Yummy Noodle Box

Dublin
06/05/2025: Will charge you and not deliver
02/04/2025: I am very impressed with this place! I ordered on Uber Eats and actually received my food in 13 minutes. Now I do live nearby, but still, 13 mins is exceptional. I ordered a small mega box and they got it perfect. Crispy chips, lovely chicken and everything else, with just the right amount of spice and onions. If they keep serving food like this then I could easily see this becoming my new local Chinese takeaway.

Betelnut Cafe

Dublin
25/06/2025: 10 euro for badly microwaved porridge, usually wouldn't complain but it was very bad. Not at all as described on the menu. Don't know about other things on the menu but we also got a sausage roll which was not heated up correctly
21/06/2025: Absolutely terrible food. We ordered a sausage roll, it was served cold. We ordered porridge (which was 10 euro by the way) and it was served lukewarm. I could make nicer porridge in my sleep. It was served without spoons as well so we had to get up and search for them. Id imagine the coffee is the only good thing here, if even. Very overpriced for what you get. 25 euro spent in total on 2 bowls of porridge and a sausage roll. Ridiculous. Avoid this place at all costs

ZOUQ

Dublin
07/06/2025: Wrost service… worst food … don’t go .. waste of money
03/06/2025: Avoid at all costs. Abe yaar Pakistan ki yaad ai lekin gutter aur tatti ki. Rude service, oily as hell food and so disorganised. I am chef I know.. Edit - You can see from the response of the owner who instead of acknowledging or respectfully asking for me to get in touch in order for him to rectify and improve his services, gave the most typical response what you expect from these type of Dhaba’s. Go elsewhere with your custom lads.

Frehill Tavern

Dublin
13/05/2025: Cheap Pints, superb People! Perfect!
23/02/2025: Wow, I was in this pub again recently after a two year break. The host was so rude, really bad. I haven't experienced such insolence in a long time. I really can't recommend it, I'd rather go somewhere else. Totally unpleasant atmosphere Bad-tempered faces at the bar The service was really bad. Barely had time to place our order. The waiter immediately left as if he was happy to be rid of us. Totally unfriendly and not interested in his job. That doesn't work at all!

Insomnia Coffee Company - Parliament Street @ Spar

Dublin
25/06/2025: Great/Early morning coffees or Hot chocolates. Staff Great. Security excellent - so safe haven in the early hours. Particularly Insomnia Café Across from Saint Stephen's Green
18/04/2025: A classic Dublin corner. Magnet for the most unusual characters in Ireland... Most bizarre scenes late in the night... I feel for the security guards, I hope they are well paid

Costa Coffee

Dublin
26/03/2025: Came here to study and the staff are so polite and kind and the brownie was delish
23/03/2025: Came to Costa coffee to pass time, I wasn’t feeling a coffee so decided to get a kids innocent smoothie thinking it will be cheaper then a coffee. I was wrong, FOUR EURO TEN CENT for a tiny little smoothie that’s a joke a small coffee here is 3.35 I actually cannot believe they are charging people €4.10 for a smoothie that wouldn’t even fill half of a small coffee cup absolutely ridiculous

Michie Sushi

Dublin
22/05/2025: Well, the sushi is great, so far the best I've eaten in Ireland
16/05/2025: The server is really friendly and nice but the sushi was dry and the tuna was off, the rice was sticky and old. The miso soup was tasteless. Unfortunately if they do not improve their products, it's going to close because the sushi made me feel unwell. A couple of years ago the sushi here used to be very good. The prices do not justify the products.

Insomnia Coffee Company - Deansgrange

Dublin
08/04/2025: This plave used to be lovely, but the prices have gone mad, I had to repeat my drink order 3 times, and when I received it it was missing a part of the drink which I then had to request. Disappointed.

The Address Connolly

Dublin
06/06/2025: If you're planning a stay at The Address Connolly and considering driving—don’t. The nearest car park is about a 10-minute walk away, run-down and not somewhere I’d feel comfortable leaving my car. While they advertise parking at Connolly Station, anyone familiar with Dublin will know that’s far from ideal, and I wouldn’t recommend it at all. Now onto the facilities—calling the spa a “spa” is a stretch. It’s essentially a pool and a sauna, and to access it, you're charged an extra €25 per person. Outrageous, especially considering you can only use it until checkout time on your departure day—even if you paid. It felt more like a money grab than a premium offering. The lift system deserves a special mention—for all the wrong reasons. Easily the slowest lifts I’ve ever experienced. On multiple occasions we waited upwards of 5 minutes just to be able to get to our floor. For a modern, four-star hotel, that’s just unacceptable. We had dinner at the North bar/restaurant in the hotel, and I’d call the experience underwhelming at best. It wasn’t busy—only 9 people inside—but we still waited over 30 minutes for average-at-best food. For the price, you'd expect better service and quality. Breakfast was another disappointment. We went down at 9 a.m. and found the food options already being cleared away—even though breakfast was supposed to run for another 90 minutes. The layout was awkward—you had to cross the entire room just to use a toaster—and the overall selection and food quality were poor. The rooms were fine. Clean, decently sized, and comfortable—but nothing that stood out. For the price point and the fact that it's marketed as a four-star hotel, you expect a far more polished experience. Final Verdict: The Address Connolly is trading on its location and branding, but unfortunately, it doesn't live up to the expectations set by its star rating or price. Between the hidden spa charges, poor food service, and dismal parking options, there are much better places to stay in Dublin for the same money.
03/06/2025: We stayed at the hotel over the weekend and really enjoyed the room — it was clean, comfortable, and the location was excellent. However, a few things let the experience down. There was no bottled water in the room (something most hotels provide as standard), and the in-room phone didn’t work, so we had to call reception using our mobile just to ask for water. Most disappointing was how we were treated after checkout. We paid €175 for our stay and wanted to use the relaxation and spa area before leaving, but were told that since we had checked out at 12 noon, we were no longer considered guests and couldn’t use the facilities. We’ve stayed in other hotels before where using the spa or leisure areas after checkout was never an issue. It felt unnecessarily rigid and unwelcoming. We’d already vacated the room and weren’t taking up any space — it would have cost the hotel nothing to allow us that bit of relaxation before heading off. Instead, it gave off a clear “we’ve got your money, now move along” vibe. It really soured the end of what had been a nice stay, and we left feeling disappointed.
