The best restaurants in Dublin

18/10/2026: We used to visit your restaurant once a week with our daughters, and it was something we always looked forward to as a family. Sadly, we’ve been disappointed by the recent changes. The playground area has changed, and the “Garden of Gods” dessert, which we really enjoyed, is no longer available. For us, these were part of what made your restaurant special. Unfortunately, we no longer feel as excited about visiting every week as we used to. We’re sharing this feedback because we have lovely memories of our visits and genuinely miss the experience we once enjoyed. We hope you’ll take our comments into consideration.

16/10/2026: Wonderful service and a perfect place for families! ❤️🎂 We visited Elephant to celebrate my friend's birthday, and we had such a lovely experience! We ordered burgers and boneless chicken as a starter. The sauce was delicious, and the burgers were a good size and full of flavour. The drinks were also really nice! But the real highlight of our visit was the amazing service! Our waitress was absolutely wonderful, so friendly, attentive and kind. She really made our experience extra special! Another thing we loved was the play area for children. The kids could play happily nearby while we relaxed and enjoyed my friend's birthday celebration. It made such a difference! A lovely atmosphere, good food and outstanding customer service! We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend Elephant, especially for families and special celebrations! Thank you for making our celebration so special! ❤️🎉.

01/08/2026: Look if you want to experience the best "Spice Bag" its here no where else as is Chicken Chow Mein, oh and of course Honey Ribs. Nothing on the menu will disappoint you. The staff behind the counter are amazing too and the work rate is staggering and the kitchen is so clean. 👌 I dont do photos of my food it wrecks my head when I see people do that so I've added a photo of Trigger without his brush.

27/07/2026: Order: Chicken chop suey, fried noodles, no celery. For €12.50, this was a pretty underwhelming meal. It filled the stomach... just about. Unfortunately, that's the most positive thing I can say. Taste: Very average. Nothing stood out in a good way and it was noticeably over-salted. Not terrible, I've experienced worse, but definitely not something you'd look forward to eating again. Portion: Average. It was just enough to satisfy my hunger, but only barely. Packaging: Disappointing. The food came in two containers inside a plain brown paper bag. No napkins, no fork, no chopsticks. It's a small detail, but it makes the whole experience feel cheap and unfinished. Final thoughts: If you're hungry, you'll eat it. If you're hoping to actually enjoy your meal, you'll probably be disappointed. There are much better Chinese takeaways around for the same money. Would I order from Jumbo Wok again? No.

20/10/2026: Food was fantastic, it was reasonably priced ( actually it was cheap ) it was busy for lunch but the staff were cool out and friendly. The wee ice cream was fabulous. All in all very well done. We'll be back.

13/10/2026: This Camden Street spot is a gem. A €7 meal & dessert for students?? It almost sounds too good to be true but Neon know how to serve great food at an incredible price. To top things off, they let you serve the ice-cream yourself! Lovely staff, great food & an incredible vibe

17/10/2026: Very delicious ramen, ataff was superb nice. Small place but with atmophere for sure.

28/09/2026: Ordered an espresso martini and a margarita at the bar and the bartender rolled his eyes at us. We had to keep our eyes on him to make sure he didn’t spit in our drink. Customer suggestion: If cocktails take too much effort for your establishment then perhaps you should consider taking it off the menu.

19/09/2026: Waited at the bar as the bartender talked people at the bar and continued to do glasses. He then served someone who arrived at the bar after me a pint of Heineken. He told me to wait a moment and continued to do glasses as he told me to continue to wait to order as he put glasses back from the dishwasher. He then left the bar empty with myself and another waiting to order. When he came back he ignored us and continued chatting with the initial group at the bar gathering more glasses to to place back on the bar. On a Friday night at 9 o'clock to not be ready to take orders in a bar is awful to be frank. We waited 5 minutes with no one ordering for no service whatsoever. I don't know what the management is like in this bar to allow this service. It is non existent and as far from what an Irish bar experience should be anywhere in the world never mind on the corner of the capital in temple bar. You are shaming Irish hospitality and an entire industry that the area relys on with this behavior.

06/06/2026: Disappointing food, so overpriced - total ripoff, unfriendly unhelpful staff. Really, give this place a skip.

28/04/2026: Went yesterday for a walk with the family and our dog. We stopped in here for a coffee, which was exceptional. They have water access for dogs and id like to say thanks to the gentlemen who I think was the manager, he came out with ham for the dog. Great services and staff. Definitely recommend:)

12/10/2026: The pub for all seasons .If the weather is poor stay indoors,plenty of telly's to watch sport, plenty of room to talk with friends. If the weather is good there is a great beer garden to rear of premises. No food unfortunately. Staff friendly and helpful.

02/08/2026: Meh. Not very flavoursome food but ok. Donburi unagi (eel): Decent teriyaki style sauce on the eel and the fish was nice but overall it was so bland. Small bit of wakame which was tasteless and then cubes of yellow something which was even more tasteless. Rice was also somehow not good. Fast service, haven’t tried the rest but wouldn’t be rushing back at those prices and lack of flavour.

28/06/2026: I visited this restaurant recently and unfortunately my experience was disappointing. The food arrived cold. The duck dish was not good, although the kimchi was acceptable. I also ordered takoyaki, but I was not confident that the octopus was fresh. For drinks, I specifically requested a cold drink with ice because of the hot weather. However, the drink was served warm and only had a small amount of ice. I don't mind paying extra if additional ice costs more, because I wanted a properly cold drink. Oh yeah, i did request additional ice. The service was also not very friendly. I understand the staff may have been tired because I placed my order around 9pm, close to closing time maybe. However, if the restaurant prefers to stop serving customers earlier, it would be better to clearly communicate that rather than making customers feel unwelcome through facial expressions or attitude. Overall, I did not enjoy my experience and would not return based on this visit.

10/10/2025: I hope you all had a hardcore teambuilding yesterday cause today all bartenders were phased out, almost unpolite (made me feel sorry for bothering them), and it’s friday! Wake up maybe

05/10/2025: Top venue with modern music on 2 Arias. Not the typical Irish music you'd expect from a pub! The music genres you'll often find there include: ​- Techno (often referred to as the "sexy techno bunker") - House - Disco ​- Hip-Hop - Punk

21/06/2026: They have the most inept staff in Dublin and that's saying something. Their iced drinks are tasteless and room temperature. On top of that, I asked the guy behind the counter to wash his hands after changing the garbage before he made my drink and he yelled at me "no!" and got into a verbal altercation about it. Management backed him up. ???

02/06/2026: Perfect for relaxing and enjoying a cup of coffee.

05/10/2026: Love this restaurant/cafe. The food is fab, staff are lovely and it has such a warm atmosphere.

15/10/2026: Amazing selection of food. Full salad counter to make up a rool ir sandwich of your choice. Good value deals for food. Grrat selection of Hot counter food or cream cakes and treats also available

03/10/2026: I visited today. Ordered salmon and all the veg. It was bland, even tasteless. And there was a large bluebottle fly hovering around my table while I was eating. Not what you want to see in an eating establishment. I have visited kays on a couple of occasions before, because it was a convenient meeting spot for friends, but food is not great.

26/07/2026: Bald barman very cranky. Asked me where I was going as I was going back to my pint. Avoid!
