02/08/2026: We walked upon this pizzeria and there the magic happened ! Our son was able to order a gluten free pizza after years of not being able to have a pizza in a restaurant ! What a great way to start the holiday ! The pizzas are really good, savoury, lovely staff. Location in a cute typical Cork street. We loved it all! Thank you ❤️

28/06/2026: Douglas, Avoid if you want your delivery any bit warm. After 1 hour the food tracker said he'll be with me in 1 minute. That was fine. There was another 20 mins while it was saying 1 minute. It was delivered by deliveroo by a driver with no English so couldn't complain. Food was stone cold. I rang Oakfire douglas to complain and was told its not there problem and to take it up with deliveroo, basically they said there job is only to cook it , not deliver it. I asked them if they would send out a fresh warm order and i was again told, not their problem.

16/06/2026: Only heard about this on the "Yay Cork" website. Subsequently found out it was the old Quin Ryan local pub in a previous life. Decent beer garden out back and you can order pizza from a place a few doors up and eat it in the pub.

12/10/2025: Beautiful Cafe with a lovely cosy interior and atmosphere,theres also a Charity Shop next door with some lovely items available and reasonably priced....both the Cafe and Charity Shop support Down Syndrome which is fantastic to support

05/09/2026: Bummed the waitress was so inflexible about changing the sauce I wanted on my enchiladas. 1st time any restaurant has been so rigid about such a minor thing. Food quality was good, but flavors not for me. Except the black bean soup was really good.

05/09/2026: Really happy with our food and experience! My food was absolutely bursting with flavour. Love the feel of the restaurant too, the decoration is very cute. Servers were attentive and polite. Great vegetarian and GF options too. Happily recommend to anyone

25/07/2026: Great tapas, wine and cider choices. One staff member a bit obnoxious in assuming people using the toilet weren't diners til corrected. He did apologise immediately though. Other than that, staff were friendly and attentive. Nice trendy place for a more expensive option.

19/07/2026: I took my mother in for a bite to eat before the Everyman a couple of weeks ago on a lovely sunny evening and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our waiter was so nice and really looked after us. We'll be back again soon. Siobhan

20/08/2026: Had an amazing breakfast at The Grumpy Bakers! The food here is excellent and of high quality. Portion sizes are great, and both the sandwich and the pastries were absolutely perfect. The coffee is also excellent. Highly recommended!

01/06/2026: A bit dated, but we were only there to sleep. The staff were always incredibly friendly, but the food in the restaurant was very mysterious, and the staff seemed overwhelmed and helpless for many people. Breakfast had everything you could need. Would gladly stay again.

31/05/2026: I cannot speak more highly of Vijay. He was so obliging with caring for our athletes staying in the the hotel. Supplied us with ice with no issue. We arrived back late & we were never felt unwelcome he was a very good host. He was managing the bar on his own & we were never made to feel nuisance.

18/09/2026: I ordered a flat white — great quality and delicious! My battery was almost dead, and they even let you charge your phone while you enjoy your coffee. Such a nice touch!

16/09/2026: Ideal spot for coffee, it's quite good. My favorite is the matcha with soy milk, which is delicious, and they have perfect sweets to go with it. I highly recommend going!

26/07/2026: Everything was perfect, the beer was perfect, the atmosphere was great, the people were very polite and intelligent. It's definitely a place to visit again and recommend to a family member or friend – they won't be disappointed, in fact, they'll come back and recommend it. There's a lot of history here at Pier Head Inn.
