23/02/2025: Wow, I was in this pub again recently after a two year break. The host was so rude, really bad. I haven't experienced such insolence in a long time. I really can't recommend it, I'd rather go somewhere else. Totally unpleasant atmosphere Bad-tempered faces at the bar The service was really bad. Barely had time to place our order. The waiter immediately left as if he was happy to be rid of us. Totally unfriendly and not interested in his job. That doesn't work at all!

28/04/2025: Yeah, so I ordered delivery twice, both of those times the food was very salty. Not sure if it’s the meat seasoning or the salsa the second time that I got my order wrong and they did not include the tofu that I selected. I think their seasoning is OK, I actually really do like the tofu seasoning, but it is on the salt to your side. But I suppose this is a healthier option for those you wanna customizetheir own bowls. Guacamole also tasted good.

10/06/2025: Eddie Rocket’s is always a great choice for a fun, tasty meal! The retro diner vibe is super nostalgic and adds a lot of character to the experience. The burgers are delicious, freshly made, and full of flavor. I also love the shakes—rich, creamy, and the perfect treat. The staff are friendly and attentive, and service is usually quick even when it’s busy. Whether you’re in for a quick bite or a relaxed meal with friends or family, Eddie Rocket’s delivers consistently great food in a fun atmosphere. Highly recommended!

30/05/2025: The food was over salty, the tenders were a little over cooked and chewy, we asked for a regular milkshake but got a small instead, the onion rings were not coated very well and the coating kept falling off and half the menu is gone, but everything is over priced €57.00 for 2 adults and one child is very expensive for crappy quality of food. The fries used to have a better flavour now they are just salty, bring back the slider burgers and I might come back but for now I won't be going again not good value for money and the food was definitely not worth it. Its only saving grace is the garlic mayo and the staff are lovely.

20/05/2025: I've always liked the food here. It used to be more of a sports bar which was great for watching a rugby match but ever since the renovation I haven't been in to watch one. Doesn't feel like the same kind of space for that.

22/04/2025: Food was lovely. Staff were lovely. The major let down was no tea/coffee or juice with the breakfast. Charging an extra €7 for two cups of tea with a full Irish breakfast at city centre prices is scandalous. Should be highlighted on the menu that tea at that price is not included in a Full Irish breakfast

18/05/2025: Well, I guess it goes without saying that we loved Mugs as we went there for each morning for breakfast. The staff was great, terrific selection of foods, coffees, and teas. Quirky and fun atmosphere, and a stand across the road with outdoor seating when the weather is grand (which is almost every day).

24/05/2025: Two sandwiches cost a whopping €36! That on its own should speak volumes but it's worth elaborating just how profoundly disappointing this place is. One might mistakenly think the price is warranted by some form of logic. Let me be clear: there is no form of business mental gymnastics that can provide a satisfactory answer. First, the positives, so you know that I do not troll. The space is beyond cute, it is adorable. Juniors has a simple but refined outdoor covered outdoor space that has quite an idyllic charm to it. It makes up in vibe and charm what it thoroughly lacks in real view (it really only looks onto the SPAR and pub across the road, quite grimly if you ask me). Service is middling. The waitresses are accommodating but they are dreadfully slow to prepare the food which also takes ages and comes colder than takeaway that needs to traverse the city. Considering these two criteria alone I would not rate Juniors higher than a 3. Harsh but abundantly fair. Once we tried the food and realized the price/value ratio (or lack thereof) that is unfortunately when it became apparent that a decent cratering of this otherwise bland and average outfit was required. First know that they specialize in sandwiches and brunch food and every item on the menu approaches €20 or is a few € over that threshold. The food itself is as generic as it can get. Juniors is not the first place, nor will it be the last, to make it's business model putting together very standard amalgamations of extremely cheap ingredients and passing them off as "gourmet". We were there at 1.15 (a very reasonable lunch hour) and they had already run out of their steak and chicken sandwiches (which frankly sounded the most appetizing). A pointed but not insurmountable disappointment. I ordered the Beef Brisket, kindly asking the kitchen to swap out the bagel for a ciabatta (the right choice IMO), while my partner settled on the California, also on a ciabatta instead of the bagel found on the menu. I'm fond of Beef Brisket especially considering its very humble history as an overlooked cut that would in fact often get binned. I was shocked to see Juniors pass it off as of similar value to a steak. Especially considering their Beef Brisket sandwich is 1 part brisket (very dry and overcooked), 4 parts coleslaw (another incredibly cheap to make concoction) and just a few leaves of rocket... The California similarly is nothing more than a BLT with avocado and arugula instead of the lettuce. Lazy and far from impressive if you ask me. Additional negative points would be warranted for just slapping the avocado in the sandwich with no form of treatment, adding to the total lack of flavour and enjoyability as you will often find yourself fighting against slippery motions of the single slice of avocado, trying to eat it before it has a chance to slide out. Both came with fries. I've been more impressed by frozen fries from Tesco. Overall an abysmal experience. This was also my first time visiting despite being in the area for 5 years. I will happily go another 5 years (and hopefully longer) without returning.

15/05/2025: A nice spot to grab a coffee while out for a walk with my 1 year old son. Staff really friendly and food reasonably priced. I would highly recommend. Grab a coffees & treats then off for a walk in park..

17/03/2025: Cat ate my food and i didn’t get another meal. What do they expect me to do? Eat food that a stray cat ate out of? €6.50 GONE. My friend then gave me some of her food. We are both students that get allowance, WE couldn’t afford to get another meal just because something happened that wasn’t our fault. Work on basic hygiene

29/04/2025: Al llegar a la apertura de la hora del almuerzo estábamos primero en la cola que se estaba formando. Así que después de elegir entre una amplia selección tomó las golosinas y se sentó para un sabroso almuerzo. Primera vez en cualquiera de sus sucursales pero muy contento y satisfecho con el servicio, el valor y lo más importante la tarifa. Se hizo progresivamente más ocupado con un amplio potencial de los muchos negocios alrededor.

17/04/2025: Gave me cold tacos ?? The chicken was the last scrap from the bottom. Stone cold cheese. Have food poisoning now 3 days after. Atmosphere was also extremely strange and the workers acted as if they had just been born.

04/05/2025: I read the recent review, and it's not accurate. He is not the owner, but he is connected to the owners. He is a very elderly man who was bothered by people sitting with laptops, and he happened to be there and commented on it. This should be seen for what it is — an elderly person making a remark, nothing more. The actual owners of the café are extremely kind, always helpful, and make sure customers are comfortable. The place has excellent service, a pleasant atmosphere, delicious food, and very fair prices. The owners themselves were not present at the time, but someone affiliated with them was there. He calmed the elderly man, even helped me with electricity, and apologized on his behalf. There’s no reason to boycott a place that genuinely works hard to make everyone happy, provides jobs, and supports the local economy. Just because of one incident involving an elderly person, it’s not worth dismissing the bigger picture. People — and especially older people — sometimes make comments. It’s nothing to get upset about. I promise you, if you come and meet the owners, they’ll tell you the same thing. I’ll definitely will keep coming. As regulars we should respect everyone. And when it’s come down to elderly, we should sometimes listen with our hearts and not just with our ears. Have a great day. 🙏🏽

16/02/2025: Nossa visita ao estabelecimento foi bastante agradável. As atendentes tem um alto carisma e nos atenderam com excelência. A bruschetta que comi estava maravilhosa. O capuccino foi preparado com cuidado e perfeição, muito bom também. Resumindo, é um bom local para se visitar e tomar um café!

24/12/2024: A real Dublin pub, middle of the road pricing, Guinness is outstanding. As a stranger, everyone turned a looked when I entered, but within minutes I was at home. Well worth a visit.

05/02/2025: We order from here really often and it’s our favourite takeaway. The chicken shish is amazing and chicken and mushroom main is really tasty. The staff are always so helpful and nice. Highly recommend.
