The best restaurants in Dublin

29/05/2026: Ordered a very strange tasting Thai green curry that made us feel a bit unwell. It was great when it was Ecoco but since it rebranded as scent it’s terrible .

30/03/2026: Absolutely amazing Chinese takeaway! The food is always fresh, hot, and packed with flavour. Their portions are generous, and you definitely get great value for money. The sweet and sour chicken is perfectly crispy, and the chow mein is full of rich, authentic taste. What really stands out is the consistency — every order is just as good as the last. The staff are friendly, service is quick, and everything is always ready on time. Whether you’re ordering for yourself or a group, they never disappoint. Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality Chinese food that hits the spot every single time!

06/07/2026: Only star deserved is for the food (but overpriced still) Drinks are bad the place smells like toilet very old and people are rude! Specially a blond old lady!! The place is gross in general.

04/07/2026: Terrible. We were just there and they treated us terribly. They told us we couldn't stay because it was fully booked. Obviously, the woman who came to tell us this didn't like us. We're perhaps older than usual, but we've been there the last three nights without any problems. In fact, one night we had dinner at a reserved table that no one showed up for. I don't know, it didn't seem right to me, especially since it's a huge place and it was 8 pm. I definitely felt awful and I absolutely do not recommend it.

10/10/2025: I visited Bunsen Blanchardstown on Friday evening (October 10th), and despite the place being incredibly busy with people constantly queuing, the experience was fantastic thanks to the amazing girls working on the floor. There were only three staff members managing all the tables and service, yet they went above and beyond to make sure every customer was looked after. They were constantly on the move, multitasking minute after minute, all while staying friendly, calm, and professional. The food was, as always, top quality fresh, delicious, and perfectly cooked. A special shoutout to the girl working Friday evening, dark hair in two braids, wearing a North Face T-shirt, she was an absolute Wonder Woman, absolutely incredible! So kind, attentive, and hardworking. She truly deserves recognition for how well she handled the chaos. But let’s be clear, the owners and upper management should be ashamed. Having only three staff on the floor and three in the kitchen for such a busy location is completely unacceptable. The fact that these workers are forced to carry the entire operation while management sits back and lets it happen is disgraceful. Bunsen has built a great name for its food and service, but that reputation doesn’t come from the owners, it comes from the incredible frontline staff who are being stretched to their limits. These girls aren’t just doing their jobs; they’re saving your brand every single shift.

18/07/2026: Good Food, Good Service, Good Value. This is exactly what a cafe/restaurant should be and what has become so difficult to find. The food is excellent with a great variety across the menu, and the best chips I’ve had in a long time. The service was friendly, genuine, efficient, attentive, and professional. There was the correct number of good staff, looking to serve the patrons, as opposed to the more recent trend of an excess of staff that actively avoid eye contact and leave you frustrated. The food was served on properly sized plates, which again is something that has become harder to find. Too many restaurants have picked the plates and cups first because of the aesthetic, and not factored will the food fit on it. The focus at Cafe Monto is clearly the food first and then having appropriate tableware, not tableware that looks good on instagram but is not functional. Finally, for the first time in a long time I felt that I paid an appropriate amount for what I received. This is the very fundamentals of dining out done right, something that has all but disappeared from Dublin in recent years, and I cannot recommend Cafe Monto enough.

14/06/2026: The display says its 11 euro for a kebab, drink and chips, but I never got chips with my order. The kebab was incredibly underwhelming. The naan bread is good but it got ruined by an extreme amount of thi strange mild sauce that made everything soggy and messy to eat. The chicken was not seasoned at all, and it wasn't grilled once they cut it off the kebab rotisserie, which made it taste like mush. The staff never asked me what ingredients I wanted in it, or even if I wanted it spicy, which I do. They were more worried about changing the TV channel for the Scotland match for a group of drunken lads, so nobody was cooking, making it a really long wait for a simple kebab. The only good thing was these round donuts they sell on the counter, those were actually really nice. There are plenty other nicer kebab shops around, unfortunately it was late at night and my favourite spot was already closed, so I had to go to this one. Did not enjoy it.

13/06/2026: I came here about 3 years ago and still feel that this is some of the best food I've ever had in my life. Not just in Dublin, but the world. The staff was also very friendly and I still remember talking to one of the cooks about how he ski'd in the Winter Olympics before moving to Ireland. I also remember that the portion was perfect, and I was completely full after eating this for about 2/3 the price of other restaurants around. I came here 3 times during my trip. Highly recommend.

21/11/2025: Lovely hotel with nice staff, but it's over priced I believe for the quality of the rooms, TVs without modern smart facilities, etc. I also paid €28 per night for valet parking, but valet really means you just have to queue at reception to give them your key, give them 15mins notice to get your car back and both times I gave notice I was waiting much longer; once because they were busy and had another car to move first (I don't see how that added so much time) and the second time because there was a delivery truck in the bay - it's far too expensive for the service.

23/08/2025: It's an Italian place with a wonderful atmosphere. The sandwiches have delicious, crunchy bread, and the ingredients are specially designed to leave you with a great taste in your mouth. Their coconut biscuits are also delicious.

04/10/2025: Always serving delicious very well balanced, perfectly cooked breakfast and lunch. Today's brunch with brisket beef on real sourdough, eggs and Japanese flavours is another great taste and value example!

21/05/2026: Lovely cafe to stumble upon. We were looking for hot chocolate but the ice-cream caught our eye and was perfect. Sat outside and there was no rush to give up the table, nice and relaxed. The girl from Brazil that served us was so lovely and helpful

31/05/2026: After checking into our room on our honeymoon, room was extremely hot no AC, no refrigerator and when my husband asked for a bucket of ice for his room at the bar, the kid at the bar proceeded to tell him he would give him a pint glass of ice and that’s it! “Otherwise you can go down to the store and buy ice “ I am truly disappointed and in disbelief that after spending over $200 a night for a room, my husband was told he could not get a bucket of ice I would Not recommend this hotel

10/05/2026: So glad we stayed here our first couple days in Ireland. Easy to access from the airport and they let us drop our bags off well before the rooms were ready. Great ammenties, helpful staff, and lovely cafe/bar attached.
