The best restaurants in Dublin

09/08/2025: Unreal! Best I’ve had outside Greece! The ingredients, including the tzatziki and feta are on point. The potion size is huge too and I found having a side redundant.

06/08/2025: ⭐☆☆☆☆ Easily the worst food and atmosphere I’ve ever encountered. I arrived not knowing what to expect, but I never imagined it would be this bad. The place has an odd industrial vibe and was completely deserted at 1:30 PM on a Wednesday — no staff, no customers, just an eerie silence that honestly killed any appetite I had. It felt more like walking into an abandoned warehouse than a restaurant. We used the self-service machine (since there was no one around) and tried ordering two gyros. The pricing was bizarre. The base price was listed as €10.20, but then you had to manually add meat for an extra €0.50 — excuse me? What exactly is a gyro without meat? That setup is confusing at best and misleading at worst. After ordering, we waited. And waited. Still no staff in sight, no kitchen noise, no clue if our food was even being prepared. About 10 minutes in, we rang the bell on the counter (alongside a bizarre cluster of other restaurant bells). A couple of minutes later, a hipster-looking guy in a Hawaiian shirt literally rolled up on an electric scooter to hand us the food — no joke, it felt like a sketch from a comedy show. The food itself? Disappointing. The gyros were tiny, barely warm, with very little meat, and didn’t taste fresh at all. For over €10, this felt like a total rip-off. As someone who’s been to Greece multiple times, this barely passes as a sample, let alone a proper gyro. A real Greek would probably cry if they tasted this. Avoid.

16/08/2025: Sadly, I have to add to the bad reviews as there must have been a change of ownership at Daddy's? Or maybe it's lack of basic staff training? Ordered two sit in americanos only to get two watery drinks in take away cups, with badly pulled shots and plenty of coffee grounds in the bottom. I used to work in speciality coffee, so can spot a carelessly made coffee from miles away. The staff were pretty unwelcoming also. I won't be back!

14/07/2025: Sorry to say I have to add to the bad reviews as of late. Daddy’s used to be known for its phenomenal food and in theory the dishes are amazing. However the standard is extremely low now especially for the price you pay. On the last occasion I visited I was heavily pregnant. I got the full fry, and everything on it except the toast was disastrous. The sausage was pale, the pudding was undercooked and lukewarm and flavour was on the turn, mushroom was soggy, egg undercooked, and the bacon was hard. I would be embarrassed as kitchen staff to send that out. As for the service, we were waiting ages to be seated, ages for order to be taken, ages for food to arrive and no follow up for us to order more coffee etc. The place was dead so no excuse and plenty of staff on the floor. I used to work in the food industry and know that bad reviews can be terrible for a place but given the previous high standard I just hope owners will make some changes to get it back to what it was. As for now I won’t be back and it genuinely makes me sad! 2 stars given for the creative menu but otherwise, 1 star from me

27/08/2025: Decent food and nice place to meet folks in the shopping center area , how ever the service needs to improve greatly, I waited for staff to come over to take an order for 20 minutes with no sign, had to get up and go to the bar where I wait another 10 minutes before they came from the back. This is at 3pm on weekday afternoon.

18/07/2025: Food was good , service was average , food price was fair , but €6.80 for a lime & soda plus the that order was forgotten didn’t impress us

16/08/2025: High quality chipper. I don't usually get much take away but feel less guilty because the quality and taste is always amazing here.

10/05/2025: I ordered a home made Tuna sandwich and it tasted great. The price is fine. It was not toasted when first time serviced. But it was toasted well when I requested. The seats are enough with great space.

28/08/2025: Found this place while looking for a bargain. Great chicken fried rice with lots of veg and a good level of spice (though some might find it too spicy). Friendly guy working at the counter and limited seating, only 2 seats. More of a takeaway kind of restaurant. I was impressed by the value, as this is a lot of good food for for only 9€! I’ll be coming back next time I’m in Dublin.

19/07/2025: Libero permanece como un gran astillador pasado de moda. Parece que muchos astilladores están apuntando a una estrella Michelin y perdieron su identidad. No Libero’s - todavía excelente!

25/04/2025: He comido de astilladoras por toda Irlanda y más allá. Mis hijos ordenan comida para llevar de Liberos y muchos otros puntos de venta. Todos estamos de acuerdo en que las fichas de Liberos son consistentemente las mejores que existen.

15/10/2024: Really nice brunch here, food came quickly and was super filling. I was surprised that they only had filter coffee but it was also quite tasty so no issues. Prices do let them down as I was really shocked to be charged €4 for each small cup of black coffee, that is more than you would pay for a cappuccino or latte in some places. I would still come back to try something else as the food was really good! But the price of the coffee left a sour taste in my mouth, €4 for a tiny cup of black coffee was a surprise and not nice to feel you have been ripped off.

02/04/2025: Great neighborhood pub. Food was tasty, staff were friendly and nothing was a problem.

01/04/2025: Sadly, closed its doors for the last time on the 31st of March 2025. Will be demolished from the 13th of April. Hopefully a pub will return to the iconic location in the summer of 2027 🙏

09/06/2025: As an Indian settled in Ireland and having missed the fragrance of Biryani, this place fulfills it all...one of the most delicious cChicken biryani and Chicken curry , would get you addicted!

25/05/2025: The garlic cheese chips with bacon are the best I’ve ever had. Fully recommend selecting extra cheese and bacon. I will never stop thinking about it, it was perfection.
