The best restaurants in Dublin

27/02/2025: I got a donut and coffee before a bus tour leaving nearby. I appreciate that the shop is open at 0630 even on a Sunday. The donut was fresh and the coffee was delicious. I went back a couple of times during my week.

17/11/2024: Visiting friends, who live beside boomers, yesterday Saturday 16th November. Good band, promt bar service. However went to bathroom badly signposted and seen disabled toilet and another cubicle which I used 2 or 3 times over the evening. Last time I went in. Got a lot of banging on the door saying OUT OUT. so came out to a female bouncer and a manager type guy very angry and saying hey u have been told 4 times not to use this bathroom, which was a total shock to me, as hadn't spoken to any staff members all evening, when I said . Nobody has said anything to me. They got thick and kept saying. Il throw u out etc etc. I've worked in retail and the hospitality sector all my life. And wasn't drunk or rude... Treated like a scumbag. Won't recommend or be back.

13/11/2024: Had a fabulous 21st Birthday Party upstairs here. Staff were great and the DJ was fantastic. A lovely venue to have a party in. Food and service was excellent. Highly recommend.

03/02/2025: I've always enjoyed this place but not from tonight.I'm celiac and this evening I almost felt sick, they got my order wrong They gave me some food with gluten and I realized it after eating it a little They kept the receipt so I don't even have proof and yet they tried to scam us by making us pay an extra can. They also wrote a bottle of water when I asked for a Sprite Luckily I didn't feel terrible but I feel a little strange with a little nausea.I will definitely never go back after today.

08/04/2025: This review is only reviewing the confectionery that is for sale at this cafe. It is not reviewing the staff, atmosphere or comfort. Everything in the glass counter display is not fresh- it comes from a supplier that freezes the foods to last longer. It may be delivered daily but it is never fresh ! Scones are hard and stogy - not fluffy and fresh like their close competitors. Banana bread , croissants and almond cakes are not fresh and definitely have been frozen. Can the Management not source fresh food & confectionery on a daily basis if they cannot produce it themselves. Very very disappointing indeed !!!

07/04/2025: Made a booking on booking.com. Got an message with a link. Which I was weary to click on due to link scams on booking.com previously. Phoned the hotel to be met with the most rudest lady Larisa who told me I need to click the link to pay or she will cancel my booking. Asked if she could take payment on the day or over the phone and she refused both times. Claiming she would cancel my booking if I didn't pay. Then proceeded to lecture me for making the booking through booking.com. Then threatened she would cancel again. Phoned booking.com who phoned her and she was rude to them also. Claimed to send over a link with caps PAY HOTEL NOW. But no link to pay. Booking.com Phoned again and still hasn't sent over the link and won't cancel my booking now. I do not want to stay in the hotel anymore and would them to please cancel my reservation.

01/04/2025: Best bbq ever! A must go! Definitely will get your moneys worth. Had the beef ribs. They were falling apart, so tender. The coleslaw had a spicy kick to it as well. So good.

16/03/2025: I had been looking forward to trying BBQ Pitt Bros in Dublin for some time, and on March 16th, my family and I finally got the chance. We placed a takeaway order, paid €111.40, and waited for our food. Before leaving, I double-checked with the waitress twice to confirm that everything was included in the bag. Unfortunately, when we got home, we discovered that nearly half of our order was missing. This was incredibly disappointing, especially given the anticipation and the price we paid. It’s frustrating that no one took the time to properly check the order, despite my efforts to ensure it was correct before leaving. I couldn’t leave a proper review of the food as I didn’t receive everything I ordered and genuinely didn’t expect such disappointment with my first visit to this place. A restaurant’s attention to detail is just as important as the quality of the food, and in this case, the service fell short. I hope they improve their takeaway process so others don’t have the same experience.

08/04/2025: Came for lunchtime. Staff were friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was great and delicious food!

04/04/2025: Had a birthday dinner here and experience wasn’t good. Food was meh, waitress was a bit rude, orders were mixed up even though it was all double checked after making the order. The pizza was ok but no one liked the carbonara. When asked about the food we didn’t like the carbonara and were being asked why we didn’t like until the very last minute we were, not very comfortable for us. Don’t really recommend this place.

30/01/2025: Has been one of my favorite places for years, great food, lovely staff, whether dining in or taking away, it never disapoints. The Lab Gai is my favorite dish, if you can handle the heat, but it's all lovely, think have tried every dish at this point. Highly recommend!!! Update - The Food is still as amazing as ever, great staff, the manager who runs the place is so proffesional, she'd do well in any High End restaurant in London or Paris. Highly recommend Thanks

21/01/2025: This business left unprovoked hateful comments on my personal Instagram page I assume because of political disagreements. I love small businesses but not ones who harass people online. I wouldn't trust them serving me food and you shouldn't either.

24/03/2025: Best place when your in a hurry has a bank machine down the back only gives out 120 at a time and dose do delivery just ask at till the staff are very friendly and helpful and the butchers meat is top notch I also get the kilbride dinners have to say tastes amazing love it great place wel done and close by the parks so if its hot get some good selection of ice lollys peace

18/02/2025: Walk past the over priced robbing pubs and go here instead. Interior not changed in years maybe decades. Great bar staff and friendly customers. Toilets will make you laugh and I hope they never modernise this pub.

30/03/2025: If I could give 0 stars then I would. Worst experience I've had in any cafe. I felt like I was on faulty towers. From forgotten orders to horrible food. A smashed wine class at my feet, only picked up when I pointed it out. Honestly even if everywhere else is full, keep walking passed this place.
