The Square Lucan

16/10/2025: Had Chicken Wings and Chips. Great portion, very tasty. Service was friendly and quick. The only thing that could be improved is the interior design.
Went back to this restaurant a few times and have to say, the quality is consistently good.

14/10/2025: Food is good. Breakfast excels. Surfaces are grimey. Drinking glasses are dirty. I complained about it and the solution was to poor the drink from a dirty glass into a clean one. The music doesn’t set the atmosphere it could be. Hotel rooms are clean but this isn’t he hotel not was 2 years ago.
06/10/2025: David was amazing- was very attentive/ vegetable soup had great flavor and lots of gluten free modifications!

25/08/2025: Had a take out, ordered through just eat.
Had the joe burger and the ranch breast.
The burgers were really good and tasty, the price for the meal deal is very reasonable once u get a drink the burger and fries.
I still ordered more fries and ended having more than I needed.
Just couldn’t reach them to ask to remove the cheese as I’m lactose intolerant, no one ever picked up the phone so I just took my medicine.
I’d definitely order again.

22/09/2025: Had good coffee here a few years ago so thought I’d try while I was back in town. Unfortunately the flat white was weak and watery. Pastry selection seemed quite limited.
Asked for the wifi code (needed to check in for my flight online, not to work!) and the member of staff was pretty snotty about telling me they don’t have wifi. Fair enough to not have it, but don’t act like it’s an unusual or rude question?
Maybe I caught them on a bad day, though it wasn’t busy to be fair.

20/09/2025: I ordered a jiangbing, but it tasted and looked nothing like the authentic jianbing you’d find in China.
14/09/2025: The outdoor seating walls are incredibly unsafe. A bit of wind caused one to fall on me while I was standing there, and now I'm bruised and bleeding. How can something made of metal be so unstable? And to top it off, the staff just laughed and put the wall back up, showing absolutely no concern for anyone around.

29/08/2025: From my own experience the food is nice from the Indian Gate and very tasty, they are not overly expensive with a good meal for one not costing more than €25 including the delivery!
I have no memory of ever having a bad take away from them over the many years that they have been open!
I said to my self that I should give them a well deserved positive feedback after so many years of delicious takeaways!
Today was the chicken Buna with how special rice and garlic nan bread with a bottle of Coca-Cola, it was a delicious Indian curry dinner with my compliments to the chef 😉
14/08/2025: Ordered food to pick up. Sauce in the saag tasted pre heated, gloopy texture and not fresh. Not much flavour apart from some spice. Rice also didn't taste fresh, snd wasn't fluffy, the texture made it seem re-heated. Disappointing as I used to go there when I was younger. Oh well, will have to try another.

05/05/2025: Excellent location.
Impeccable, clean room, with enough towels and daily cleaning.
Coffee/tea replenished every day, muffins, water and juices upon arrival.
We had a room on the top floor, quiet and pleasant. I believe that these are not the most pleasant stairs to climb for those who may have difficulty climbing.

16/10/2025: My son said, "We have to go there to try the Spice Bag ... it's supposed to be great".
When we go there the place was jammed. We ordered at the counter and waited to see it we could get a seat .. seating was a bit chaotic but we eventually got places at a shared table.
When we received out food we were impressed with the amount of it ... there was more than enough and there was a good balance of chips/chicken tough I would have liked more onion.
Overall, it we were very happy with the Spice Bags we received and the price was good too ... €8.95.
15/10/2025: The food is lovely but a staff member called Joseph is SO RUDE & dismissive. We order from here all of the time and have never received such bad treatment which is so unfortunate. A lovely girl (I didn’t get her name) she sounded quite young & Irish I think.. took over my order, she was so pleasant to deal with. Thank God! If it wasn’t for that lovely sweet girl we would have never ordered again! I’m giving a 1 star review based off the service from Joseph as his bad service is the reasoning for me leaving this review.

The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming.
The food was definitely spicy for our Italian taste buds, but their warmth and friendliness made us forget all about it!
Highly recommended
02/10/2025: Always my fav indian place to go to in Dublin. Love their Dosas and the chaat items on their menu. Their staff are very friendly and humble! Ayushi’s service was great :)

30/08/2025: My local pub, always clean, no idiots (except myself!) - indeed the zero tolerance towards freeloaders scrounging tapwater and blocking off seats is something I love. Excellent Guinness plus the locals and staff put up with me! What more could I want...
10/08/2025: The Golden Palace restaurant although looks a bit shabby on entering the food and staff are excellent. Value for money is exceptional. 2 starters and a main course for 23.50. we were heading to the theatre after and had let the staff know the service was super.
Well worth a visit .
