The best restaurants in Dublin

02/06/2026: The Bar With No Name is a great spot for cocktails and has a unique atmosphere. It feels like a large, laid-back speakeasy with plenty of character and a fun crowd. I had a gin-based cocktail that reminded me of a Gin Sour, along with a Neck Oil beer, and both were excellent. The cocktails were well balanced and the drinks menu offered plenty of variety. It's the kind of place that works equally well for a date night or an evening out with friends. The only downside was the wait for drinks. Even on a Thursday night, service at the bar was quite slow, and it took a long time for cocktails to arrive. If you're visiting with a larger group, be prepared to be flexible. There are couches and larger tables available, but the venue is clearly popular, and finding a place to sit or even stand together can be challenging once it gets busy. Overall, a stylish and lively cocktail bar with great drinks, a relaxed vibe, and a cool speakeasy feel. Just arrive early if you're hoping to secure a good spot.

24/07/2026: RACSIT BOUNCERS Going to see the France-Norway world cup match with 1 friend (white Irish). It is broad daylight 7:45pm and we have not drunk. Racist bouncers: many white people (groups of men too) go inside past the bouncers without being asked anything. Comes my turn, the bouncers immediately change demeanour and square up to block me. One of the 2, Eastern European accent, asks me very aggressively out of the blue "Where are you from bro?". I answer France, the other bouncer seems not to believe me because of my race and asks to see my ID which he checks for a long time with a sarcastic face. Meanwhile, about 5 white guys go in and they just take a quick look at them and say nothing. After having reviewed my ID, the bouncer asks nothing of my white Irish friend and makes a half-hearted gesture without a word to say we can go in. Another white Irish friend who came in later on his own confirmed he was not asked anything by the doormen. Will never go back to this establishment, such open and unashamed racism is unacceptable in 2026 in Europe.

08/08/2026: Went to the pub and they immediately kicked us out. Wasn’t even drunk. awesome. Hate the male waiter with the dyed black hair

03/08/2026: Peters pub was one of my favourite pubs in Dublin. No tv playing , no music, just people have a nice time chatting to each other in a really friendly athmos. It has changed hands recently and now we have to compete with continuous tv playing even though nobody is watching. Then there the boring back ground music, i also noticed there was not many locals present.

16/07/2026: Had a nice Cajun chicken wrap delicious with a nice cappuccino.

24/09/2025: I go there with my dog and partner a lot to support the local business, and some days we even go for both breakfast and lunch and we always leave tips on the card machine. This time they didn’t have the sandwich I wanted and I only ordered a take away so I skipped the tips for the first time. And you can see the complete 180 degree of attitude switched that the 2 girls had there. It was very bad vibe and energy when I left. The people there used to be cool, not like this.

10/08/2025: Brunch was absolutely lovely! I had an açai bowl which was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented, plus a hot chocolate that was really good. Great spot for a relaxed weekend treat!

22/04/2026: A small, 3-star hotel in an excellent location. It has been renovated and offers reasonable rates. Bus, tram, and train stops are just steps away. Temple Bar is about a 15-minute walk. The room was fine, clean, and the staff was very attentive, bilingual, and helpful. They provide a kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, sweetener, and biscuits, which are replenished as needed. The bathroom has soap, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. The towels are good quality. There's a hairdryer, a small but functional wardrobe, and a safe. The only downside is that the bus station is directly across the street, and you can sometimes hear noise. It might also give the impression of being a somewhat unsafe area because there's a homeless shelter nearby; people wander around but don't bother anyone. To get to and from the airport, you can use the Dublin Express, the Xpress, or bus 41, all of which stop a short walk from the hotel.

29/07/2026: Surge coffee is a must once a week AT LEAST. It's got this charm and nice vibes. Good coffee quality and the service is always the kindest.

28/07/2026: Coffees are quite expensive - 5€. You also can’t get them in a mug due to broken dishwasher. Views are brilliant though.

23/06/2026: This morning, I went to Costa to grab an iced mango matcha and cookies for my child. I told the barista which cookies I wanted, but she gave me a strange look, as if she didn't understand what I was saying. I showed her, and she gave them to me. It was my first time trying an iced mango matcha from Costa, and it was undrinkable. It tasted like powder. It was terrible, and I threw it in the bin.

20/05/2026: Very bad, waiting to use the toilet 🚽, toilet locked, no sign of out of order, after 10 minutes of waiting, knocking on the door no sign of anyone there, a staff told me first that it was open and then when I said it was locked and he said oh it's in very bad condition so make up whatever that means, I don't know!

30/06/2026: A medicore coffee that wasn’t to our taste. The coffee flavour was just too heavily roasted, actually a bit bitter. Manager was rude too. Not a great experience, I no longer go there. Prefer two fifty square

06/06/2026: Usually love it and I want to give it a 5 but it was very understaffed today and several people's coffee orders came before me even though I ordered before them.

05/04/2026: IdleWild is one of those cosy Dublin spots that gets it right: moody lighting, stylish interiors, solid pints and simple comfort food. The pint + toastie deal for just €8 was definitely a highlight and great value for money.

30/03/2026: Great little bar, especially worth a visit for the pint and toastie deal, as it only costs 8 euros per person. Ham & Cheese and Chicken are the choices. The Guinness was also prepared with great care 😊

25/07/2026: Young boy I think his name was Justin, was very rude to me and my friends, would not recommend 1 star for service

17/05/2026: This has to be the most professionaly run bar I have been in a long time. I was there with family on a very busy day and the management and especially the floor staff guys were so patient and helpful to any wishes on the day. If you want to experience a bar of this caliber then go to the Wishing Well. You won't regret it 👋
