31/12/2024: Our first time here, cosy little spot, lovely atmosphere, outstanding service, delicious food with plenty of veggie options.

24/12/2024: My family and I enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Eve lunch at Harbour House. Attentive, friendly staff, excellent food (the Typhoon Shelter special was an unexpected delight) and such a cozy, festive atmosphere. We’re coming back real soon!

03/02/2025: Delicious! I'm surprised, we ordered home delivery and everything was very good! I recommend the carbonara pasta, it comes with a lot of bacon.

02/11/2024: Disappointed that when u order on line u hsve ti spend over 25 euro to get delivery but if u ring up u don't, but won't take card anymore . Makes no sense at all it use too . Just got carbonara absolutely delicious but the portion size was absolutely tiny it use to be bigger

05/04/2025: Tryed to call in today at 3.40 kind girl was getting us menus and then batista said they close at 4 sorry but Google sas 5pm and writing on the door says 5pm. Fair enough if they want to get out early but very rude!

16/02/2025: Thanks a lot to Cillian, Sam, Amy and Megan, who have been extremely nice to us and offered a great service. Although another day we came in the afternoon and the service was not that nice to us, today these 4 guys have been great., and have improved our experience here.

29/01/2025: Good bits: Well presented, well managed restaurant tasteful decoration with impressive details. Excellent food, love the burger! Service was perfect, lovely staff, so nice to us. Not so good: restaurant was closed off so ended up eating on a couch too low to the table so a bit awkward. Bad: Nothing to say here. Great place. Great food and service. Very relaxed and private with nooks to hide yourself away. Definitely would go back.

29/01/2025: I had an awful urge to have a spice bag as a treat once a week, but my local Chinese Takeawy only takes cash, and I had none only my card. Hungry and cold, I went into the Macaris Take Away next door. Disappointed not to be having a spice bag, I walked into Macaris only to be hit with the most amazing aroma, and in a millisecond, my craving for a spice bag vanished. The menu was mouthwatering, and my dilemma began what to order. However, I was only I the door and asked for my order in my panic. I said one fresh cod and 3 chips. Done order put it, but my mind was racing, asking me questions like you fool, what about smoked cod, batterburger, or even chicken? I was distracted by the good banter with customers and staff. Everyone was in top form. My order was ready. Do you want chips separate or all together? I was asked, but of course, altogether. Salt and vinegar, I was asked again, as much as you wan, I said. The bag of food was handed to me like I was receiving the World Cup. I live locally, but my drive home seemed endless as my anticipation was getting out of control. I rang home to have plates warmed and bread buttered for the most glorious of sandwiches a chip butty;. I was received by my wife, son, and yes, our dog, a hero. We ate our food in complete silence while watching Deadpool and Wolverine. Thank you, Macaris. we had a wonderful evening eating simple food cooked to perfection and all because I did not have cash. How fortuitous was that?

04/04/2025: Food was having more salty and making it like worst taste. They say Buffet on 10.99 euro but in-fact they will give you a small plate full of rice, a chicken drumstick, a chicken wing and loads of salad along with a Naan. ( they will fill plate for you, you are not allowed to fill). If ask for more naan they won’t give. No dessert, no drink/water and no Kabab included.

04/04/2025: Hand down the best coffee in Dublin! The flavours are always rich and smooth. The food is delicious, with great variety to choose from. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great coffee and tasty bites!

23/03/2025: I have been going there from Kerry and Limerick whenever I visit Dublin. Amazing breakfast in the morning we use to take and then lunch time, home made burgers are great and pizzas. Very kind owner and polite. Highly recommend.

01/04/2025: Staff here are very inconsiderate. Did not check up on me once. Garlic bread took an hour to come. Online menu has completely different and misleading prices compared to the actual restaurant menu which they do not show online which is much more expensive.

13/03/2025: Been going to Mario's for 30 years since I was a toddler with my parents. Had multiple birthdays there, including my 21st. Will no doubt bring my own children there in the near future. Always a pleasure, great food and atmosphere.

30/03/2025: I bought my parents a voucher for the restaurant (6 courses and wine) and it had a 3 month expiry, which is very tight for such a busy restaurant. We requested one extra day on the voucher but the restaurant said that they wouldn't honour the offer on the voucher. They said would the give the euro value of the voucher. We changed the date within the expiry and responded to the member of the team and stated we have moved our booking to ensure we got the full value of the voucher. When my parents went to pay, they were informed the voucher is not valid on certain days so they had to pay extra. There is no mention of this on the voucher itself. It is within the terms and conditions which is a link. This is very sneaky from an establishment like this. 1. To hide this in the terms and conditions and 2. For the member of the team to not inform us about this when we stated we moved the date to get full value of the voucher. The staff in the restaurant even agreed how wrong this is but it is a decision by management. Really disappointing.

24/12/2024: A perfect combination of past and present in this phenomenal bar! The atmosphere is pleasant, relaxed! Everyone is kind and polite! The prices are moderate, and the terrace is really wonderful, like a small trip to the past! The interior is beautiful! The building itself is impressive, and the surroundings are picturesque and wonderful for a walk! The service is professional, the food is really great, the coffee is phenomenal, as well as desserts and all other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and cocktails! It is suitable for families with children! They even have little chairs for them! You can also reserve a seat!

22/03/2025: Overall, a very good experience here. Chips were a solid 10/10. Crispy, skin on decent portion and hot!! Chicken burger was good, simple but tastey!! The chicken tenders were also good. Only thing I disagree with is charging the 15c tax on the coke zero when the price is already hiked up! Very nice staff :)

24/03/2025: After missing the luas, I said I’d kill time and have a pint of the gorgeous Kilkenny. I enter and to be fair my order was taken promptly, “a Kilkenny please” the pint was poured 3/4 and left to settle…. No problem, I sat at the bar cash ready, mouth watering. After a minute or so, pint settled ready for a top up, bar man glued to the phone no bother I thought, good things come to those who wait. But after watching the barman in-groused by tinder on his phone for 8 minutes, to then top up the pint and ask me for €8:30 of my hard earned cash, I was shook,” it’s the big smmoooke, big prices” I thought. Let the pint settle, hopefully the product reflects the price. But unfortunately dear reader, it wasn’t. It was poor, nevertheless not the worst pint Iv had (worst was in an Indian restaurant in Manchester, don’t ask never again), disappointed I retreated from the establishment, delighted to say I’m currently on the train back home to “the bog” thinking to myself about all the poor yanks mr smith takes advantage of, if ye want advice walk two minutes to the boars head, what an excellent pint there! Still not the cheapest bit at least it’s decent. Yours a culchie

28/01/2025: Love this Cafe!! The staff is always nice and welcoming. The food is delicious as well. The cashier also gave me an extra slice of blueberry sponge cake for free. Thank you so much 🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️
