For just under €9, I enjoyed a perfectly brewed coffee alongside a stunning **red velvet cake** that was absolutely delicious. The cake was a masterpiece—moist, rich, and topped with a luscious cream cheese frosting that melted in my mouth. To enhance this delightful treat, I ordered a scoop of ice cream and a dollop of cream on the side, both beautifully presented. The ice cream added a delightful creaminess that perfectly complemented the cake, making each bite an indulgent experience. What truly made my visit memorable was the exceptional service. The beautiful staff members were not only friendly but also attentive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Their cheerful demeanor added an extra touch to my day, turning a simple coffee break into a delightful outing. Overall, Douglas & Kaldi Café is a hidden gem in Dublin. With its high-quality offerings at such an affordable price, it’s hard to go wrong here. If you're looking for an amazing coffee and dessert experience, I highly recommend stopping by. This place definitely deserves a **5-star** rating!

06/01/2025: Two kebabs delivered tonight for myself and my partner. Very light on the meat. First time we have walked away from a kebab and still hungry after a 30e fee. Disappointing as usually a much better feed. Will not be back

30/10/2024: If this restaurant refines just one dish, the “Tandoori Chicken” then the rest of Dublin’s Indian establishments might well close their doors, as this is the only spot truly serving authentic South Asian flavours. Unlike others, they haven’t compromised/diluted their dishes to cater to a universal palate. A standout is their “Laal Maans” which boldly showcases the richness of traditional spices. It’s no surprise that the restaurant consistently earns five-star reviews. Having ordered from here for over two years, I’ve yet to be disappointed. 05/08/2024: Been a regular, the food had always been good. However, the quality seems to have gone down. The goan sea food which we ordered this time was rancid, the fish was stale. Best to avoid this dish.

18/12/2024: We loved this bar, linked to the hotel so right on our doorstep. Staff are great, excellent choices, lovely venue. You need to try it at least once, then you'll be back..

07/01/2025: Cool spot in a central location, it's a nice place to swing by when you want a light lunch - the toasties are great but the service is sometimes a bit lacking.

20/12/2024: I’ve stayed here a number of times and my last visit was horrible. Me and my partner decided to have a drink and some food to celebrate my birthday (clearly over 18) when upon asking for a drink my boyfriend showed the bartender my id which then the bartender said it is fake. He then talked to his boss while making us feel quite uncomfortable while waiting for our food. He came over about ten minutes later and decided to shout infront of the whole restaurant that my boyfriends id is real and then pointed at me saying mine is clearly fake, I then set there pure embarrassed by this while the other customers looked at me strangely. I couldn’t sit there and enjoy my food so I then had to eat it in my room after this altercation it upset me the whole night. Please teach your staff proper customer care

17/12/2024: I've had lok moon many times over the course of my life and have often found the food to be inconsistent, like it was a different takeaway each time. However, the last few times I've ordered the food has been great, from black beans (my favourite) to their duck, to their much improved spice bag. It's a spot I'll be returning to a more going forward.

31/12/2024: We had booked here for lunch today but were very disappointed with the lack of service. When we entered we were left standing while the so called receptionist played with the screen in formnt of her. My daughter gave our name and time of booking but she seemed unintrested. Such a shame. We all had the carvery lunch which we all agreed was superb. Both the chefs serving and the guy at the till were very plesant and smiling. But then came another one of those waitresses, seemed to us she did not want to be there. I ordered some drink from her but 10 mins later it did not arrive. the situation was saved by the young man who had been at the till earlier, he brought the drink which was served with a plesant smile.

22/12/2024: He estado yendo al Edén por más de 20 años y recientemente he estado decepcionado. Los precios han ido astronómicos Sé que es como todo en Irlanda, pero es demasiado caro ahora para justificar 25 € para la principal, porciones han ido más pequeñas también. 50 para un Prosecco es más que el centro de Londres. El servicio estaba bien, era Navidad, hubiera esperado un poco más de ánimo del personal, simplemente no puedo poner mi dedo en lo que es con el lugar, pero el ambiente es muy diferente. Es una verdadera lástima como dije que he estado yendo aquí durante algún tiempo.

29/06/2024: Very good value. Ordered a durum mix menu. Chef was ok with making it into a wrap. Nicely sliced and even gave some vinegar for chips. Can highly recommend. Good friendly service and super tasty kebab

18/08/2024: Used to be reliable but it’s not good any more. Gummy slippery chicken, and the worst bbq sauce I’ve ever had. It was like gone off gravy. Prices have gone up and quality has gone way down.
