The service was great and the fire wood perfect for the cold weather, it makes you feel cozy like home.

27/01/2025: A lovely, cosy & friendly bar. It looks unassuming from the outside, but inside it's very warm, cosy and full of life. The selection of drinks was great, the bartender that was working was a joy, and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend!

12/12/2024: We very much enjoyed our meal at Ellens! We arrived for a late breakfast and the service was great as well as the food. Ellen herself was working the kitchen and would periodically visit tables to ask how everything was. If I was a local, I'd eat here often.

Amazing coffee, so good , I had two 2 decent mugs.
White untoasted sandwich of chicken tikka. The bread reminded me of " milk bread" of yester year. It was so soft & palatable, it shouldn't be toasted.
Frank, the owner has really captured the essence of a good cafe.

04/02/2025: Cozy tavern near the port. €5.50 a pint. Quiet, cozy and very good music. It's a shame they don't have anything to eat. We spent a good time chatting while having a few pints, in this case of beamish and coors. The quiet parish. The friendly waiter. Good place to rest

16/02/2025: Nice place in Cobh for a coffee and a sandwich. They also have bagel and some eggs breakfast. The service was great, the homemade peach ice tea is a bit pricey but delicious !

09/12/2024: On a bright but cold December day, this was the perfect lunch spot to enjoy the views and have some great food. We’ve had Piri-piri prawns in many places, these were the best ever for presentation. The prawns themselves were as good as we have had. Mediterranean salad was excellent. The fish could have been a bit thicker in the fish & chips, but was cooked well. Great location to enjoy stunning sea views.
30/11/2024: The location is absolutely fantastic and the staff are excellent. Maybe I'm spoiled in Westcork, but as soon as I saw the fish, I was disappointed. It was tiny and nowhere near value for money at €22. It tasted fine but it was gone in a flash. I eat fish and chips everywhere i go. Generally the fish is at least twice the size of what was presented to me. The two teaspoons of mushy peas were fine. The chips looked fantastic and were hand cut" real chips". However, they were terrible. I can't really explain, but suffice to say they seemed very dry and probably could have done with a longer blanching to crisp them up. The wedge of lemon was as small as it possibly could be.
