03/01/2026: Michaela looked after us Booked a table for 7, service charge added We went with the Early Bird 3 Course Meal €30.95 Decent choices, good value I went with the Spicy Chicken Wing Starter, Satay Chicken Curry 1/2 & 1/2 with the Malteeser Cheesecake option Our only hiccup was the dessert, one of our guests has an allergy to strawberry and was given strawberry. This was rectified and an alternative provided. Please make sure to cater for all, if some mentions an allergy then write down allergy. If you need the chef to come out to the table, then get the chef! Other than that, friendly courteous staff and thank you to Michaela for an enjoyable night.

11/01/2026: I needed a quick lunch between calls, and popped into the Abbey Street Boojum. I went for the vegan pork, beans, spicy rice, sweet corn and guacamole, with three different salsas, and had a well stacked tub to munch into. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and I especially want to highlight this. (Tuesday team, thanks!). For 12 Euro, you can't go wrong.

08/01/2026: Very frustrating experience in boojum on abbey street today. I order my burrito and everything was going fine. I got to the register and wanted to pay with cash only to be refused. I questioned the girl and asked why she wouldn’t take legal tender. She responded by saying she was sorry and that they only take card payments.I didn’t have any card to pay with. I was shocked to say the least. Really annoying and waste of my time. I should have been notified or there should have been big signs to state they only take card payments. However I believe everywhere should take cash.

01/12/2025: Service was slow. Had ceaser salad and was very plain mostly lettuce leaves. Decor could do with freshing up.

31/01/2026: I had very high hopes. It was disappointing. The pasta nothing unusual. The bolognese came in a clump and were somewhere warm. The carbonara was ok. The place had a specific smell, and not a pleasant one.

23/01/2026: Regarding the service: The welcome was pleasant and quick. The ordering process was explained to us, and the waiter was very kind. The food: We ordered two dishes (Beef Cheek Tagliatelle and Garlic Prawns & Chilli). They were delivered on time. The beef cheek had very good meat, but the pasta needed more cooking time as it was slightly undercooked. The Garlic Prawns pasta was somewhat oily and only had four prawns. Overall, the dishes were reasonable in terms of price and portion size. We also ordered a dessert (tiramisu), which was very good—well balanced and fresh. 4/5 Atmosphere of the place: The place looks clean, with pleasant music, but it lacks character—everything is black, simple, and minimalist. 2/5

01/11/2025: All was delicious! Packed with veg and meat always great to have a macro friendly restaurant to order from if you are someone after fat loss all the macros are readily available. Loved the pad Thai and sweet chilli chicken. Also the chicken gyozas were sooo delicious and packed with flavour!

18/02/2026: The best place to get desserts at all time ! Love their pasta and also their cakes . The only place you can get good desserts during night time in Dublin . Absolutely love it . Best tiramisu in Dublin and also the only place you can get baked tiramisu . Will change their menu every few months . So worth to go back and try them out .

18/02/2026: I ordered the carbonara, but it tasted like pure salt and was too salty to eat. The young female staff member near the upstairs door was just standing there and seemed a bit unfriendly.

10/12/2025: A really good value-for-money spot. Even though the prices have increased in recent years it's still only €9 for a full carton. I got the chicken lemongrass and it was great value for money. If you want calories per euro this is the place to go.

28/10/2025: Authentic, friendly and a last bastion of affordable street food

21/02/2026: We spontaneously decided to eat at The Dog House Blue's Tea Room, and unfortunately, the visit was very disappointing overall. The restaurant was practically empty except for one other table, yet we still had to wait over an hour for our food. Realistically, we could have cooked at home in that time. This was especially baffling because there was absolutely no stress or activity. The service was unfortunately very poor. There was only one server on duty, which wouldn't normally be a problem—but even with the restaurant empty, tables weren't cleared, and we weren't asked once if we needed anything or if everything was alright. In addition, the server dropped a cup; the broken pieces lay there for over an hour. This not only seemed unprofessional but also simply unhygienic. The food itself was mostly okay—not bad, but certainly nothing special. However, for the prices charged, the quality was outrageous. The price-performance ratio is completely off. At these prices, one expects significantly more than average food and minimal service. In the end, we paid €130 for four people. The price was okay, but the food simply wasn't worth it. The ambiance is indeed very cute and cozy, and it makes a good first impression. Unfortunately, a nice interior isn't enough if the food and service can't keep up. It can't be a fine-dining restaurant like this. Overall, it seems like a place with potential, but currently, it doesn't live up to its own prices, either in terms of organization or quality. We unfortunately wouldn't be coming back.

31/01/2026: Very disappointing experience. We ordered the seafood chowder, and it was nothing like what you’d expect from a restaurant by the sea. The soup wasn’t fresh at all. The top was dried out, clearly microwaved, with barely any seafood in it, and the bits that were there were hard to even identify. The Shepherd’s pie wasn’t any better. The mince was dry around the edges, again showing all the signs of being reheated rather than freshly prepared. When we shared our feedback about the chowder, the staff didn’t take any real action. They weren’t particularly helpful, and no one checked in on us at any point during the meal to see if things were okay. To make things worse, the place was freezing cold, which made the whole experience even more uncomfortable. Overall, not a great visit. Poor food quality and service that lacked professionalism. Definitely not somewhere I’d return to.

05/01/2026: Very disappointing experience👎. I placed an order via Uber Eats at 3:07am, well before the 4am closing time, but the food never arrived (the order seemed to be accepted by the restaurant). By 4:40am there was still no update. When I called the store, staff were rude. First, they said there was no such order, then later claimed their Uber Eats system wasn’t working. Because Domino’s uses their own drivers, Uber Eats didn’t give me an order update nor did it allow me to cancel the order myself. After reading other reviews, this seems to be a recurring issue. If the system isn’t working, delivery should not be left open. Completely wasted time and energy, especially late at night while waiting to take medication.

18/08/2025: I went to the place to order takeaway and the guy who was serving was totally impatient, it seemed like I was asking for a favor instead of shopping... In addition, the chicken wrap was quite small and tasteless... not worth the price... I wouldn't go back.

16/07/2025: I frequently visit to have an amazing Flat White and one of the best breakfasts you can get. Staff are ALWAYS FRIENDLY and can nit do enough for you. highly recommended 👌

16/08/2025: Dumplings were rubbish, chewy slimy casing and very expensive for what they are. Never had dumplings as bad as this. Rest of the food was like that of a poor takeaway, but just a lot more expensive. Don’t make the mistake we did and go somewhere else instead.

14/08/2025: Al mirar el menú se veía impresionante. Pedí nuestra comida. Estaba deseando gambas agridulces. Las gambas no eran comestibles. La sopa Tom Yum no tiene absolutamente ningún sabor. El personal no está capacitado para estar atento. Pero me sentí mal por ellos ya que una chica no parecía entendernos. Malgasto de dinero.
