Thunders Home Bakery
Dublin
31/12/2024: I bought a cake from the Phibsborough shop on Saturday, the 21st, and was assured by the staff that it would stay fresh until the next day. But when I opened the box on Sunday, the strawberries were moldy, and the cake tasted awful. We had to throw the whole thing away—it was completely inedible.
I contacted customer service, and on December 30th, they told me they couldn’t refund me because I had thrown the cake out (as if I was supposed to keep a moldy cake in my house for over a week!). They offered me a free replacement cake instead, but after such a terrible experience, there’s no way I’d want another cake from them.
In short, they sell moldy cakes, and even when you show detailed photos, they refuse to refund you. I wouldn’t recommend Thunders to anyone. There’s a Tesco right next door that sells fresh cakes for half the price—and they’re actually good!

The Brasserie at Clayton Hotel Leopardstown
Dublin

Ginzeng
Dublin
03/07/2024: People raved about this Ginzeng. Tried ordering orange chicken, lady said they had none today. Opted for the king prawns (I think salt & pepper?) at €10.00. Asked if it came with rice - yes, for another €5.00. Ditched the rice idea. They called me to the counter when my prawns (shrimp, actually) were ready Five of them. FIVE prawns on a bed of huge slices of green pepper and onion, with a few dots of chillies. Prawns were crunchy - not the batter, the actual prawns - and I couln't eat partially-cooked green pepper and onion. Took my tray (with the serving dish still full of "veg") to the counter when I was done, and was told to take it to a stand outside another restaurant. I pointed out that maybe a staff member could take it, and maybe show the chef how much of the meal was still in the dish. "No, you take it over there." Which I did - and I will remain "over there" next time I'm at Liffey Valley. Shocking prices, unexpectedly disappointing food. 1 out of 5, only because this page won't let me put 0.5.
08/03/2024: The Square Tallaght. Staff unfriendly, rude and unaccomadating. I got A four item box to sit in I requesting a little more curry sauce over my meal. I was advised if I wanted more I would have to for the curry sauce. Absolutely shocking. Zero customer service.

Abrakebabra
Dublin
29/07/2023: Love my kebabs, so these are always nice, it's in a garage with groceries as well, but has a nice little dining area, nice staff, give plenty on the kebab.
22/07/2023: Asked for a doner kebab tray, and all I got was a tiny box full of vegetables and about 5 tiny pieces of doner. Disappointing as I spend 8€ and didn't even snack
