06/09/2025: Fantastic hotel and restaurant. The food was top notch. Highly recommend this place. And you never know who you might meet

09/07/2025: Started off great, our food was really good, our waitress was great to start with but must have been busy or distracted. We asked for wine and had to remind her, same for coffees at the end. A minor complaint, the ambience and pleasantness of the place and staff was excellent.

20/08/2025: It is a bit pricey. I ordered a sandwich which took a while to get into understand as it was busy but I legit was able to go to another place to get a coffee and come back. Then the sandwich I had was medicore. I actually can't remember what it is called it had ham in it and cheese i think and it was the sourdough bread

13/09/2025: Staff are brilliant and friendly, food comes quickly but price nowhere near reflects what you get. Stopped doing tater tots as a side with the sandwiches which is a big reason we used to come. Definitely used to be better.

06/08/2025: Always incredible pizza and service. Lovely staff and cosy atmosphere. The vegan cheese is delicious too! Potatoes are ok but I’d love if they added chips to the menu. The pizza is so delicious we don’t mind though .

24/09/2025: Disgusting and Disgraceful………how these people can get away with advertising themselves as a fish and chip shop……the fish was so tough I thought of bringing it home to make a school shoes for me kid…..the chips were dry and tasteless…….oh never again…..I wouldn’t walk past this excuse for a chipper……let alone eat from it………….stay away…..you’ve been warned

14/08/2025: Great coffe, they had two roasts a dark and a medium. We had a flat white and one Americano, really enjoyed it. Nice small specialty coffee shop.

30/06/2025: I’ve been all around the globe and I can safely say, this is by far the best Mediterranean cuisine I’ve ever had the pleasure of being inside. With the calm music that draws you in and the warm welcome you receive from the front of house lady, the plaza really is the gift that keeps on giving. Having said that I’d love some more options for vegetarians. -EH

30/06/2025: Tapas night here was magical. Nikos the waiter really knows how to tend to the guests needs and the chef has nailed the mediterean cuisine with a hammer. Bravo The Plaza Ballincollig

13/08/2025: I was walking, craving coffee (I’m Italian) and I was so much attracted by the smell coming out of the shop I turned back on my steps (like in the cartoons). Amazing place and very hot baristas ✨

15/06/2025: Honestamente estoy tan decepcionado. Esta es mi opción - a los chinos y siempre me ha encantado su comida, pero esta vez fue completamente inaceptable. Encontré cinco pelos blancos largos durante toda mi comida. No sólo uno, sino cinco. El arroz estaba mal cocido y duro, y la carne era tan masticable que era básicamente no comestible. Honestamente, fue una lucha comer algo de eso. Realmente odio dejar malas críticas, especialmente para un lugar que suelo disfrutar, pero esto era demasiado. Espero que se tomen esto en serio y lo aborden. Me encantaría poder volver, pero no si esto vuelve a suceder.

15/09/2025: It was the worst wait ever for a coffee and toast 4 people ahead of me took 20 mins there was only 1 staff on the other was in the drive through would have been faster go through drive thru for a massive place big let done

28/09/2025: The Imperial Hotel is a classic Irish hotel with plenty of charm. My room was comfortable and fairly spacious, and I especially liked the bathroom interiors; they had a nice touch of elegance (wish I’d remembered to get a video of them!). 🛁 That said, my room was located in the basement, with a view directly into other rooms, which wasn’t the most inviting. At €220 per night (without breakfast), the value felt a little off for what was offered. The big plus here is the central location, it’s right in the heart of Cork, making it really easy to explore the city. Overall, a decent stay if location is your top priority, though there are a few trade-offs. Ratings: 🛏️ Room Comfort & Design: 3.5/5 🛎 Service & Ambience: 4/5 💸 Money’s Worth: 3/5
