The best restaurants in Dublin

01/03/2025: Delivery took ages an hour and a half. Food arrived leaking through the bag was cold and frankly horrible. Rice was a congealed mess. Beef was tough and chewy. Will definitely not be returning.

30/03/2025: Just ordered here for dinner and almost choked on a huge thick fish bone.. this bone got so stuck that I had to make myself sick to get it unstuck.. 1st time In months ordering from here and have to say will be the last time never again

21/03/2025: What can I say ?! Price of a takeaway nowadays, it's a weekly treat. Went to phone in the order and, wait for it , was told " We don't accept phone orders at Friday, Saturday or Sunday, come in to order" Now previously this takeaway did struggle with order fulfillment. You'd ring in, be told it would be " 20 minutes" you'd arrive 20 minutes and you'd still be waiting - And be told to be quiet - The owner is that type - Very gruff, no customer service skills. Anyway, must be the first in the country - A takeaway where you can't phone in your order 🤣 Brilliant

09/03/2025: We visited here last night, must’ve rung at around 18:30pm and got booked in for 19:30pm. Once we arrived we hadn’t even been put in the books that we had booked for tonight. Once we had sat down not even a minute later the waitress was there asking what we would like to order food wise, we politely asked for a couple of more minutes to look through the order. Once we had ordered and got our drinks about 40 mins later our starter comes out which I think wasn’t worth the price at all, we had asked for cheesy garlic bread who had barely any cheese on. When ordering my drinks and my main I must’ve told the waitress twice that I had an allergy to fruit once when ordering drinks and again when ordering my food, I just felt like I wasn’t really understood and taken seriously. Normally when I tell restaurants about my allergy there would normally be a manager or the chef come up to me and speak about what it is I can and can’t have but that didn’t happen. Once my spaghetti bolognese arrived it was very watery and bland, I had a weird feeling when eating it as I just didn’t feel like I had been listened to but I still put my trust in the staff. I must’ve had about 5 or 6 mouthful's of the food and just didn’t feel right. Once we had finished and paid the bill that was very expensive and not worth the quality of the food at all I went back to my hotel and was in the back of an ambulance 10-15 mins after due to an allergic reaction. I feel like I had put my trust in staff and got completely ignored. To say I’m disappointed is an under statement, my birthday weekend has taken a massive turn and I feel like it’s money wasted.

28/02/2025: I went in Note for the 2nd time and it was just delicious. I had a wonderful evening, the staff is lovely, I can only recommand!

28/02/2025: What a find! We’re staying local and walked past the other evening, so glad we were able to book. Really relaxed vibe an excellent service. Max was super friendly and suggested some great wines. Drinks and food were top class (with good gluten free options) - highlights from the menu served today were the mini steak tartare, smoked eel, ox tongue and turbot. If you get chance, definitely visit!!

17/04/2025: Went in at 8:30 to get some cake slices, expecting them to be fresh. They all tasted like they've been sitting in the fridge overnight. Ended up just throwing them away. Don't waste your money

13/04/2025: One of the oldest bakeries in Dublin. I think it is family owned. Has many options for a dine in quick visit and for ordering large quantities or big cakes. Tasty products.

29/11/2024: Interesting - over the years we have been very loyal supporters of Magee products. Including having had tailor made suits made for many occasions, including our sons wedding party in Cork. Most recently my second son went to the Magee shop in Sth Anne Street to select similar for his wedding party, such was the abysmal level of customer service and indifference he and his fiancée decided against this. Despite their experience and having been referred by the Arnotts franchise, yesterday I visited the FlagShip South Anne Street Store to be met with a completely overwhelmed (on their own) and indifferent staff member, who merely pointed out two rails of navy and grey suits that might meet my 'regular' fit requirements, but provided no further assistance/suggestion. Unfortunately this seems to be a recurring theme at this store and it is a real pity - there are so many 'ordinary' people that are supporters of Magee products and Irish industry and brands and in my opinion are not being well served by this approach.JMcG

16/02/2025: food came cold, it looked day old just reheated, delivery driver was very rude accusing me of giving the wrong address. Chicken was raw and when I rang they told me I was wrong very rude and very unhelpful. The delivery took over 2 hours when I rang they said it would be five minutes ended up being another hour

14/02/2025: Today, on Valentine’s Day, after having dinner to celebrate the occasion, we decided to go to this bar to relax and enjoy the moment. However, when we arrived at the entrance, the security guard assumed we were drunk just because we were laughing and, for that reason, did not let us in. I understand that security’s role is to ensure a safe environment for everyone, but a staff member’s rushed judgment can turn a positive experience into a frustrating one. I was expecting a place where we could feel welcome and respected, but unfortunately, that was not the case. I’m not writing this out of anger, but in the hope that the establishment will invest in training its staff to perform their jobs professionally and respectfully. Unfortunately, I will not recommend this place and do not intend to return.

15/04/2025: First ones orderd last one to get it! My boyfriend and I orderd 2 spice backs. We got our food 30 minutes apart of each other. Other people got there food earler then us but we orderd way earler. I will Not recommend this

12/04/2025: Eggs and muffin promised cherry tomatoes, black pepper and parsley butter. No sign of tomatoes, parsley or pepper.

06/04/2025: We arrived around 12 and there was no breakfast, but they offered us the Lunch menu. The staff is very friendly at all times. We ordered two sandwiches: one Buffalo chicken and one Homemade Ham. Both delicious!! They all come with potatoes with pepper and yogurt sauce.

17/04/2025: Very dark atmosphere clean ...nice staff....not busy... very little parking... Coffee could be hotter...

19/04/2025: Went in around 5pm on a Wednesday and was very quiet, but service was brilliant and barman was very helpful and gave recommendations for where to watch the football later on. Very well priced and a top pint to go along with it!

14/04/2025: Terrible pub, bouncer was unbelievably rude, would not recommend anyone to go here much better places in dublin, need to hire some new bouncers that aren’t about 80 years old

23/03/2025: Came to Costa coffee to pass time, I wasn’t feeling a coffee so decided to get a kids innocent smoothie thinking it will be cheaper then a coffee. I was wrong, FOUR EURO TEN CENT for a tiny little smoothie that’s a joke a small coffee here is 3.35 I actually cannot believe they are charging people €4.10 for a smoothie that wouldn’t even fill half of a small coffee cup absolutely ridiculous

30/03/2025: Great Burger King, possibly one of the best I've ever been to. The staff are friendly, the food is delicious and the portions are large. It's totally worth it. I go there quite often.

20/03/2025: Quiet most of the time, enjoyable place to eat some food. I had a couple of chicken burgers which were great and the bacon and cheese chips as well. Average, good, Burger King.
