The best restaurants in Cork

24/07/2025: Very good coffee is drunk here with some very good snacks, although everything is very good, breakfast, lunch and snacks, the competition is very fierce here in the city of Cork in relation to cafes and snack bars. A few years ago, you didn't see a cafe, so to speak!!! Now they are everywhere. What I mean is that this cafe called Noir has to create its brand, its specialty, so that people are interested and identify with it. I hope it stays open for a long time and I wish you the best of luck in its development.

03/07/2025: Had brunch here last Sunday morning. Group of 4. Lovely cafe . Food was delicious but the staff especially Denise were so friendly . Would definitely recommend and return.

19/09/2025: Chips were okay, warm but not the best, the chicken was horrible, and I genuinely cannot stress that enough it came cold sort of, and some of it was crispy but majority of the pieces were half soggy which is disgusting and I couldn’t eat it.

21/06/2025: Just ordered delivery, never had food in the restaurant but the delivery was so fast, food was so delicious, the portion was great for the price! Highly recommend! We enjoyed the Pad Thai a lot! Thank you!

12/01/2025: I am ABSOLUTELY APPALLED by the service my family member got today !! We are regulars for years and that is the way they were treated today, and for it the be the owner to have that reaction towards a regular customer is an absolute disgrace. The ladies that work there are fantastic they always greet you with a smile, but safe to say because of the owner!! they will NOT be getting a thing from us after that. I’m sickened!!

02/10/2025: Turners cross Cork-Some of the drive thru staff have little English and get the order wrong all the time .Rude staff food manky and kitchen worker couldnt even make a McChicken sandwich properly overall avoid this place

19/09/2025: Clean, prompt, good vibe, easy interaction. I'm a fusspot who always makes my own breakfast, and the lady was 100% there for that and everything came out perfectly. Great place for a nice traditional breakfast, 100% happy with the experience.

05/09/2025: A true Irish pub, this one can say is 100% Irish. Irish food is served here, and of course, a full Irish breakfast. I can tell you, after a full Irish breakfast, you don't need food for the rest of the day, but it all depends on how much money you intend to spend. Birthday parties are held here; the pub is huge, so you can do whatever you want.

07/09/2025: I’ve been to Golden Bites today, the new shop on Washington Street, with my young son. We were warmly welcomed, and the atmosphere was very pleasant and aesthetically nice. However, I do have some concerns. When placing my order, I made it very clear that my cappuccino should be made with oat milk (for health reasons I cannot consume dairy). Unfortunately, I received a cappuccino with regular milk. I didn’t complain at the time because I’m not the type of person who likes to create conflict at an establishment, but I mentioned twice at the counter that it should be with oat milk. Another point: I’m not sure if I was charged for two portions of grilled buttered bread since I received four slices, but I only ordered one portion, which I believe should be two slices. I also wasn’t given a receipt, so I couldn’t verify the charge. Once again, the environment is very pleasant, and the staff was kind and attentive. However, we have already experienced issues with delivery orders in the past — missing items, wrong orders, etc. I expected that visiting in person would be different, but unfortunately, the same kind of issues happened. This makes it a little difficult to want to return. I truly hope this is just something temporary due to the new location

18/08/2025: Ate the "vegan" chicken dish, pretty sure I had chicken in it though... definitely had egg in my rice! I could barely understand the girl behind the counter, she spoke so quietly. At least it's one of the cheaper places to eat, so if you're looking for a good price-food ratio, this place is fine, just don't expect them to stick with any dietary restrictions. Also you will get paper plates and forks even when you eat inside which is super wasteful. They even served the rice on an extra plate.

07/08/2025: Excellent , Well Done to the Chef here 🤩 , I’m a big fan of the Tandoori Chicken accompanied with the mouthwatering sauce bursting with delightful flavours, I can’t get enough of the food here , while it is not a central location it is definitely worth the the drive , I highly recommend The Raj Gaylord Indian Kerrypike Co Cork .

19/10/2025: Surprisingly good pub food right next to the mill. Really enjoyed my toasted club sandwich and hubby was very impressed with the chowder. The price was great too

18/10/2025: Edit to add another star :) been there for dinner a few times now, the service is getting better as we get to know the place. perfect pint of Beamish. recommended dinner options: lamb shank, ribeye steak, fish and chips - all are lovely Edit to add another star ⭐ Returned for dinner, the pints are quite nice. Dinner was great and affordable. Had the ribeye steak with peppercorn sauce, so yummy. Mrs. had the fish and chips. Portions were generous and tasty. Overall we like the vibe, seems to attract more locals than tourists. We were there for two hours and could have stayed longer. Note that dinner service starts at 5, if you're a bit early have some pints and watch golf on the telly. 🥂

28/09/2025: Very good restaurant here in Wilton. The food is good and everything is very Irish, which is absolute quality. On Sundays they do a kind of rhapsody, which is like an English carvery. It is a very beautiful pub restaurant in itself and spacious. There are many tables and many people go there for lunch and dinner. We can say that they serve food all day long. If you like a good football game, this is the right place or any other type of sport. I highly recommend it to lovers of Irish food, and for those who are from out of town, why not go there and try it? I went there and really liked it.

27/09/2025: Went here today with my elderly mother (who has dementia) and my working dog. Lots of lovely waitresses helped us MULTIPLE times. It was so heart warming to see young girls be so patient and gentle, one even holding my mom's hand and guiding us to a quiet spot. I should have gotten one particular girls name, I regret that - she was so sweet. She is doing a PLC marketing course, that's all I know about her really. We just passed for a cup of soup and a rest while my dad was in the CUH. It was a stressful day but the staff have to be complimented for their polite, attentive and genuine manner. I WILL be back. It's not everywhere that can accommodate the elderly (and their dementia!) but this was just super duper. I'll be recommending it also to my Alzheimer's society friends who have similar struggles to me! Thank you Wilton Bar!
