10/05/2026: The worst fish and chips I have had in years. The grease was running out of a poorly cooked fish. I would never set foot in this place again. The owner must have been posting the reviews. Avoid this place like the plague.

30/12/2025: This place is a local legend. Though the place itself isn't too grand on the eyes as the interior is quite minimal, the man at the desk couldn't be more cheerful to see anyone's face when they walk in and order, and there's always at least 1 person coming in or out collecting orders, and the food is comforting and delicious. Always excited to swing by and order, and their slice bags are like no others in Dublin, so good.

08/04/2026: Review: I visited Spice of India in Clonsilla today for a dine-in meal. I ordered 2 portions of Chicken Tikka Biryani. On their website menu, the price is listed as €16.95 each. But when I got the bill, they charged me €47.90 in total. When I asked about the difference, the staff member simply said that dine-in prices are different from takeaway prices. I understand a small markup for dine-in, but this is an enormous jump. For just two biryanis, I ended up paying nearly €48 – that’s over €14 extra compared to what their own website shows. To make it worse, the portion size was disappointing. They only gave just 2 sauce for two biryanis, and when I asked for raita, they acted like they were doing me a favour by finally providing it. I’m grateful I didn’t order anything else, or God knows how high the bill would have gone. This felt completely unfair and ridiculously overpriced. I will never recommend this place to anyone, and I will never visit again. Very disappointed.

17/10/2025: I was informed that Sunday - 12th Oct 2025 was the final service in Mario’s Ranelagh Great place, busy with locals! Nice food, House white wine was fab.

03/10/2025: Very disappointing. We were met by a sullen unfriendly staff member with very limited English and zero customer service skills. Throughout the evening we were served by four different staff members, no continuity of service and yet it took us the best part of 15 minutes to catch someone's attention to get the bill. At no stage were we asked if everything was ok or if we were enjoying our meal. Nobody said goodbye as we left, they were too busy sweeping and mopping the floor (at 9pm!). Food was ok. We thought our pasta portions were quite small, overpriced and I could make better myself. Overall impression was impersonal, take it or leave it service. As long-term residents of Ranelagh, very sad to see Mario's has gone downhill big time.

06/09/2025: The chicken burger at Topbun was delicious – crispy, juicy, and full of flavour. The portion was just right, and it felt fresh and well made. Definitely worth trying if you love a good chicken burger.

23/09/2025: ordered a goujon wrap and an omelette for my mam. The omelette was ok peppers were just put on wasnt cooked in with the omelette. Then i waited an hour for my wrap as they forgot about it and it wasnt busy when i ordered so i wont go there again

I actually hung up on them. always the same, charging mad prices for a tiny pot of sauces and ‘extras’ I wondered why I hadn’t ordered from them in a year and totally remember why…

19/01/2026: THE BEST CHICKEN GOUJONS OF ALL DCU During my exchange semester at DCU, I regularly came here to eat chicken goujons with my friends. The chicken goujons are the best I've ever had in all of Dublin. However, the staff is very unfriendly and the fries they serve are the blandest and most disgusting I've ever eaten in my life.

06/06/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ We recently visited The Vue Restaurant for our golf presentation evening. The venue is absolutely stunning, with fantastic panoramic views across Dublin that create a memorable setting for any event. The restaurant itself is beautifully presented, modern, and has a great atmosphere. The staff were excellent throughout the evening—friendly, professional, and very helpful. They worked hard to look after our group and ensure the presentation went smoothly, which was greatly appreciated. The food we received was good quality and well presented. However, as we were part of a larger party, there seemed to be some challenges with the service flow. At times there appeared to be a disconnect between orders being taken and food being delivered, which resulted in longer waiting times than expected. Unfortunately, because of these delays, our group only received the starters rather than experiencing the full meal. Despite this, the staff remained courteous and accommodating throughout, and it was clear they were doing their best under the circumstances. The combination of the spectacular views, stylish surroundings, and attentive team meant we still had an enjoyable evening. Overall, The Vue is a wonderful venue with huge potential and an amazing location. I would happily visit again, particularly with a smaller group, and would recommend it to anyone looking for great views and a unique dining experience in Dublin. 🌆🍽️🏆
