The best restaurants in Dublin

25/09/2025: Had the worst experience of any pub I've ever been in. The barman suffers from small angry man syndrome, he was extremely rude to myself and my friend, what makes it worse was that the owner was serving customers next to us. The barman has obviously forgot the meaning of a public house and would need to change his attitude or job, he clearly is not enjoying it.

20/09/2025: Unfriendly .. without any reason stopped giving out drinks. After asking for the manager, conversation was stopped..

25/04/2026: Avoid these people, they deliberately ripped me off twice in a week. The first time I put it down to error, they overcharged me for a meal when it wasn't one. But today I asked for a half pounder with egg, they gave me a quarter pounder with no sign of any egg. I know cultural sensibility is a thorny subject, but these people should be very grateful they are here. If they don't like it they can go home. Avoid.

21/01/2026: How can you get chips wrong - got grey tasteless chips tonight from Capri Kimmage so disappointed as I was looking forward to chips. Is the any good chippers left in Dublin.

08/02/2025: Index is gone. The security staff, who many people have mentioned before, were an issue. I was there with my girlfriend and had a bean bag with me. One of the bouncers jokingly called it a "lady bag" and kept laughing at me. I didn’t want to argue with him because I knew he wouldn’t let me in after, but honestly, some basic customer service would be nice. I paid for my ticket, which helps pay their wages, so a little professionalism isn’t too much to ask. I get that they don’t need to be geniuses, but hiring staff with at least some common sense and a professional attitude would go a long way. The security checks also feel more intense than at an international airport. And maybe try opening on time? We know you’re the only club in Dublin, so we don’t have many options, but this is Ireland—it’s windy, and it rains. Standing outside for an hour in that weather is enough to make anyone sick. I used to love Index, not gonna lie.

01/02/2025: Mind the bouncers, they will sack you for the minimal reason or not let you go in if you arrive late doesn't matter if you have the ticket already.

05/06/2026: I had a brilliant experience here! Their paneer lababdar is absolutely a must-try. I truly recommend this spot for a fantastic takeaway night. The food was amazing! ✨

22/02/2026: Have ordered before from Spice Cottage and food was always great. But yesterday, we ordered two starters (onion baji and chicken pakura), both were soaking in grease and virtually inedible…we ordered one main (chicken tikka masala with Pilau rice), the rice was the best part!! The Nasn bread was soggy. Feels like a completely different takeaway/chef…reluctant to try again!!!

18/01/2026: The Chicken Tikka Masala I got was poor quality, featuring dry, unmarinated cubes of meat that lacked the traditional char and flavours expected of the dish, def not marinated! Furthermore, the prawn dish was overcooked to a mushy consistency and were entirely flavourless and went straight in the bin! Given that these dishes were so bad I will not order from here again!

11/01/2026: Is the chef was on leave today? This is not biriyani, it is puzhugal ari with chicken cubes.

05/04/2026: I will give minus star to this place. Very sad and frustrating. Whatever they provide was zero with low quality. I think they should stop selling biryani because its a insult for biryani. Overall very bad experience with food , communication and din in as well. Must take in view my review for a honesty. Otherwise you will regret for your money.

15/05/2026: Worse McDonald's from far miles away. It's more a convenient option as I live near. Every time I ordered online it was a chaos in my order, but today is definitely the last time I'm ordering. When you pay 30 35 euros each time you order you expect at least the decency of getting everything warmish, besides paid for dips and asked for ketchup that was not in the bag, instead of double big tasty which is 10.20 just the burger itself I've got a spicy McKrispy but sure look chicken is cheaper I suppose. Every single time the same thing, pay for things never you get.

06/04/2026: Girl at drive through 1030pm 6/4/26 extremely slow let a two people order somthing like €60 worth of food there was loads staff to take my order in the other drive through standards this place gone downhill since covid

19/04/2026: Have been ordering from here since I moved to tallaght 3 years ago. Food always hits the spot but tonight's battered sausage and chips were even better than usual. Highly reccomend.

17/04/2026: The problem with this chipper is the consistency. When it's good it's really good. But it seems to be getting worse. We spent nearly,€100 and this is what your getting. The food is ALWAYS stuck to the paper. Have to find find a new place to start ordering from. Because it's gotten ridiculous!

08/03/2026: Got Snack Box meal with breast another snack box chicken certainly not fresh Thigh tasted weird fresh cod meal and onion rings Fish was not great Onion rings were nice Chips ok but could of been better Probably worst take away I had there Staff were not that pleasant Would certainly not be tempted to return

08/05/2026: Was super hungry & ordered katsu fries online. Specifically asked for a good amount of curry sauce in the fries. The order was an hour late & had ZERO sauce. Not ordering here again. The temple bar branch is really good though.

21/11/2025: The worst taro milk tea I have ever tasted, it was just straight up milk. The server was kind enough to add more taro powder but still it tasted just of milk.

27/09/2025: I'm a seasoned Taro drinker and this places Taro boba was really bad. The milk was watered down and very little Taro was used in the drink. Go somewhere else folks there are other lovely boba places in Dublin.

21/05/2025: I've been coming here for 4 years about 3 or 4 times a week, the staff here are lovely and so kind. Today there's been a violent incident that the security guard yelled at a young mother. This was clearly an act of racism. It was very disappointing to see that this individual created a disgusted atmosphere in this lovely coffee shop.
