02/03/2026: Used to drop in there now and again over the years and it was ok. Then a few years ago it was being run by I'm not sure who but it was a trendy sort of bar and was very pleasant. The latest incarnation is however a slide down the scale from pleasant to ugggh. Visited the other day around 4pm. The table we sat at was not clean - sticky beer stains all over it; Its not like the place was so busy basic table management was not possible. I counted 11 other customers in the place Sat on a low stool (thankfully) and fell off leaving me on the floor - turns out the seat was not attached to the base - I mean seriously ‽ There are better places in the area to spend your money so don't waste it here.

25/04/2026: Avoid these people, they deliberately ripped me off twice in a week. The first time I put it down to error, they overcharged me for a meal when it wasn't one. But today I asked for a half pounder with egg, they gave me a quarter pounder with no sign of any egg. I know cultural sensibility is a thorny subject, but these people should be very grateful they are here. If they don't like it they can go home. Avoid.

21/01/2026: How can you get chips wrong - got grey tasteless chips tonight from Capri Kimmage so disappointed as I was looking forward to chips. Is the any good chippers left in Dublin.

06/04/2026: mediocre place, cant really trust a place that specialises in everything. Maybe if i got a pizza or kebab from here id change my mind but they cant even make good chips so am i really willing to risk my money for anything else?

05/06/2026: I had a brilliant experience here! Their paneer lababdar is absolutely a must-try. I truly recommend this spot for a fantastic takeaway night. The food was amazing! ✨

22/02/2026: Have ordered before from Spice Cottage and food was always great. But yesterday, we ordered two starters (onion baji and chicken pakura), both were soaking in grease and virtually inedible…we ordered one main (chicken tikka masala with Pilau rice), the rice was the best part!! The Nasn bread was soggy. Feels like a completely different takeaway/chef…reluctant to try again!!!

08/05/2026: Was super hungry & ordered katsu fries online. Specifically asked for a good amount of curry sauce in the fries. The order was an hour late & had ZERO sauce. Not ordering here again. The temple bar branch is really good though.

03/04/2026: The amount of food compared to the price was really small, and was not the tastiest.

15/05/2026: Worse McDonald's from far miles away. It's more a convenient option as I live near. Every time I ordered online it was a chaos in my order, but today is definitely the last time I'm ordering. When you pay 30 35 euros each time you order you expect at least the decency of getting everything warmish, besides paid for dips and asked for ketchup that was not in the bag, instead of double big tasty which is 10.20 just the burger itself I've got a spicy McKrispy but sure look chicken is cheaper I suppose. Every single time the same thing, pay for things never you get.

06/04/2026: Girl at drive through 1030pm 6/4/26 extremely slow let a two people order somthing like €60 worth of food there was loads staff to take my order in the other drive through standards this place gone downhill since covid

08/03/2026: Got Snack Box meal with breast another snack box chicken certainly not fresh Thigh tasted weird fresh cod meal and onion rings Fish was not great Onion rings were nice Chips ok but could of been better Probably worst take away I had there Staff were not that pleasant Would certainly not be tempted to return

21/11/2025: The worst taro milk tea I have ever tasted, it was just straight up milk. The server was kind enough to add more taro powder but still it tasted just of milk.

27/09/2025: I'm a seasoned Taro drinker and this places Taro boba was really bad. The milk was watered down and very little Taro was used in the drink. Go somewhere else folks there are other lovely boba places in Dublin.

17/02/2026: The chocolate was delicious, and the Venezuelan guy who served us was super friendly.

25/11/2025: As a donut fan and lover, I found these too dry and bland for my taste. If you do a blind taste test, you won't know what you're actually eating. I'll try them again another day to give them another chance.

06/03/2026: A cozy place with a feel of good food to be had. We had great evening here with friends. Crab , Calamari starters excellent. Most had Dublin bay prawns and just superb. Sides were good and very helpful waiters when we asked for items not on the menu. Enjoyed good loire wines at reasonable prices for the fish. Our party were delighted with the experience. Will be back.

02/03/2026: This restaurant has a cosy and elegant atmosphere, with attentive servers who do not rush you at all. The seafood is very tasty and the desserts looked good (though we didn't partake). The vegetable sides are almost uniformly overdone, though -- just get the creamed spinach and forget about the broccoli, cauliflower or green beans, which are tasteless and overdone. Whyyyyy??? This is a throwback place that may well be coasting on tourists. You can eat much better at many other spots in town, but the servers and the atmosphere is charming and beautifully quiet.

02/12/2025: I tried a spice bag for the first time. It was very heavily seasoned, which I enjoyed, although I can see how others might think it was too much. The price felt slightly high, but I'm not from the area, so it may be reasonable. That said, the portion was extremely large, enough to feed two people. I appreciated how the restaurant used foil packs and a foil lined bag, to help keep the food warm.

01/11/2025: Took two hours for delivery to arrive. The last delivery we got took one hour thirty minutes to arrive. Could not get through by phone to query where delivery was. Driver who arrived needs a lesson in customer care. Avoid if you are hungry. There are better takeaways in area.
