The best restaurants in Dublin

28/05/2025: First time in this Dunnes location. It looked nice. Car park was a bit awkward to get into due to entrance/ exit of cars. Inside the store was nicely laid out and spacious to be able to look around without taking up an aisle. The two women on the checkouts when I was there were so helpful.

28/04/2025: I've just about had enough of this place! The prices might be alright, but the management of the store is just plain sloppy. It's infuriating how often the beef shelves are empty. And can you believe, they're frequently out of filet? It's not rocket science to keep a grocery store stocked! Honestly, I can't be bothered with this hassle anymore. I'd much rather make the extra drive to the Dunnes Store in Cabinteely. At least there, they understand the concept of inventory! Update 3/10/23: It seems like the management doesn't take the reviews on this platform seriously, which is disappointing. However, I must say that my experiences during my last two visits met my expectations. Updated the stars to 3/5 Update 28 April 2025: Dunnes decided to increase many prices especially for meat. Don't educate me about the current crisis all over the world, they are ONLY increasing their profits, nothing to do with the crises. I'm done with DUNNES

09/06/2025: Charming little gem in Dublin! Cozy vibes, friendly staff, and perfectly brewed coffee. Their pastries are delightful, and the latte art is a sweet touch. A lovely spot to relax or catch up with friends. Definitely a must-visit for coffee lovers seeking a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

28/06/2025: We ate one Saturday evening. The place was busy enough, but we got a table for 2 with no reservation. Place looks nice and has a good atmosphere, a mixture of couples and groups dining, not too noisy. Staff were nice, the service was good. The food was good. Starters were delicious, and Aloo special chat and prawns were delicious. The main courses were good, Palak was tasty. Non alcoholic drinks, they have mock tails and Edringer alcohol free, which was quite pricey for a 330ml bottle of zero beer. Overall, the meal was good but was quite pricey at 120e for 2 with 3 drinks.

28/05/2025: Had previously left a glowing review after coming here for years. Unfortunately a recent takeaway experience really let us down. Prawn curry was watery with about 3 prawns and no veg, staff were very unapologetic when we rang. All they had to do was acknowledge and offer to make it right, now we won't be back. Real shame.

27/04/2025: Ive tried this place a couple of times waiting for the magic to happen but it just never came, it flatters to deceive for me.

20/04/2025: Edit: A year after my first review I see things didn't change. New employees but the same attitude of being more focused in socialising between one another and laughing loudly, than serving. We had finished our meal and the dishes were there, being annoying at the table when we wanted to use it for something else. A server would come and go close to us, but was avoiding eye contact and never asked to take the dirty plates. A different server came after a while and took them without us having to ask. There was a third server, the one that took our orders and brought the food, but he never came even near us after serving the food. Also, in this place you are asked if you want a coffee as soon as you sit. For lunch we prefer the coffee after the meal, but since no server approached us for a long time after we finished eating, we gave up. By the time the only good server approached us we were annoyed and didn't want to give this place more of our money. I think we're not considering this place anymore for Sunday lunch, since apparently the staff can't be arsed to work on that day... Original review: I have been to this café several times, I like this place, the food is a bit pricey and I wish they had more vegetarian options, but the flavours are great. The service is normally good, sometimes even great. Today, though, the waitress we had at first was more focused on socialising with her coworkers than on taking our order, or the one beside us. Later on, she and other staff members apparently were taking a break sitting at a table, they were very loud, talking and laughing in an obnoxious manner. Not really the type of atmosphere you would prefer in a café. When we paid, again another member of staff seemed more interested in socialising with coworkers than to greet us good bye. It left a weird taste, not very customer oriented day, I guess.

06/07/2025: Good location, but honestly nothing more. The atmosphere is average, the prices are higher than elsewhere.

06/07/2025: I always used to like this place so I suggested to an important friend to go there And I had a dreadful time due to bouncer thinking I was drunk when I was just feeling low due to a death in the family and chuck me out of the bar. 25/06/2025: The dirtiest place on earth, this another of the many store I have visited and man is dirty this one had a smell like a dirty toilet. Coffee was so hot that I had to wait 20 minutes before starting to drink … no buono no no! This not up to the civil standard
