The best restaurants in Dublin

07/09/2026: Sometimes they are great and some other times like today they forget they serve real people. Today the waitress, on a cold rainy day, refused I go to the toilet because she was closing 5min later. But they were still open with 10 more clients inside. Won't go again, staff should treat people like people.

12/05/2026: This is an amazing place to stay in Dublin. The hotel is spotless, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff are truly wonderful. We especially loved Silvia — she is hardworking, attentive, and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay.

01/05/2026: The hotel is lovely, I recommend it. The rooms are comfortable, and in the lobby you can have tea or a glass of water before going to sleep. It has a pleasant atmosphere and a good breakfast.

05/07/2026: ⭐☆☆☆☆ Completely unacceptable for a €500-per-night “4-star” hotel— I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at The Spencer Hotel was genuinely shocking. We paid approximately €500 per night, expecting the level of service associated with a reputable 4-star hotel. Instead, we returned to find a room that had effectively not been serviced at all. The breakfast trays and dirty dishes from the morning were still sitting in the room, rubbish remained on the desk and tables, the bed hadn’t been made properly, the pillows and bed linen had not been changed, and the room had clearly not been vacuumed. What made the situation even worse was the The receptionist asked what exactly needed to be done, as though this wasn’t standard housekeeping. Shortly afterwards, reception approached my daughter-in-law and again asked what we expected them to do. That question alone speaks volumes. At €500 a night, guests should not have to explain that a room should be cleaned, beds made, used dishes removed, bins emptied and the room vacuumed. These are not “special requests.” They are the absolute basics of hotel housekeeping. The lack of accountability and the dismissive attitude were more disappointing than the poor cleaning itself. Instead of apologising and immediately correcting the issue, we were made to feel as though we had to justify expecting the service we had already paid for. An hour later, I had to move myself all the dirty plates outside, nothing done from their end as our complain did not count. The attached photos speak for themselves. Charging premium prices creates premium expectations. Unfortunately, The Spencer Hotel failed to deliver even the basic standards expected from a much cheaper hotel. I sincerely hope management reviews both their housekeeping standards and, more importantly, how staff handle customer complaints. At this price point, this experience was simply unacceptable.

07/06/2026: Fantastic hotel, which made a trip to Dublin extremely enjoyable. Staff, food, rooms and drink are all great. Airport Bus stop right outside the hotel makes it even more convenient. Really recommend and would stay here again.

05/06/2026: I fricking love this place dude it is the best coffee shop ever! They also do sweet treat snacks 😉and the staff are immaculate and so welcoming and amazing manners!

04/06/2026: Great coffee. Cakes/pastries are a little overpriced. Coconut matcha with vanilla syrup priced at over €6.

04/10/2026: I ordered from this restaurant online. Food arrived 2 hours later. I had phoned restaurant asking where my food was. First phone call was told on the way, 10 min later second phone call told no such order. While on phone, my order arrived but food missing. I then asked for refund. Was told return all food back to restaurant to receive refund. We refused as it was 9.30 at night and very hungry. Simply asked about getting return for missing item but restaurant refused. Won't be ordering from them again. Disappointed customer.

02/10/2026: Has gone so downhill it's sad, dish tasted of water. Service for a easy take away took 30 minutes. Staff hadn't a clue what they where doing when people showed up for collection. Restaurant was pretty much empty as well so can't blame being busy. Sad to see it has got this bad

10/10/2026: Disgraceful service, ordered take away sandwich, boy in a wheelchair at the door, 30 mins later still nothing, people who ordered after me served.. got my money back and left - never again

16/06/2026: Met a friend for coffee. Very welcoming staff and beautiful decor. The view is fantastic and there are seats outside overlooking the sea

14/06/2026: Not family friendly. Arrived for a drink in the beer garden and were told our kids (all over ten) were not welcome as they had kids in at the moment that weren’t behaving. From looking into the garden we could see kids sitting on the grass playing pat a cake… far from the ‘ballistic’ scenes described by the bald bouncer. He told us the owner was watching and doesn’t like kids. Go to the royal marine for a drink in the sun, so much nicer!

30/09/2026: As someone new to the country and not acquaintance with the local cuisine, didn't feel welcomed here. Ordered a Halloumi salad, since I was tasting Halloumi the first time I enquired about what it's made of, the staff got pissed and was rude in responding.

07/09/2026: The girl that was serving me was so nice, and so patient as I made the big decision of which delicious doughnut to try, and she was so knowledgable about the products, Thank you 🙏🏻🤩

06/09/2026: ⭐️ 1 star — Absolutely disgusting. There were flies everywhere around the donuts, constantly landing on the food. It was honestly disgusting to see and completely unacceptable for a place selling food. I pointed it out to the two girls working there. They looked at me, said “okay,” and… that was it. Nothing was cleaned, the donuts weren’t covered or removed, and nobody seemed to care. I stayed in the store for another 10 minutes and watched absolutely nothing being done. Apparently, having flies all over the food is not considered a problem here. 🤦‍♀️ I definitely do NOT recommend this place. If you care about hygiene and food safety, I would seriously go somewhere else.

I usually get the "Big burrito", it's €16 and it's not THAT big, I've often felt like I could eat 2 of them and not be phased. Today was the day, I ate 2 back to back and wasn't full.

18/05/2026: Went there for lunch and was delighted! The man Josh is the absolute legend! He is very professional, quick and accurate, that was the best burrito of my life. His service was amazing, my cheeks were sore after laughing all through the process, I have never met such a positive and responsible person, top quality!
