26/03/2024: My friend and i stopped for a snack here on Saturday afternoon They had a birthday party and music definitely craic agus ceol .i happened to say to gentleman taking our order it was a coincidence it was my bithday aswell .i didn't expect what was to come ! They sang happy birthday to me when bar manager up giving a few 🎵 Then girls came out with birthday cake and candles singing happy birthday 🎂 i was astounded at there friendliness and lovely jesture I was overwhelmed What a lovely place and equally lovely friendly people.

19/11/2023: This is a review i don’t want to leave I have always really liked Leo’s and have always recommended to any family & friends that are visiting but today the food was terrible I was shocked it was so bad. I got a steak sandwich was meant to be a 6oz sirloin on ciabatta bread at best it was a thin piece of frying steak max 2oz on a bit of normal baguette ( that’s me being really generous photo attached) partner got a chicken stir fry the chicken was terrible either microwaved or really low grade chicken my son got a chicken curry his was the same tasted like a microwave curry. I don’t know if the kitchen has changed but this really was the worst meal Iv had that I can remember and Leo’s was always so nice. if this is the quality il not be back and il not recommend it to anyone again so many nice places to eat locally. I was not charged for the steak sandwich and rightly so and to be honest I wouldn’t pay for the stir fry or curry again such a shame used to be a real gem.

25/02/2024: Absolutely great! We stayed at the gateway lodge that's connected. We lucked out having such a great location to have breakfast. We were both pleased and highly recommend for breakfast. Best in town, The french toast with fresh fruit was outstanding!

02/04/2024: We arrived here with friends and family. We hadn't had a great culinary experience over the last 36 hours in Bundoran. And then we strolled into Bella Vista. We were greeted and seated. It felt so homely. The service was prompt and he was excited to introduce us to an Italian Peach juice. It was refreshing and just what we needed to set the tone for the evening. Then came my excellent Fettucini bolognese. The sauce blended so well with the meat and pasta. I'd definitely go back for more. The caprese salad, pizzas and white wine we ordered received great feedback too. The Panna cotta was about alright. The flavors were all in, while the gelatin texture was missing. Reading other reviews, I decided to try out the Italian sourced coffee. I am one who savors an espresso after meals and this one had a light roast and a good hint of sourness. 👍Pretty good coffee. Worth the shot. :)

28/03/2024: Second time we've been here, what a lovely place! Great atmosphere, we had lunch and despiste being super busy, our food came out quickly and was really tasty and well presented - compliments to the chef! The staff were friendly and helpful. Totally recommended, we will be back on our next visit to Ballybofey.

15/02/2024: We've been stopping here over the last few years on the way to Gaoth Dobhair, perfect place for some lunch. Staff are so friendly and helpful and the food is lovely. Gem of a place!

29/03/2024: This is a cozy, friendly spot with seafood that is cooked perfectly. Delicious. We had the herb crusted salmon, mussels, fish cakes and tossed salad. All were delicious but the mussels stood out— the velouté was perfect. Friendly, attentive service and good value for money.

29/03/2024: We discovered this precious gem walking by Donegal Bay just after parking our car. We had a wonderful savoury meal for our family of four! Our host Jo, was so delightful and helpful that we naturally chose food that was full of flavour and very satious. We highly recommend: grilled goat's cheese salad, smoked salmon arancini, king prawn gratin, quay west signature killybegs smokies and parmagiana chicken. Our desserts were spectacular, being: the "infamous" crunchy dessert and the chocolate and almond vegan brownie. All were equally delicious and very well presented. The wine list was sufficiently varied and not too extreme in value. We were sad not to see any Portuguese wine - our personal bias ... Indeed the professionalism and positive energy of the staff was heartwarming. We felt privileged to see the beautiful view of the harbour from the upper level of this very elegant and confortable restaurant.

15/03/2024: It looks better on the outside than the inside. The room and bathroom wasn’t well kept. The breakfast was not good with terrible service. The chef would rather be talking than helping the guests. Do not recommend staying here, find somewhere better.

07/03/2024: Stayed here for 1 night, beautiful hotel with stunning views over the bay. Rooms were very beautifully decorated with comfy bed, lovely wee touches like a spare toothbrush/paste, staff an manager made us very welcome, great breakfast in the morning. A big shout out to Harry the night porter, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you guys for a wonderful stay ❤️ will definitely be back an will recommend to family & friends . See yous all soon.

24/03/2024: Danny Minnies hosted us for a work event recently, and it was honestly such a lovely experience. The staff are so friendly and very welcoming. They invite you to sit in front of a gorgeous open fire, and you look over the menu while enjoying your first drink of the evening. When your first course is ready, they seat you down at your table which was a fantastic way to do it. We had a group of 10ppl and they were so great dealing with so many of us. Every course was gorgeous - the table was silent at times we were so invested in our food! The place is absolutely gorgeous, and would be a beautiful spot for couples to go for a weekend getaway. Danny Minnies was an absolute treat to experience - couldn't recommend the place enough!

24/03/2024: We were staying at an air bnb near this restaurant and decided to eat here for dinner and it did not disappoint. We didn't have a reservation, but they fit us in anyway. The canapés on arrival were a great touch. The dinner was gorgeous and the staff were so nice. Definitely recommend.

03/04/2024: Myself and my partner ate here for the first time and the service we received from entering to leaving was amazing. The food was sooooooo delicious. Staff where so friendly and couldn't do enough, credit to the head chef who we also chatted to lovely English guy. Great place and I defo will be returning which is about a 50 minute drive from where we live to the restaurant. We will be recommending to friend and family to also come and try.

06/05/2024: Just wow 😀 Definitely our favourite spot for breakfast and coffee with a beautiful view. If you're in Buncrana you definitely need to try them out. Friendly staff and good food.
