The best restaurants in Dublin

14/05/2025: Very well run, and the staff are brilliant. There was a new staff member being trained in and he made a couple of mistakes on my order, the girls quickly helped him get to terms without making him feel stupid. Food is of excellent quality and freshness. I'd give it a 10/10 on all fronts.

15/04/2025: We had a “Full Irish” breakfast at McCabes Deli. The waitress was very nice, and didn't hesitate to repeat when we couldn't understand her English well. We were served very quickly, with very generous plates and a hot drink, for a sum of €12.9. The place was not unpleasant. We recommend!

12/03/2025: I visit this coffee shop quite often and have generally been pleased with both the service and the food/drinks. But recently, this month, they have made my coffee incorrectly three times. First, they overheated it, second, they added coconut instead of hazelnut syrup, and once they didn't add any syrup at all.

08/06/2025: I absolutely love Butlers' chocolate and drinks, and I’ve been to almost every store in Dublin. Sadly, my visit to the Butlers Chocolate Café on Grafton Street on May 16th, 2025 was by far the worst experience I’ve had. Even though I was the only customer and it wasn’t a busy time, the atmosphere was cold and unwelcoming. None of the staff greeted me—they actually seemed annoyed by my presence. Three staff members (2girls and 1man) were giggling and whispering among themselves, which made things really uncomfortable. The male staff member at the register and drink counter was especially rude, treating me in a mocking way and seeming to joke about me with the others. Really disappointing, especially coming from a brand I’ve always loved and supported. I honestly don’t understand how staff with such a poor attitude get hired. *Staff at other Butlers locations have generally been very friendly, and I’ve never experienced any problems until now.

26/04/2025: None of the seasonal drinks I wanted were available, which was a bummer. The rudeness of the trainee was unnecessary.

28/04/2025: The employee was bit rude, there was 5 of us we all paid at the beginning then she kept insisting that we haven’t paid, she was very slow and barely remembered our orders, then she said something about us in Portuguese when we were about to leave, a bunch of Brazilians laughed, it was obviously due to her comment

15/04/2025: Great place with top notch Korean and Chinese (particularly Northeast Chinese) food - I visited twice within the space of a long weekend in Dublin! All the dishes are very generous and you get a lot for your money. I tried the boiled dumplings (just like in North China with the perfect texture), traditional Dongbei guobaorou, prawns with cashew nuts which had perfectly balanced seasoning and suitably spicy Korean stir fried pork with Kimchi. They also have a selection of north Chinese cold dishes well matched with a good chilli oil, and traditional Chinese soups to round out your meal that are overlooked by most Chinese restaurants, even ones that take themselves very seriously. The family behind it were very attentive and around to help throughout, even though we arrived near closing time.

07/12/2024: We called ahead to get a last minute table with our baby and were surprised at how lovely and accommodating the staff were even though they were busy with Christmas parties bustling in. We had just been asked to leave Harry Byrnes, (we didn’t realise they no longer serve food and are over 21s) so the friendly welcome in out of the rain was so appreciated. The gentleman from Village Pizza had organised a table for us in the pub, with plenty of space for the pram and a high chair. We ordered two pizzas which were so delicious. There was a bit of a wait but I’m not surprised and they were well worth it. Best pizza we’ve had, really hit the spot. Perfectly cooked with a beautiful chewy crust. Cannot wait to go back. Thanks for a lovely experience

06/05/2025: I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. In my opinion, it is not worth the price (I know that Ireland is expensive, but don't exaggerate). So the rooms are just correct, rather clean, there is soap, shampoo. The breakfasts are average, the scrambled eggs were poorly prepared, in other words, someone fried the omelets and then cut them into pieces, which is something else. The bacon was dry as a sole, not to mention the cucumber, which was already tired of life. The only plus is nice service. The location of the hotel is good, next to the bus stop. The only thing that annoyed me in the hotel were the hundreds of corridors, passages, entrances and more. Whoever was there will understand it.

10/05/2025: Really disappointed with my experience at La Gustosa. I went for my 18th birthday and it honestly ruined the night a bit. I asked for water and had to wait ages, even though they were serving others who arrived after me. I also rang a few days before to ask if I could bring my own cake and they never mentioned there would be a charge. Then on the day, they hit us with a €15 fee for it—after already making over €200 from our table. It just felt greedy and sneaky. We all had to pay separately, and a lot of us were using cash. The guy was rude and had an attitude about it, saying "no, it's just not possible" for everyone to get their change. So some of us ended up missing out on money we were owed. And that’s after we had already paid a €27 service charge. The food was okay—nothing special and honestly expensive for what you get. I just got a plain Margherita pizza and the crust was slightly burnt and chewy. Wouldn’t return.

08/04/2025: This review is only reviewing the confectionery that is for sale at this cafe. It is not reviewing the staff, atmosphere or comfort. Everything in the glass counter display is not fresh- it comes from a supplier that freezes the foods to last longer. It may be delivered daily but it is never fresh ! Scones are hard and stogy - not fluffy and fresh like their close competitors. Banana bread , croissants and almond cakes are not fresh and definitely have been frozen. Can the Management not source fresh food & confectionery on a daily basis if they cannot produce it themselves. Very very disappointing indeed !!!

25/05/2025: Went here 24/5/25 around 7 ocklock, a friend reccomended it to us, first off, the servers took ages for drinks, and a while when we asked for the bill, the food was good portion size, but i found that even tho it was big the food wasnt very fresh, it was quite pricey too 100+ euro for a family of 4, no alcahol beverages, we only had starters and mains, bear in mind we payed 80€ for 5 people a couple of weeks ago in a neighbouring restraunt, overall an ok expiernce wouldnt return soon tho

15/05/2025: As a regular customer, I was really disappointed with my recent visit. I ordered an espresso and asked for it to be served in a medium takeaway cup instead of the small one. I was told that it could only be served in the small cup without a lid, and that this was the manager’s rule. I paid €3.40, which is not cheap, and expected a bit more flexibility and better service especially as someone who comes here often. The way it was handled felt dismissive and unwelcoming. I left feeling disappointed and undervalued. I hope the management rethinks policies like this, as they really impact the customer experience.

06/05/2025: OK the food is a bit expensive but I got a massive, delicious quesadilla - definitely worth the price. The staff are very friendly and there’s a few seats outside where people seem to like to chill out for a bit with their coffee. If you’re staying nearby I’d recommend coming here for breakfast before going into town or continuing on to the park.

07/04/2025: One of the worst coffees I've had in Dublin. We wanted to get something refreshing before going into Phoenix Park and I checked this place out on maps, saw some good reviews and decided to go in. We got two vanilla iced americanos and I only managed to finish it because I kept reminding myself I paid 5,50 for it. The lady was pleasant and the toilet was clean ( and the tables outside were very cute under the sun) but the coffee was just bad.

01/05/2025: Nice selection of cakes and buns etc. Good cappuccino and ok value

26/04/2025: Got a coffee and sat outside, had to ask for sugar. Sugar arrived no spoon!!

05/04/2025: I got chicken curry with chips tonight and to be honest the chicken was still pink and the chips was half warm and half cold this is not the first time this has happened to me from this chipper in Finglas west
