The best restaurants in Dublin

31/05/2026: They should really focus on cleanliness, the tables are not cleaned at all it seems. Only one bathroom was operational. Overall they need to improve the service standards.

28/03/2026: Today, we asked few couple of milk shapes and pink pops for kids...the guy who took deliberately tried to fool and did charged extra items and was reluctant to give the receipts. Starbucks is very famous and got great reputation...they shouldn't allow such stuff... However the drinks and chocolates are too good ...kids loved it..

24/05/2026: Ive had 4 blended lattes this week from here and none had been drinkable. The ice hasn't been blended at all and wont go up the straw

26/12/2025: We arrived at The Port House Cava for our booking at 1pm Christmas Eve. The restaurant was empty except for one table. All the other tables were vacant. The server greeted us and immediately warned us he needed the table back at 3pm. That’s fine. We sat. We waited. The same server was down the back chatting with the kitchen over the pass. We waited a little longer, still no drinks order was coming. I decided to draw some attention to our table by going up to the empty bar. The only occupied table gave me a glance that I read as a comment on the hopeless service as they tried to get the same servers attention. He was still chatting at the pass while the only two tables were both waiting for some attention. Up to the bar he saunters, I ask if we can order some prosecco. We only have Cava he says “they are the same thing”. No there not I reply, but ok let’s have a bottle of cava and if you don’t mind 6 glasses for our table. Back at our table he produces a wine list which would have been handy when we were seated. The cava arrives. It’s barely chilled. I say nothing. Again the same server reminds us that he needs the table back at 3pm. My blood is boiling at this stage as my family as I are made feel like we are an obstruction of sorts. The food arrives and it’s delicious. Well presented. Well cooked and a delight. The first bottle of cava is empty. I’d like to order another but the server is back down at the pass chatting again. To command he attention, again I get up and venture to the bar. Another server has started his shift just before 2pm. He’s more attentive. We order another cava and a bottle of rosé. 2.40pm and the 2nd server starts clearing our table. 2.50pm and they are hovering around our table to let us know it’s almost time to go. The restaurant is still empty except for one other 3top table. The bill arrives and I settle at the bar leaving half the tip I normally would. I ask the server why the hard push on getting the table back while the restaurant is empty. He has no answer. Which points me toward the owner or manager who I know will read this review. So, dear sir or madam, your pockets would be better lined if you spent as much time on encouraging your staff to deliver a good experience rather than a punctual one. You’re employing bus boys, not servers. We’re paying for the experience of which the food is only part. The atmosphere was dead just like the bookings. What’s the different between The Port House Cava and Tapas Del Lola? The staff. The staff. The staff. You’re doing Camden Street no favours with this diabolical customer service. I strongly suggest you consider adding some charm somewhere because you’re just not at the level of some of your good neighbours.

21/05/2026: Understated upscale ambiance, prices that are fancy but not exorbitant, food beautifully presented and expertly cooked (small portions though). Enjoyed my meal here.

10/05/2026: I am very fond of a carvery and have tried plenty of pubs over the years, and I have to say the chef in Ollies lounge nails it every time. I got three selections of meat on a takeaway carvery, stuffed pork belly, roast beef and roast ham, all very thick slices with veg and gravy. I actually Couldn't finish it, the portions are huge and this definitely won't be wasted, there will be a round 2. Five stars from me. The picture doesn't do it justice as its a takeaway, but absolutely delicious and a bargain for €17.50 👌

03/05/2026: Brilliant pub. Staff are fantastic. Was in for the game and had a great experience. The food is tremendous and the Guinness was top class. When back in sandyford I'll definitely be going back here for a meal.

23/03/2026: Tried a few other Romayo's, They're not bad. But for some reason, If I have time, I'll go there first. :)

19/03/2026: Yet again I asked for a bag of their. "Freshly made chips" and got a bag of deep fried mush (again!!) . They aren't capable of producing properly cooked chips so hold onto your money or go to San Marino down the road and see what real chips are supposed to be.

10/05/2026: The food was very good and the staff were friendly. The garlic butter fries were delicious and crispy. I really enjoyed it.

06/05/2026: Probably the most filthy establishment I've ever been in. Disgusting. Staff always look unkempt and greasy looking.. The whole place is covered in a layer of grime boardered by a triming of caked on filth. Gross. Disgusting. Putrid. Gordan Ramsy would have a full on rage induced panic attack of a nervous breakdown it's so filthy. Wow is it a pig sty.

25/11/2025: I was here few times: always as drop in when hectic traffic- to wait for better way- with my grandson. Such warm atmosphere, smiling and friendly staff - I am very happy here when spending few hours.. and.. a beef! .. just melting in the mouth.. quiet music…. What else one would dream when outside windy and traffic jam for hours? BIG THANK YOU!!!

23/11/2025: Good hotel. Very friendly staff (in Ireland, so what do you expect), good room size, quiet, and good location if you are visiting Park West. Quite a distance from the centre of Dublin, although there is a bus that is inexpensive.

12/04/2025: Best bar I've ever been to. Pool table, excellent service, and amazing pizza (perfect NY style pizza). I've been at Harlaxton for 3 months, and it's the best pub I've had while I've been here. I highly recommend it.

29/06/2026: Stopped here for something to eat and bought the door stopper sandwich, it was toasted and by the time it got to my table it was wet from the heat of the toaster. Didn't taste great either. I managed to eat a bit but was disappointed.

11/06/2026: Had a breakfast there was looking forward to it. Place look Great breakfast came out the sausages very cheap Absolutely terrible for the price they charge for the breakfast. They should be giving you good qualities, sausages, absolutely terrible hopefully, they’ll get it right otherwise, they won’t be getting a return visit from me

29/03/2026: This place has just progressively gotten worse. I ordered a chicken kebab, although many might like a breaded Lidl burger chopped up on a pitta, with iceberg lettuce and a tiny bit of sauce, I can say I didn't care for it at all. No red cabbage no onions. Hardly a kebab. Garlic cheese chips. Had a good amount of sauce on it but easy to do when there is only 15 chips in the foil tray. How you managed to serve it cold is a talent, I live beside macaris and It was like it had been in the fridge. Horrible, went in the bin. Better places to go in the mun in all fairness.

04/02/2026: The delivery lady is a diamond 💎. Food always there to Santry Cross to my wife and I in 'no time at all'. Compared to all chipper and take outs in the area - there is no comparison. All the people are always helpful and the place is spotless . My first job was in a Abra-Kebara so I know ,"clean and well run take-outs and restaurants", when I see them.

01/06/2026: We really enjoyed the tasty coffee. Despite that, I would not recommend this place due to the poor value for money. I fell for the beautiful pastries, but unfortunately, these were a huge disappointment. The chocolate croissant (€4!) was clearly not fresh, and the cinnamon bun was beautiful but tasteless. It's a shame about the disappointing experience; hopefully, this was just an isolated incident.

03/05/2026: The cinnamon bun looks impressive on the display counter - huge and giving the eat me vibe However it’s really more like a bread coated with sugar and some cinnamon.

11/06/2026: Excellent breakfast prepared fresh in front of you, and Teresa, the owner, is a lovely person.

10/05/2026: Delicious food and great experience for our first real restaurant in Dublin. The staff was wonderfully nice, welcoming, and accomodating of our level of english. 100% recommend !
