12/07/2026: Not so good! Lack of variety and quality. Had a Beef Hoagie and unfortunately the beef wasn't tender at all.

10/08/2025: Visited Route Fourteen with my family for lunch. The food was great, the dining area was spacious, but I have a few points I hope can be considered to improve the service. There were two lunch menus on our visit: one standard lunch menu (same as website) and one specific for the day or week. We ordered from the second menu since they seemed seasonal and more fresh than the regular menu. The prices were similar to other gastropubs around Cork City. I ordered pork belly with vegetables and mashed potatoes. The pork was stuffed with walnuts and dates, a stuffing I would have never thought would taste so nice with pork. Other dishes we had were the "Smash Burger" and Reuben sandwich. We ordered chicken wings with buffalo sauce for starters. Everybody enjoyed their orders but the beef in the Reuben would be better if it was not heated much. For dessert we had a mango and raspberry cheesecake and lemon meringue. Both were presented nicely and tasted amazing. They are best eaten between two people as they are large desserts. We were seated at a bright high table by the window, however we were near a large private booking and I felt a bit under pressure as the staff were setting the tables around us for the arriving diners. Given that the venue was not busy when we arrived, I would have preferred sitting further away from the large group booking. I would highly recommend visiting Route Fourteen on your next day out for lunch or dinner at a gastropub.

18/07/2026: Was left in to bar after a quick search from the bouncer two friends of mine went to go to the toilet and all of a sudden male blonde skinny bartender with a mullet just said we have to get out with no probable cause, I think the service is horrible and we deserved a reason to be told to leave We were just visiting for the weekend and we didn’t deserve that kind of hassle to be treated like a criminal will be taking action this is disgusting

16/07/2026: Cool place, great cocktails, great staff.

25/08/2026: Bit of a trip up the hill but worth it. Small tucked away pub but lively for a Sunday. Coors Light pouring plentifully and the Beamish was top. Cash/Card, seemed to prefer cash. Didn't get a chance to explore rest of the pub, just perched at the bar and watched the sports. Friendly service, enjoyed it.
