

02/07/2026: I cannot get over how small the portions have gotten. €13.50 for 4 boneless chicken thighs and there’s barely two bites in each one, they were tiny. Ridiculous stuff. Very disappointed and won’t be back for a while
