Base Wood Fired Pizza Killester
Dublin
25/06/2025: The Pizza is good and the staff is always friendly, however I would say it is a little expensive unless there is a deal.
03/06/2025: The family package: two large pizzas, a small focaccia with pesto, a portion of diced potatoes, two juices and two San Pellegrino drinks for about 50 euros + delivery
Delivery on time
Excellent quality, the mozzarella and other ingredients do not fall off the pizza, as often happens.
The only thing I would recommend is to offer more traditional pizzas and a wider choice (although you can create your own pizza, for example, there is no cooked ham, tuna and cherry tomatoes etc.)

O'Briens Cafe
Dublin
04/05/2025: Fantastic little cafe, staff really friendly & knowledgeable. Such a treat to be able to get a decent & tasty gluten free sandwich! We will definitely return.
29/03/2025: Toasted sandwich was tasteless and bread was like cardboard. Floor filthy. Staff member served me only when completely finished her chat with other staff member. Would not recommend this place.

Subway
Dublin
14/04/2025: Few options, the cashier guy is very rude!!!!!

Eat at NCI
Dublin
09/06/2025: Full-time, one-year Master of Science in Cloud Computing at the National College of Ireland. As an international student with prior experience in cloud computing, I had high expectations from this course, expectations that, unfortunately, have not been met.
The overall course delivery has been disappointing. Most of the lecturers teaching cloud computing lack both effective teaching methods and depth in subject matter. The assessment pattern is heavily focused on pen and paper exams, which require students to reproduce content word for word from the course materials. Creative thinking or expressing answers in your own words is not encouraged and is often penalized. This completely undermines real learning and practical application, which is essential for a field like cloud computing.
Even though students invest a lot of time and creativity in their projects, the evaluation gives disproportionate weight to exams. Projects, which reflect hands-on skills and real understanding, are sidelined in favour of rote memorization.
Thesis selection has been a painful process. Many students, including myself, have been pressured to choose topics preferred by the lecturers or ones they are already familiar with, rather than being allowed to explore areas of personal interest. This has caused significant frustration and stress among the student body. Many students have even failed their thesis due to lack of proper support and restrictive guidance from supervisors.
Some lecturers, particularly those handling Machine Learning modules, are dismissive and unapproachable. They insist that only the exact content from their material be reproduced, disregarding alternative explanations or deeper understanding. This rigid mindset hampers student growth and discourages independent learning.
To be very honest, pursuing Cloud Computing at NCI has been a regrettable experience. The program is not aligned with the demands of a future-driven technology like cloud computing. The lecturers, rather than enabling learning, often act as a barrier. I do not recommend this course to international students, especially those seeking practical knowledge, academic freedom, and proper support during their studies.
13/03/2025: There is a lack of support for international students

Royal Indian Cuisine, Sandyford
Dublin
30/10/2024: Deliciously Amazing food, Biryani is suggested for sure once in life time.
Fully suggested for family gathering and specially kids play area is re-visit for kids.
Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant Royal biryani kitchen known for its tantalizing BBQ kebabs & biryani. As a fan of grilled delights, I was eager to see if their offerings lived up to the hype, and I was not disappointed.
Atmosphere:
The ambiance was warm and inviting, with rustic decor that complemented the BBQ theme. The smell of smoke from the grill filled the air, heightening the anticipation before my meal arrived. The seating was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and attentive, making for an enjoyable dining experience.
Menu Selection:
The menu featured a variety of kebab options, including chicken, lamb, and vegetarian choices. They also offered a range of marinades that promised to elevate the flavor profile. I decided to try the classic chicken and lamb kebabs, accompanied by a side of their signature garlic & mint sauce and fresh bread paratha.
Taste:
Both kebabs were grilled to perfection. The chicken was tender and juicy, marinated in a delightful blend of spices that gave it a smoky flavor with just the right amount of kick. The lamb kebab was equally impressive—rich and flavorful, with a slightly charred exterior that added an extra layer of depth to the taste.
The garlic sauce was a standout; it complemented the meat beautifully, enhancing each bite without overpowering the natural flavors. The fresh parata that accompanied the meal was soft and fluffy, perfect for wrapping around the kebabs or scooping up the sauce.
Value:
The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable for the quality of food served. It felt like a good value, especially considering the freshness of the ingredients as compared in Bray town.
Overall Experience:
My experience at Royal biryani kitchen was truly enjoyable. The BBQ kebabs were the highlight of the meal, and I left feeling satisfied and eager to return. Whether you’re a kebab aficionado or just looking for a delicious meal, I highly recommend Biryani out this spot.
Final Thoughts:
For those in search of flavourful BBQ kebabs and biryani in a welcoming beach town Bray will fully recommend Royal biryani kitchen is a must-visit. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to try more from their diverse menu!
Kind regards,
Abdul

Very poor service not sure why people rate it.
Maybe good for takeaway service but don't waste your time here.

25/05/2025: a place where you can drink a nice coffee and feel comfortable. Clean and high quality. The staff is friendly and warm. If you want to get your coffee and start the day positively, this is the right place for you. Thank you
11/02/2025: The coffee was good but not exceptional to warrant the cost. One coffee was €5 which is very expensive even for Dublin. The bathroom was very dirty and the staff was not particularly polite.
