The best restaurants in Dublin

21/09/2025: My stay at the Generator Hostel Dublin was a complete disappointment, and I can't recommend this hostel to anyone. As soon as I entered the room, it was clear that it didn't live up to my expectations. The room was tiny—smaller than a storage closet—and the space between the beds was so small that it was impossible to spread out a suitcase. On top of that, there was a massive pillar in the middle of the room, causing one of the beds to lean. This not only looked odd, but also created a dangerous gap that was easy to fall into at night. The cleanliness was appalling: the fan was completely covered in dust, the surfaces were covered in dust, and the shower was moldy and very dirty. The hot and cold water taps at the sink were reversed, which is simply annoying. The entire room was stuffy, hot, and consistently noisy—sleep was almost impossible. We also found insects in the room. The beds themselves were more reminiscent of hospital or psychiatric beds: cheap, hard, and extremely uncomfortable. The comforters were stained, partly dirty, and some beds even had crumbs in them. To make matters worse, one entire bed didn't even have power for the lights or outlets – meaning there was no lamp or charging facility. When we complained, the manager wasn't even available. Instead of a serious solution or compensation, we were only offered towels – a bad joke considering the many shortcomings. All in all, this stay was a disgrace. The price and the reality are completely out of proportion, so in my opinion, I wouldn't recommend this hostel.

20/09/2025: Great location, quiet area, fairly modern rooms. Cons: The flush was broken on the first day and was never looked at, and only half of the outlets worked.

10/11/2025: First time Trying this got Spice bag and wont be back was mainly sugar no seasoning

09/09/2025: Food ok. But the staff. Is it such a problem to give me a can of 7up instead of coke without talking about me through their teeth.

27/09/2025: A wait of an hour and a half to recieve luke warm food and only after a phone call is not acceptable. They've lost a long standing customer and I've lost almost €20. Avoid.

04/10/2025: I was there the other night got a kaba and onion rings the minute I finished it i knew i wasn't right afterwards i spent the night in the loo and miss out on a day's work the next day so wouldn't recommend going there at all

28/09/2025: I really liked it, the service is top-notch. The guy who was handling the fries did everything perfectly; honestly, Donatella is running thanks to him. The food is tasty, but a bit pricey. I’m giving 5 stars for the Asian guy 👍🏻

19/10/2025: Truly awful experience today for lunch. We had been on many occasions before and were always wowed by the atmosphere food and service. A group of 6 of us arrived for lunch today and were seated next to a group of 50 people which appeared to be a christening. The noise was deafening, children running around screaming and staff were few, and very overwhelmed. The food was really poor, the accompanying salad with the prawn tempura lacked freshness, the steak was as tough as old boots with no marination, and the ice cream for dessert was similar to what you’d get at a children’s birthday party. I complained to management and they did discount the bill, a solid gesture but not what I was looking for! We were looking for a nice meal in a ‘small leading hotels of the world’ restaurant but it felt like a cross between McDonald’s and a roadside cafe. Management need to step up, this is APPALLING, and we will not be stepping in there ever again

From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding—warm, attentive, and effortlessly professional. The staff made us feel genuinely welcome, and their thoughtful care added a personal touch to every breakfast. The food? Absolutely delicious. Each morning brought a beautifully prepared spread that was both satisfying and refined. Fresh croissants (the chocolate ones were a favorite), vibrant fruits, and rich, aromatic coffee set the tone for the day ahead. The ambiance was bright and relaxed, with just the right balance of elegance and comfort. Whether you're a guest at the Dylan or simply seeking a top-notch breakfast in Dublin, The Eddison delivers a memorable experience with style and heart.

10/07/2025: Nice coffee, nice service. Cozy place and friendly staff!

08/07/2025: My latte today tasted like a cheap 3-in-1 instant version. There was absolutely no foam. My friend's cappuccino was also like slop. The staff cleans the tables and floor when the customer sits down to drink coffee. Not when they leave. The tables are dirty. We were drinking coffee at a low table sitting in chairs and a guy with a broom came and started sweeping around us, even though the rest of the place was empty and in need of cleaning. To us it was like "Get out of this cafe!" I will never come to this place again. The foam was only for washing your hands, not in the coffee cups.

16/09/2025: Used to love the Sandwiches. Coffee is great. Have not been back since about 3 months ago they appeared to change the sandwiches. They didn't respond to an email regarding this. I'll try again sometime soon to see if they have gone back to the super sandwiches they used to have. Nope. No change. Not for me!

13/11/2025: When I was there, it wasn’t a take away yet. I’m not a vegan, but on that particular evening I ate a vegan pizza and it was very tasty. The place was cozy and the service was very friendly.

20/11/2025: Cashier is very friendly (Lin) . Lots of stuff this time. Promotion is worth it. The cashier system must be improved. Excellent

17/10/2025: Recently booked, paid online and pickup keropok lekor from here. Wanted to drop by just to pickup keropok lekor but we ended up adding more Malaysian gem stuff into our carts 😅 From kicap habhal, serbuk asam and asam boi, twisties cheese!! Lovely service but be mindful of the expiry date, ask for discount if you’re willing to buy it if it hs already expired 😉 The “fresh” goods are not something you would come for here but their packed Malaysian goods are definitely worth coming for.

06/09/2025: Had a family breakfast at this place with 4 adults and one kid. Lovely place for family gatherings.

24/08/2025: Always good tasty food at Kays Kitchen no matter where you find one. Blackrock's one has great views from its upstairs location in the mall. Plenty of room, tables and seating. No real wait time for food. Give it a go if you haven't already.

20/10/2025: The best thai food in town. Fresh and delicious.

10/10/2025: Didn’t even explain about the food! The guy on the till explain the way sounds like dips are free but actually he charged for that! Not enough veg on the spice bag, chicken is very hard, and the potatoes are too dry and hard too. Over all taste is very poor.

25/10/2025: Not even joking here - the BEST garlic sauce in Dublin. Chips also fire. Staff were very polite and sweet. Would DEFINITELY return to the Bistro!
