27/07/2026: It was really calm inside for a Saturday night which made the experience even better. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

09/07/2026: I went here earlier on today and I was very much impressed by the whole experience. The service itself was warm, friendly and genuine. It wasn't terribly busy at the time so it was very easy to relax there. Most importantly, the food was amazing. There is a certain sense of authenticity with the menu. There aren't a million options on the menu itself which is a good sign that they prepare their menu well. I had a lamb shank biryani that was so good that I can no longer have lamb anywhere else now because it could never compare. It had the perfect flavour and texture and just fell right off the bone. The food was very filling also. We only ordered mains and we just barely manged to finish our meals, which is no small feat when it comes to us. 10/10, would reccomend.

22/06/2026: I am taking into consideration that it was an evening of a concert in Pairc u Chaoimh and understandably only burgers were being served outside which would have been perfect except the quality was shocking . We got a burnt bun , not exaggerating, the inside of buns were black having being over grilled, they had run out of the relishes such as onions and cucumbers and also out of ketchup. So we paid €60 for 6 beef patties with 6 burnt buns. There didn’t appear to be anyone in charge checking to ensure the young girl doing the grilling was coping. Appreciate it was a busy evening but surely that was to be expected so could have been better prepared .

26/07/2026: So much fun for a night out. Staff are very happy to give rookies any needed greyhound racing pointers. Bar well appointment with a friendly crew briskly dispensing pints. Exceeded all my expectations!

29/06/2026: Great shop with a very nice deli. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Great selection of pizza bases, sausages and rashers in the fridge

12/05/2026: Found myself in Blackrock today and happened across On a Platter Deli. The coffee is so good I can't even begin to describe it, I would drive out of my way just for another one really soon. Had a beautiful sandwich which was freshly made and have to say 10 out of 10 all round. The service was super, happy and attentive staff, the selection was more than ample (everything from Vegan delights to meat lovers dreams) and the real family feel to the shop means I would definitely be back. Thank you On a Platter for making my day.

05/04/2026: It is a small pub in the street One gentle man I have met in here bought me four pints of Murphy’s and it was incredible ! I could hardly understand his strong Irish accent but we had a great conversation.

23/07/2026: Got the Ceasar salad, full rack of ribs, and a side of chips. Meat of the ribs just fell off the bone, deliciously, salad was crispy and creamy in all the best ways, and chips were done perfect. The staff were very friendly (Aaron served us and his service was top notch). I ate all the food too fast so I forgot to take a picture, but I’ll include a pic of the receipt to prove I’ve actually been here. In the hot weather, the outdoor seating area was perfect, the fairy lights set a lovely vibe, the prices were very very reasonable, and to top everything off, we were served at one point by a robot!

15/07/2026: Great restaurant that's been popular for many years! Good variety on the menu and everything done to a high standard. The staff are very efficient and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Have been there many times. Booking recommended!

19/07/2026: Im not one to leave reviews but my experience tonight left me no choice. Delivery driver was very aggressive, blaming me for sending him to the wrong postcode. When he arrived I asked him to show me his delivery address and it was 100% my house and postcode. Again got aggressive with both me and my girlfriend. Not alone that the chips we got were more frozen then cooked. I have numerous photos if needed. Do not get delivery from this bang average chipper. Entire experience a disgrace

13/07/2026: Went down today for 2 milkshakes, the staff member on the drive through speaker asked me did I want cream on them when I said no. Went to collect at the window and 2 milkshakes were sitting there full of cream. I said to the staff member that I actually had asked for no cream and he replied "really" and said I have to wait for a new one. I told him I didn't mind as I'm allergic to cream and would have to wait anyways he threw his eyes up at me and walked away. He returned to the window with the two milkshakes clearly with new lids on them and the cream scraped off and I can still see the lumps floating in it after I told the staff member I'm allergic. I might as well have thrown the €12 in the bin rather than get an allergic reaction to it i'm absolutely appalled.

11/06/2026: Was there recently with a group of 30 and I can only hope I’m never there again. They had our arrival time but absolutely no effort was made to accommodate a coach. Not their problem seemed to be the attitude. The rooms were not clean and most of the group had no bottled water in their rooms. If they wanted it they had to buy it. Rooms were stuffy with no air con. Couldn’t open windows with the noise outside of traffic and the homeless which there was plenty of at the back of the hotel which I know is of no fault of the hotel due to it’s central location but that’s why you have air con.The staff at breakfast time in fairness were very friendly and accommodating. But overall I’d deffo not recommend

10/06/2026: We were looking for a central location and comfort.. we got both.. and we got service and great care especially for our special needs party. Will we come back.. yes, of course! (Thank you Rachel, Emily, Nicole and everyone who helped along the way).

20/07/2026: Was there for the final FIFA game. Absolutely wild and fun. Service was quick even with how many people were there. Affordable, had a blast!

18/07/2026: Reason to believe I got spiked in this premises contacted the premises and have gotten no reply. First visit to this location and pretty dissatisfied that I’ve been waiting over a week for a reply if that’s what this premises thinks of their customers it says a lot. This was for a casual night out and catch up with friends not a night to get plastered as some would say very disappointed
