21/12/2024: I was disappointed with our table last night. The area our table was in was very cold. The food was fine and good value. The waitress was very nice and did try to address the AC issue when we explained we were cold. The bathrooms absolutely stank of urine. I'd be unlikely to return sorry, but the bathroom hygiene was a big turn off, especially in a small/sharing plates restaurant.

08/12/2024: It is a mistake that it is called “Spanish Tapas”. The salad we ordered was raw potato, a few peas and carrots, no tuna, no egg. The potato omelette, which is a common dish in Spain, was poorly cooked, a shame. I recommend that the cooks be Spanish to be able to do things the way they should. The almost raw skewer too

10/12/2024: The food takes longer time to get ready, the place was cold no proper arrangements, you ask people to make bookings when they call and booked on getting there no record of booking.

06/10/2024: Bad hygenine from staff. A girl on the till today coughed without covering her mouth right infront of me before taking her order, and she continued to cough without covering it multiple times while I was there. When I was leaving I ordered another drink and the girl made it LICKED one of her fingers before putting the cap on my drink. I was too shocked to say anything at the time but I wish I did. This was disgusting

20/08/2024: I have been going to this Costa all 12 years of my life but today was different Me and my friend were waiting for one of our mates and we knew there was a if you don’t buy food your kicked out and we told them we were just waiting for our mate and he was going to order something, one our mate arrived we sat down just to catch up after a long summer break and then this lady came up to us and said get out your not order anything and I said excuse me my friend is ordering and she said no he is not I hate that service it is awful and know it’s silly coming from a 12 year old but don’t go here I even rang them and a polite lady answered and said she will talk to staff Don’t come here And did I forget to say my brother worked for them and I’m getting this rude negative response?

13/12/2024: Service was awful, no customer service skills whatsoever, they just seemed like they didn't want to be there which ruined the experience, won't be back.

20/10/2024: Do not order from here. Absolute rip off! This cost 29 euro for two (excluding delivery) They also forgot the rocky road. I have never left a bad review before! But this is ridiculous! Awful food, ridiculous price!

03/08/2024: Ich war letztes Jahr schon hier und habe seitdem von den leckeren Sandwiches geschwärmt. Ich war sehr froh als ich es heute wieder entdeckt habe. Die Sandwiches sind schnell zubereitet, warm und sehr lecker!

24/12/2024: We had a lovely dinner on Saturday before we visited Bord Gais Theatre. Servers (Tamata & Alison) were very friendly. We had sharing platter for starters with wings, ribs, bread. The steak is really good value at €30 with chips, sauce and garlic butter. We would recommend a pint of their Hope Beer too.

18/11/2024: I think we were just unfortunate with our meal. So we had the mossco sharing platter. 5prawns, 5ribs 9 chicken wing and bread. This was lovely apart from the crispy chicken wings it just said crispy on the menu but holy moly they were spicy we ate 2. The ribs amazing and the king prawns only problem is, if it's a sharing platter then at least do even numbers in portions? I had braised belly of pork unfortunately it was slightly burnt and a little tough. (tasted nice but a little too over cooked) desserts were a shame too, my partner had profiter roles cream but somehow the berry coulas and chocolate sauce were missing. I had a apple crumble with ice cream..I would expect crumble to be hot but nope stone cold. Although areas were let down in the food I marked it high as I believe this would have been a lovely meal as the tastes were amazing just a shame a few details\items missing etc. Waitress was really polite and friendly, supervisor maybe not, but manager was very apologetic and like I say could have been 5star on a good night.

09/12/2024: I went to buy hopia mongo i was told the price is 5.50 euro so i tap my card when I reached home I checked my account online I was surprised by the price they charged me 10 euro .And the hopia taste bad. It's a shame its your own country man.Not buying anymore. Even 1 star don't deserved it.

23/12/2024: Had a great night despite the admittedly overworked staff being comically rude ie rolling eyes and sighing as well as just being really awful service. Cajun burger was a bit meh.others food did look better. In summary you’re probably booking this place as a group so if you’re not sensitive you’ll manage to have a decent time.

23/12/2024: We booked from last month, every time we are in Dublin we come to Captain Amercians. Today we arrived and the table wasn't ready, we were told we can wait at the bar although the bar was full with no seats. When it came to ordering there was no chicken wings, and only small pizzas. Can honestly say won't be coming back, over the years it's got worse. It's not exactly good for the cost anymore.
