31/05/2025: Absolutely worth visiting. Good food. Fast served. Staff is super friendly. It's pity we have nothing to match this spot in Cork

15/05/2025: We went for breakfast and the food was amazing, poached eggs were done perfectly and the combination with the yogurt was surprisingly delicious. Especially for such a tiny cafe the food was very tasty! We were just visiting but definitely will be back!

Coffee Cove

Cobh
31/05/2025: Two lovely ladies served us. I loved it and will always come back.
04/05/2025: Perfect little coffee shop with the most tasty coffee and even better yet, the best scone I have ever had. My husband and I were ordering coffee “to take-away” and as we were waiting, I read a clever sign that said: “scones so fresh, they were still flour at 7:00 AM” ! Of course it piqued our interest, we ordered a scone (original) and sat down to enjoy it all. I have to say, the scone was the freshest I have ever tasted. It was perfectly baked, light and fluffy in the inside and the right amount of crispy baked bits on the outside. Let me not forget the clotted cream on the side. If you are ever in Cobh, do yourself a favour, make your way over to the Coffee Cove, order a coffee (or tea), a scone and enjoy a delectable moment surrounded by local and historical momentos.

Roaring Donkey

Cobh
04/05/2025: We went once it opened as needed to get out of the rain so it was quiet but lovely to sit and chat with the lady working behind the bar and then a couple of customers. Can imagine whje there’s plenty people there and music on that it would be a brilliant atmosphere. Not as expensive as some places we drank
02/05/2025: The best pint of Murphy’s I’ve ever had. In fact the best pint of stout I’ve ever had. A brilliant boozer

Connie Doolans

Cobh
24/05/2025: If you are in Cobh (pronounced COVE) and you do not stop in for a pint, you have missed a genuine opportunity. Think of the American TV show Cheers and multiply that by 100 and add the Irish good nature and you are getting close to the feeling you get when you sit at the bar. Start a conversation and soon you will thinking (or wishing) you’re a local. You will learn the pub dates back 200+ years, its connection to the titanic and Cobh’s connection to WW I
05/05/2025: We said we'd try Connie Doolans to hear Buster the singer. The owner was most welcoming and chatty, so that made a difference from the pub the day before. We found a nook where 9 of us could be together and had a great night. All punters were friendly.

11/03/2025: Best vegan pizza I’ve ever had! I would 10000% recommend The Wholey Ground to everyone but especially vegans looking for a really good vegan pizza with really great ingredients. The lads were all so friendly and the service was excellent! Can’t fault it!

Scoops Gelato

Cobh
01/06/2025: Best ice cream I have ever had in Ireland. Pistachio is out of this planet. The texture is like an Italian dream, creamy softness with deep taste will make you want more and more. A true gelato experience in such a beautiful spot. Will definitely come back.
11/05/2025: Almost gave up because of the queue but it was worth the wait. Possibly the best ice-cream I've ever had. đŸ˜¶

The Restaurant at Cobh Heritage

Cobh
21/04/2025: Menu is simple but sometimes the simplest of experiences are the best. Wow, was it tasty and fresh. You simply have to have a hot ham and cheese croissant with relish and the warm ham and cheese scones ( yes scones) with relish as well. Desert wise the warm apple pie with ice cream, the moist carrot cake and the apple and cinnamon crumble were just delicious. Prices were reasonable and what a great environment, nestled in the Cobh heritage centre, near Cobh train station. Special thank you Donna and Ashley for looking after us.

The Quays

Cobh
15/06/2025: In an exceptional location, the very friendly staff seated us at a table with magnificent views and served us very quickly in a quiet environment. But the food was very poor. The chicken curry only tasted of tomato, with the accompanying rice being quite overcooked. The chickpea salad was the best, but the chickpeas were almost nonexistent, slightly chewy, and almost all there was on the plate was lettuce.
12/06/2025: We were looking forward to Fish and Chips, but the meal was a complete failure. The entire dish—fish, batter, and chips—was shockingly bland and had absolutely zero flavor. It was like eating cardboard. One of the most disappointing meals we've ever paid for.
