The best restaurants in Dublin

27/06/2025: I miss the old location! The new place doesn't fit the Jackie's vibe I find. Great drinks, but not what it used to be in my opinion and the prices are just okay.

23/06/2025: Started out well, music was good. First cocktail was fab. Not a big fan of the Calpol cocktail, most of the group left them. Our waitress was lovely. Ordered 2 spicy margs, drink them all the time. They were way too spicy. Asked nicely if they could make them a bit less spicy. One of our group heard the manager giving out about us, I asked to speak to him explaining that there was no issue just too spicy. He was so rude and had such an attitude. I was really taken aback as none of us like to complain but that reaction was uncalled for. Left a poor taste in everyone's mouths and we left then. Group of 9, that was the only complaint. Won't be back!

18/10/2024: Hats off and time to get on your bike to Leo Burdocks. I hear Leo serves a great bag of chips

15/10/2024: Really nice brunch here, food came quickly and was super filling. I was surprised that they only had filter coffee but it was also quite tasty so no issues. Prices do let them down as I was really shocked to be charged €4 for each small cup of black coffee, that is more than you would pay for a cappuccino or latte in some places. I would still come back to try something else as the food was really good! But the price of the coffee left a sour taste in my mouth, €4 for a tiny cup of black coffee was a surprise and not nice to feel you have been ripped off.

27/06/2025: We had our first and only spice bag here while travelling Ireland. We enjoyed the food, we’d never had anything quite like it before! It was a large portion so we split the bag between us and still had extra.

08/06/2025: Glasthule location- Nice environment but unfortunately staff are young and untrained. There were 6 staff on all standing around not paying attention to the few tables they had. Coffee awful, and I got the Brie and Onion sandwich on sourdough which very little to no Brie on it. Such a pity, it could be a really nice place if the staff were trained. Hopefully management will take action on this!

30/05/2025: A beautiful little spot ruined by a strangely bad cafe. I am sorry but it does not match any 4+ star rated cafes! Been here tried food, coffee, etc, sat in, sat out, felt like it is run by untrained and understaffed staff, extremely unhygienic! The 4+ ratings is probably because it “used” to be nice at some point in time. Nevertheless they do get you what you want in the speed they like. And you eat, feel disappointed, pay and leave. Ruining your free time and money!

02/04/2025: Great local pub , good Guinness, and the bar service was great , very friendly and efficient , would thoroughly recommend this place .

16/03/2025: I am a new local to the area. It’s nice to have this friendly pub on my doorstep. I really enjoy that if you are going by yourself for a few quiet beers. They offer a nice table service that makes for a very relaxing evening not trying to see if your seat goes if you move from it to go to the bar. Staff are very responsive and friendly. Lovely pint of Guinness! Highly recommend.

02/07/2024: Definately pricey (especially in regard to the size of the drinks), but the cocktails are superior! Good and friendly service.

25/04/2024: Cocktail options are better than anywhere else in Dublin and the staff are very helpful and inviting

05/05/2025: The ingredients have been changed to cheapened versions. The cheese is a fake shade of orange/red, doesn’t even melt properly and the garlic sauce tasteless. The garlic cheese chips I recently got were rubbish and served cold. Complete waste of money. A friend got the kebab tonight and said the same, sauces and quality rubbish. Loads of issues over the years. They couldn’t care less about quality or customer service.

13/06/2025: Just finished quick family brunch ,and picked this place cause we had lovely memories of delicious food from 2 years ago,and well... mistake on our part.We had 2 kids breakfast-sausage ,bacon ,eggs,chips, what can go wrong ,right? Well cold chips, premade flavourless scrambled eggs.Next was Eggs Royal -dried out "sourdough "bread and very poor quality salmon ,thats repeting on my husband since we left, and Goat cheese Salad, definitely hit and miss ,random mix of not very tasty stuff, but cheese itself nice. That's were it ends .I have nothing against cheap produce and okaish food ,but only if price reflects it .Here we defo paid for something much better than we got .Shame.Imbreally surprised they rate 4 out of 5 in reviews🧐

10/06/2025: The food is beautiful, my only problem is that a personal request was overlooked, it personally wasn't that big of an issue to send the dish back but for others it might be a problem if you have certain dietary requirements. Service is fantastic and not usually a long wait for a table during busy periods. Location is great too. Worth a stop if you're in the area.
