17/09/2025: The girl serving behind the counter was unfriendly, as if she didn’t want to be there and didn’t want to serve us. The milk was served in it’s original 2L jug and again just thrown there almost with words to the effect, if you want some milk here you go. The toilets had just been cleaned but they never replaced the soap and the soap dispenser was completely empty. All of this when the café was practically empty and the staff had not much to do. Never going back there again.

11/02/2026: Last time I ate here was nice, tonight I returned to have a quick bite to eat he took my order at the counter price was ok. I told him that's for sit down. He said there's a price difference I said ok thinking maybe one or two euro. He started adding it up and I said no way. No wonder there was no one else eating in there talk about putting yourself out of business

21/04/2026: Had the New Arch Burger Large meal and four Chicken Nuggets for €16.30 the arch Burger is definitely one of those special delicious new menu burgers that come around now and again. The burger sauce in it was nice surprise to the usual MacDonald sauces. I eat mine outside on the first warm day we had so far this year, at the the outdoor seating. Being weary of the crows simple solution so you can enjoy your meal without them swopping would be to put up a bit of netting. Either over the whole outdoor area or around the tables in a teepe or tent style. Service was what fast food is all about it was served fast and nice and hot. The best MacDonald for service out of them all in the City. The price was a bit steep for a multi billon food chain and with the reduction in vat that they got. The right thing to do would of being to pass it on to the customer maybe two for one meals on some days. Instead of putting in a few more tables at a cost of over a million euro. Still food good quality, service fast, highly recommend The Arch Burger.

18/04/2026: A recently updated McDonald's. Parking available and drive-thru. Some seating outside on picnic style tables. Toilets on site. Accessibile to wheelchairs. This McDonald's is in the middle of Douglas. Shops, garage, and other restaurants close by.

19/09/2025: Clean, prompt, good vibe, easy interaction. I'm a fusspot who always makes my own breakfast, and the lady was 100% there for that and everything came out perfectly. Great place for a nice traditional breakfast, 100% happy with the experience.

05/09/2025: A true Irish pub, this one can say is 100% Irish. Irish food is served here, and of course, a full Irish breakfast. I can tell you, after a full Irish breakfast, you don't need food for the rest of the day, but it all depends on how much money you intend to spend. Birthday parties are held here; the pub is huge, so you can do whatever you want.

26/03/2026: Went on a relatively quiet day, it was Thursday around 7pm. There were only 3/4 other tables and there was more than enough staff to go around however they were quite rude, and were very consumed by their own conversations instead of checking up on the customers. We ordered a burger and pitta and received just that with a piece of chicken between it- there was no salad, no sauce the chicken was dry and underwhelming. The pitta itself tasted almost stale. Its a shame since we always love coming to roosters but have noticed over the last year or so that they just try to get the food out instead of actually cooking something worth our money. Hope they can find a way to improve their quality since we have all noticed that roosters douglas has become significantly quiet compared to the last few years.

26/01/2026: I have to say, I am very disappointed before I got food from There and was good about the Year ago tonight I collected food from there and I swear to God dog food taste better than that burger disgusting had Bite gave the rest to my dog. My dog didn’t finish it beef people stay away from it wasting money and time.

14/04/2026: [Updated review] Ordered from this takeaway a while ago got two 16 inch pizzas and some other items, it was a solid pizza. Ordered a second time and the food was fantastic, I especially liked the donner and chips, a great treat to have and the combination of sauce and everything else in there just hit. Props to this takeaway and let's just say I'm a fan,

07/12/2025: I don't know how they are still open to be honest. Worst kebab I have ever eaten in Cork City (I love kebabs so I have tried pretty much all the kebabs shops in city centre). Chips went to the bin, they were very greasy like they're deep fried in old oil. €16 was way too expensive for what I got, never again. Plus staff at the till had a very rude manner and could barely get his point across with the little English he had (not that it seemed like he wanted to, too).

22/03/2026: Cod was fantastic. Melt in the mouth. The signature dashi broth over the rice and salmon is seriously tasty. Asahi is crisp. A taste of the land of the rising sun on leeside. The waiters were great, particularly Pierre who served our table!

11/10/2025: there is one guy that works there and holds the whole place up. He's been there for a long time now and I've seen him be the only consistent face there in the last three years. he is absolutely lovely and can't do enough for you , that's only reason you get a second star. for him alone. unfortunately , He wasn't there today when I went instead two employees with their back turned to me completely ignoring me when I asked for something for my order it was a no no sorry we don't have it and no didn't bother to look just NO! I love my other Starbucks this one is trash. the rude guy there today ... just NO

24/07/2025: Very good coffee is drunk here with some very good snacks, although everything is very good, breakfast, lunch and snacks, the competition is very fierce here in the city of Cork in relation to cafes and snack bars. A few years ago, you didn't see a cafe, so to speak!!! Now they are everywhere. What I mean is that this cafe called Noir has to create its brand, its specialty, so that people are interested and identify with it. I hope it stays open for a long time and I wish you the best of luck in its development.

24/07/2025: The coffee here is very good, along with some very good snacks. Although everything is very good – breakfast, lunch, and snacks – the competition is very high here in Cork regarding cafes and snack bars. A few years ago, you wouldn't see a cafe like this anywhere else, so to speak! Now they're everywhere. What I mean is that this cafe, called Noir, needs to create its own brand, its own specialty, so that people become interested and identify with it. I hope it stays open for a long time and I wish it the best of luck in its future endeavors.
