18/12/2025: Had the most delicious pizza here recently, and the garlic bread was divine! The staff are so friendly, its such a lovely cosy pub with a really nice atmosphere. Will definately be back👍

02/11/2025: We ordered the communion package last May. The ordering process was very easy, Audrey was very helpful. The food was ready on time, all delicious and everyone was complimenting it. I’d definitely order again.

09/10/2025: They brought several cupcakes at work for an event, I tried the chocolate and strawberry one and I've never tasted so artificial flavours before. The chocolate tasted like those chocolate easter eggs you get at the supermarket where the chocolate gets white after a while cause its so cheap and the strawberry had so much sugar in it my teeth started to ache.

29/12/2025: The food is really top class for the reasonable price. High quality, high intention. My wife, four year old and I went the whole hog with three courses, and every part of every dish was a very thoughtful version of what it was. So we got a good cross section of the menu - deep fried brie, wings, curry, burger, goujons, cheesecake, so on. None of it felt generic or from the freezer. The environment was well lit, warm, nothing loud, friendly hum of chatter from around the bar. And most of all, all the staff were very friendly. They all felt genuinely warm and happy to be there. It of course makes all the difference. Our favorite pub grub right now I think. Great experience here!

18/12/2025: Had coffee AND COMPLIMENTARY scones and lunch with my colleagues in this well managed, comfortable and extremely clean establishment, would like to thank Darragh and Alison for their company and professionalism,,,this was the first time and certainly won't be the last time on these premises

24/12/2025: Awesome tacos and great drinks at Black Dog Tacos! One of the few places in town where you can get really good quality tacos — fresh, flavorful, and packed with tasty ingredients. The drinks are just as good, with a nice selection that goes perfectly with the food. The vibe is fun and relaxed, and the staff are welcoming. Definitely a go-to spot if you’re craving tacos and a great drink in Cork! 🌮🍹

13/09/2025: Server was lovely. But! I got ONE spoon of granola in my açai bowl which was kind of ridiculous. For €10.50 I should be getting at least three spoons. The barista made a great coffee but like price for return is non existent. Could be great as the location is handy and the cafe itself is lovely inside. Potentially a great place, but not quite there.

02/10/2025: Came here on a busy day when they were really understaffed. The staff were so lovely and patient with everyone even though they were clearly stressed. Very impressed

15/06/2025: I had high hopes for this place, but after witnessing what goes on behind closed doors, I can’t recommend it. The lack of professionalism and questionable after-hours behaviour were deeply disappointing. What’s worse, after leaving my honest opinion, I received an intimidating message. That says more about the place than any review could. I was a regular customer. I expected decency, not fear. Not sure if management is aware, but if they are, that alone should be a red flag. Think twice before supporting this place.

03/11/2025: I loved the quality of the product, however the dough has gotten worse in recent months. The toppings are still good. I gave it 5 stars because of the previous quality. I hope they go back to the original recipe.

26/09/2025: We were passing through when we came across The Max Bite. At first we were skeptical, but the owner made us a phenomenal kebab. Honestly, it's in my top 3 kebabs I've ever had. It's a shame we won't be able to come back for a second visit anytime soon;)

16/12/2025: I've found this place to have very inconsistent service (depending on the staff). Disappointing service received last Sunday (December 14). Waited 20 mins for a small, simple order. Throughout this time, there was a young Irish man strolling around, hysterically laughing and joking with another member of staff. This particular individual appears completely devoid of manners or has zero customer service skills. On a previous visit, I gave him my order, and he just turned around and walked away without any acknowledgement whatsoever!! He served me again last Sunday, and after he handed over my order, he responded to my thank you with a blank stare... Such a hostile attitude makes me reluctant to return there. There are plenty of other options around where customers are respected. (date of visit: Dec 14 at around 4pm)

21/08/2025: The omelets (breakfast omelet), the scones, the beans on toast, the bread... Everything was delicious and mostly homemade. The woman who runs the cafe is lovely, very pleasant and smiling. You have to go there if you are in the area.

14/01/2026: So only for 1 or 2 waitresses that get distracted in conversation. I once waited 20 minutes for 2 take away coffees and then was giving then in a ceramic mug! After asking twice I was in a hurry so very inconvenient for me. The 2 waitresses were busy chatting behind the counter on a busy time, so disappointed at this. I never went for a take away coffee again. But go for breakfast from time to time.This place is amazing 👏 food is top 😋 the new waitress Alison is amazing great service and great at her job very efficient.

15/11/2025: I went 3 times . Each time they kept me waiting while serving everybody. The last time I asked for coffee with breakfast, they brought breakfast, waited for coffee 20 min before I leave . Sad experience, it’s the only place I experienced this behaviour in Ireland for over 8 years
