The best restaurants in Cobh

11/01/2025: A busy little greasy spoon cafe with some extra dishes! Very friendly service, good sized portions and reasonable prices. We tried the full Irish and it's vegetarian counter part. A little salty for my taste but overall no real complaints! 👍

03/01/2025: We were recommended this place as a must visit when in cork. When we came in and sat down the places didn’t disappoint us. The menu is very crisp and clear. We ordered variety of food like Risotto, spaghetti Bolognaise, Leonardos Burger etc. Must say the food tasted good but the burger was a let down. The beef pasty was burnt and was super dry. When the waitress came to ask if all was good. I told her everything was fantastic but for the burger. All she had to say was our burgers are well done and that’s the way it comes. For 17 euros I accept my burgers to be tasting good and I have had a fair share of burgers in my life. All the way from 10 euros to 25 euros so I know what to expect at what price point.

01/01/2025: 🍺 A Great Local Pub for a Pint A brilliant spot to pop in for a pint while you’re in town! The local sport is always on the telly, making it a grand place to relax and soak in the atmosphere. 📺

10/11/2024: Nice old world bar with a great Titanic themed vibe. There is very good variety of beers ciders.etc.. Friendly bar staff and a very competitive price, €8.50 for a pint of Guinness and a half pint of cider, I was charged €10.70 in a Cork city bar last night for the same round ! Guinness was very good 7 outta 10.

04/11/2024: Lovely atmosphere in the pub. A very nice and spacial beer garden.

12/12/2024: We very much enjoyed our meal at Ellens! We arrived for a late breakfast and the service was great as well as the food. Ellen herself was working the kitchen and would periodically visit tables to ask how everything was. If I was a local, I'd eat here often.

17/11/2024: Love the breakfasts here. Big portions. The hot chocolates are unreal too.

12/12/2024: Lovely sandwiches and sides with good variation in the menu, staff are super friendly. Slightly on the more expensive side but for the little extra you’re paying you get way better quality then the next cheapest option. Such good food and charming atmosphere! Highly recommend

28/11/2024: Terrible, ruined my day! The guys seem to have an attitude like they own cobh! Get a lesson on how to talk!

16/12/2024: Visited Coffee Cove and loved the warm, cozy atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive. The scones and latte were great and the seating is perfect for relaxing. Special thanks to Roan, definitely will back again!

01/12/2024: Dropped in on a Sunday afternoon, seated at the front window. Nice view of the water / harbour. Girls liked the spiced chai and Hot Chocolate, beverages. Soup was good ! Quiet cafe / bistro type interior and environment.

17/11/2024: In a week in cobh I tried the entire menu of Sorrento fish & chips, there is no comparison with the other fish & chips, totally on another level both for cleanliness and for quality... Very kind staff and always available to satisfy every request

29/09/2024: Tried spaghetti bolognese this evening. Beautifully cooked and with a deep rich flavour. 5 star food as always!

10/12/2024: Had a lovely lunch here before we left Cobh. I had a panini and my partner had a bagel (which she said was the best bagel she ever had!). Highly recommended.

09/12/2024: On a bright but cold December day, this was the perfect lunch spot to enjoy the views and have some great food. We’ve had Piri-piri prawns in many places, these were the best ever for presentation. The prawns themselves were as good as we have had. Mediterranean salad was excellent. The fish could have been a bit thicker in the fish & chips, but was cooked well. Great location to enjoy stunning sea views.

30/11/2024: The location is absolutely fantastic and the staff are excellent. Maybe I'm spoiled in Westcork, but as soon as I saw the fish, I was disappointed. It was tiny and nowhere near value for money at €22. It tasted fine but it was gone in a flash. I eat fish and chips everywhere i go. Generally the fish is at least twice the size of what was presented to me. The two teaspoons of mushy peas were fine. The chips looked fantastic and were hand cut" real chips". However, they were terrible. I can't really explain, but suffice to say they seemed very dry and probably could have done with a longer blanching to crisp them up. The wedge of lemon was as small as it possibly could be.

07/07/2024: We were here for a charity music event. Bands were great quality. Atmosphere was brilliant. Staff very friendly. Only downside was no food on offer.
