24/08/2024: I fell in love with this bar as soon as I walked in. It's so vintage and cozy, with an incredibly friendly staff! Thank you, I enjoyed it.

09/06/2024: Absolutely lovely vibe about the place, can't believe I hadn't heard of it before. Owners were lovely and the service was great, will be returning many times yet!

16/11/2024: Went for the comedy show upstairs, and wasn't disappointed! I will definitely go again next time I'm in Cork, Dave and the other comics were all hilarious, each in their own unique & funny perspectives, and masterful in creating a cozy vibe that got us all laughing together at some of life's absurdities. 🥳😂🤪💯🌟 Highly recommended if you like to have a good laugh!

10/11/2024: Had a couple nice Irish coffees here. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Vibe was laid back and cool. Good place to people watch.

09/11/2024: Poor hygiene - saw woman working there sneezing into hands and handling my sandwich to me. When I told her I wanted a new one she called me a liar.

20/10/2024: Best Keto Salad in Cork Cobb Salad!!! And the sandwiches are delicious!!! Even the baguette with butter is a revelation - from a Polish bakery. Crispy, delicious, fragrant.

02/11/2024: We went to Barry's for my husband's graduation. From the second we arrived until we left it was amazing. From the food to the service it was all amazing. Our server Maeve was amazing professional and joined in the banter we were having we loved it . If you get served by her you are very lucky . I hope Barry's management knows how amazing she is . Staff like Maeve are very hard to find . Thanks so much Barry's and especially Maeve.

10/11/2024: We came today to try this kebabs after seeing so many good reviews 17.50€ a meal for a kebab a chip and a can of coke … I mean I understand inflation and all but there has to be a limit . If I would have seen the prices before walking in, I would have passed . The meat was ok, not good nor bad . The bread however wasn’t to our taste it was chewy. Overall it wasn’t neither good or bad , just very average when it comes to food and overpriced.

01/11/2024: Many people spoke well of the restaurant, and today I decided to try the food that everyone talks about, and let me tell you, the food was excellent, well prepared, the dish came beautifully, both the lamb and chicken were well seasoned, fresh salads and a cold drink, I recommend it and I will always come back, congratulations to the team.

31/10/2024: The pizza is incredibly tasty, but I had to wait more than half an hour, but I really liked it

28/10/2024: Went out of my way to visit this place while I was working at the Jazz Festival, place wasn't necessarily busy, waited 20 minutes after ordering a simple margherita pizza - noticed a group in front of me who arrived after me were getting their food. I asked at the till if my pizza was nearly ready, but it wasn't even put through the till and nobody knew about, yet there were at least 4/5 people working there at the time. Very disappointed, I never leave negative reviews but this really annoyed me. Considering how little seats are in the place, such a waste of time. The lady at the till was apologetic in fairness, despite not being the one who took my order in the first place - nothing from the guy who took my order though. There's human error, and then there's just complete incompetence.

09/11/2024: Lovely Thai food in a pleasant restaurant. Service was a bit slow during busy periods when we needed new drinks, but a very good meal overall

20/08/2024: The ideal menu list. Combine the type of rice, meat with the way of preparation yourself. This prevents endless lists of dishes. Excellent dish was served, would grade it with 4.8, certainly if the price is taken into consideration. Very hard-working waitress. The restaurant is not the most attractive as far as interior is concerned, but they tried to have a Thai atmosphere. Regretfully the Hali Halo desert got messed up, I guess this is a one-off, Anyway deserts is not where their centre of expertise is. I would nevertheless recommend the restaurant warmly for the main course ! Without my desert 4.8, which is exceptional.

06/10/2024: When the food arrived I opened the door and the delivery driver was looking at the bottom of the bag when he saw me he handed me the bag and ran back to his car. It was dark outside so I didn’t see what was wrong but as I walked back inside I felt my hand burning. The bottom of the tub of butter chicken had completely come off and it was coming through the bottom of the bag and burning my hand, destroying the floor, carpet and clothes. Everything else in the bag was covered too. We rang the restaurant and the guy on the phone was just confused, all he did was offer another butter chicken to be sent. I don’t know how the delivery driver thought it was ok to hand it to us like that when he had fully noticed it was dripping. All of the food was cold by the time we cleaned it up, so we pretty much paid almost €50 for microwaved Food

09/10/2024: This hotel is getting old, the house and rooms are dirty and many things are broken. The breakfast service is a disaster. Too bad.

07/10/2024: The hotel is dated and dingy! My room is filthy the hotel itself smells a bit funny. Carpets throughout the hotel are dirty and stained including in my room. Chairs in the room look like they were pulled out of a dumpster… So far the staff have been great and friendly so that’s a plus and it’s a good location. I had high hopes for this place when booking but it’s 100% not what it seems and is definitely misrepresented in the adds. I would not book here again.

03/11/2024: We came here today and we were given the table directly in front of the screen waiters or staff use, which means that we had waiters looking directly at us and our table for almost the whole time we were there. I felt really uncomfortable as someone was always there standing directly in front of our table. This table shouldn’t be there, or screen should be moved somewhere else so there is no staff constantly watching you. When it comes to food, I got Risotto Al Filetto, it was ok but small portion for €21.90, I wouldn’t order it again. Also garlic bread is just half a wrap with garlic butter on it. Tiramisu wasn’t good at all, I would say the worst I ever had and this place claims to be an Italian restaurant. Filling was runny, 95% of this dessert was just warm runny cream or whatever they used to make it, barely any coffee taste and almost no biscuit base, very disappointed. Paid almost €40 for my food and I am still hungry as portions were tiny. Staff were polite and made you feel looked after but food was average in my opinion.

05/04/2024: Cool history and decor but service was sub par. No one offered to help with our bags on check in. The room was comfortable. The lounge was quaint and cozy but there was never clean up for coffee and the coffee machine was always broken. Every time we went in there to relax there were dirty cups everywhere and we had a ask for new ones and desk seemed to be annoyed and they did not know how to use the machine to refill the coffee or the milk. I guess there are also unposted hours that it is open. You can get laundry service but they do not bring them to your room, you have to ask about them. The location was great but service wasn’t.
