The best restaurants in Dublin

02/03/2026: Just got a battered burger there really nice! And the guy threw in a few chips thanks!

05/05/2026: Had a good stay at the Address Connolly. The hotel itself if beautiful, love the art as you walk to the elevators. It’s in a good location, about 20 minute walk from the Temple area - however it does not always feel very safe walking home late at night. Ubers are quite expensive €20-30 so may want to be nearer the Temple area if this is what you want to do most. Our room had a lovely large bed, the shower was amazing and boiling hot, and there was someone on service at all times. Our negatives from our stay were that our room (565) had a very strong odour of cigarettes, this started on our second night, seemed as if someone nearby was smoking. The train station nearby is also very loud during the day, and you could hear people in the hallways and nearby rooms. We had to wait a long time for any lifts to get to and from our room, at one point we waited 15 minutes before giving up! Some parts of the room looked as if they could have done with a deep clean, but the day cleaners did a good job. Overall we had a good stay, and the hotel was mostly just a place to stay. Would reccomend visiting the Silver Penny - Wetherspoons nearby for a cheap drink, Dublin zoo, yellow jelly for brunch, and the whole Temple bar area.

04/05/2026: We stayed here for one night over the bank holiday and can’t fault our time here, the reception is beautiful and we were greeted by very friendly reception staff, we booked the King Club Room and it did not disappoint! Really spacious and the view was incredible. Cleanliness 10/10 and the added bonus of the club lounge to sit out in the sun was the icing on the cake for us. We will definitely be back!

02/07/2026: Lovely place, service was really nice. The presentation of the orders were phenomenal. I think this is the prettiest bowl I’ve ever received. The person at the counter with the hat was also very friendly towards me. Taste of the coffee was very nice. Overall my go to spot for when I’m in Ireland

11/06/2026: They offer free coffee compost, which I think is a great idea. However, the Biscoff croissant was very dry and hard to chew. The staff did not smile, and when I asked for the toilet code three times, I received no response. Another customer had to ask the staff member to respond to me.

27/06/2026: Spring rolls were nice but the beef was rubbery and cheap. Disappointing.

02/06/2026: I had the burger and the beef and potato stew cooked in beer. The sandwich was nothing special, but the braised beef was really good. The prices were a little high for Italians, but among the lowest I've found in Dublin. The beer and the main course were about €30.

26/12/2025: We arrived at The Port House Cava for our booking at 1pm Christmas Eve. The restaurant was empty except for one table. All the other tables were vacant. The server greeted us and immediately warned us he needed the table back at 3pm. That’s fine. We sat. We waited. The same server was down the back chatting with the kitchen over the pass. We waited a little longer, still no drinks order was coming. I decided to draw some attention to our table by going up to the empty bar. The only occupied table gave me a glance that I read as a comment on the hopeless service as they tried to get the same servers attention. He was still chatting at the pass while the only two tables were both waiting for some attention. Up to the bar he saunters, I ask if we can order some prosecco. We only have Cava he says “they are the same thing”. No there not I reply, but ok let’s have a bottle of cava and if you don’t mind 6 glasses for our table. Back at our table he produces a wine list which would have been handy when we were seated. The cava arrives. It’s barely chilled. I say nothing. Again the same server reminds us that he needs the table back at 3pm. My blood is boiling at this stage as my family as I are made feel like we are an obstruction of sorts. The food arrives and it’s delicious. Well presented. Well cooked and a delight. The first bottle of cava is empty. I’d like to order another but the server is back down at the pass chatting again. To command he attention, again I get up and venture to the bar. Another server has started his shift just before 2pm. He’s more attentive. We order another cava and a bottle of rosé. 2.40pm and the 2nd server starts clearing our table. 2.50pm and they are hovering around our table to let us know it’s almost time to go. The restaurant is still empty except for one other 3top table. The bill arrives and I settle at the bar leaving half the tip I normally would. I ask the server why the hard push on getting the table back while the restaurant is empty. He has no answer. Which points me toward the owner or manager who I know will read this review. So, dear sir or madam, your pockets would be better lined if you spent as much time on encouraging your staff to deliver a good experience rather than a punctual one. You’re employing bus boys, not servers. We’re paying for the experience of which the food is only part. The atmosphere was dead just like the bookings. What’s the different between The Port House Cava and Tapas Del Lola? The staff. The staff. The staff. You’re doing Camden Street no favours with this diabolical customer service. I strongly suggest you consider adding some charm somewhere because you’re just not at the level of some of your good neighbours.

23/12/2025: Amazing place. Prices too high.

29/06/2026: Stopped here for something to eat and bought the door stopper sandwich, it was toasted and by the time it got to my table it was wet from the heat of the toaster. Didn't taste great either. I managed to eat a bit but was disappointed.

11/06/2026: Had a breakfast there was looking forward to it. Place look Great breakfast came out the sausages very cheap Absolutely terrible for the price they charge for the breakfast. They should be giving you good qualities, sausages, absolutely terrible hopefully, they’ll get it right otherwise, they won’t be getting a return visit from me

21/06/2026: The woman camille who works here is terrible at her job. Very abrupt with customers, not friendly at all. Naming her on this occasion as she let her colleague clear up my issue and left the work for her.

11/07/2026: Sticky floors, wall-to-wall match day programmes, tourists should visit on any GAA match day in Croke Park just to sample the atmosphere. Rival supporters standing shoulder to shoulder chatting, laughing and the occasional slagging. Nowhere else in the world does this happen. Go see it for yourself.

24/05/2026: Unfortunately the price is high compared with other tea rooms in Dublin (and is not published anywhere online). 65 EUR per peson and you don't have unlimited savory pastries or scones. Westbury is nicer, cheaper and unlimited. Food, tea and service were very nice though.

03/05/2026: Friendly and kind, though a little slow, service. For a hotel bar the food options, while very tasty, were few and far between.

13/07/2026: Came for dinner. Kids got the cheese pizza and chicken with fries. I got the seafood chowder for a starter and it was delicious and had nice large chucks of seafood in it. My wife and I shared the butter chicken was great. The sauce they used was really good and our daughter used it to dip her chicken in it because she liked it so much.

16/06/2026: We had a very good seafood chowder, would definitely recommend! The coffee was pretty bad and from an automatic coffee machine; very disappointing when considering the price point of 6.10 Euro for a simple cappuccino. Definitely don’t get a coffee here.

07/01/2026: It was a celebration for family and friends, The staff were excellent,the party food was fresh and it just kept on coming.The beer was first class and no hanging around.All in all they really did our family proud.Many thanks
