The best restaurants in Dublin

09/10/2026: I bought fish and chips from this café today, and unfortunately, I became ill afterwards. I am extremely disappointed with the experience and concerned about the quality and freshness of the food. This was completely unacceptable, and I would not recommend this place based on my experience. I hope the management takes this complaint seriously and looks into the matter to ensure this does not happen to anyone else.

29/09/2026: Comfortably the worst chipper. I have given it a chance every few months the last 2 years and it's been a let down each time. Raw chips. Premium price.

05/10/2026: Average Chinese, spice bag is very sugary

13/09/2026: Staff are nice ,food is good. Would return ,

22/08/2026: Have completely changed the menu and there isn't a real restaurant anymore. What a disappointment. Just a cafe

04/08/2026: Sad to see that this place has declined, Daddy’s used to be a great spot for breakfast or a take away coffee and pastry, but since reopening as the Day Cafe it’s just not the same anymore. I got a ham and cheese toasted sandwich for take away, which was not great. The sandwich was dry and not pleasant to eat, and the cheese overpowering in taste. The ham was tasty enough, but on the dry side too. It’s hard to get a sandwich wrong, and there are very few things on the menu, so I’m not sure what happened here - the old sandwiches at Daddy’s were tasty! The pastry selection also looked quite dry and not tempting at all, in the end I didn’t order any. However, my friend ordered a coffee (flat white) said it was decent. I hope they pull it together soon, it’s such a shame to want to support a local spot but not get value back for your money.

28/09/2026: Driver stunk of bo ,he's delivering food I'll never order

06/09/2026: Best pizza ever. And always arrives quickly

24/08/2026: Food is bland and staff is rude. I have no idea what i paid because they just shoved the card reader in my face and said nothing. An absolute unorganized mess. I sat and witnessed them be rude to every foreigner and over the top sweet to locals. The sign out front says "good vibes" (but only if you're local) This place sucks.

10/03/2026: Absolute kip of a place!!! Came in with some friends and was immediately turned off by the man behind the counter. He did not smile once or even greet us as we were paying at the till, he looked at the girls making our orders and asked them what I was having after I just told him. So rude and just turned me off the place altogether

17/07/2026: Tastes weird, staff don't seem to want to work there, customw going in and out to the bathroom without consuming and they messed up the order making me pay more for only 2 menus

17/06/2026: Lovely experience I had spice box

03/10/2026: food arrived fast and delivery driver was lovely but food had a slight off taste to it which made eating it uncomfortable

04/08/2026: Ordered nearly €100 worth of food, food arrived after about 45 mins. Barely lukewarm, all pizzas bland and cardboardy, toppings missing. 2x cookie doughs missing, all extra dips missing, wrong chicken orders came with the delivery and were extremely soggy and unevenly sauced. Called the store to resolve missing items and the guy on the phone was cheeky and telling me to recheck my boxes etc even with the receipt in my hand and the food in front of me. Finally sent the cookies out and they were miniscule portions, 2 tiny cookies for a total of €10, no compensation no apology. Terrible value and crap quality food. Absolutely will not be ordering from here again. Avoid at all costs!!! *UPDATE* The store called me up the same night i left this review, asking me to take it down and in return they would "compensate me". I refused and told them i had no interest ordering from them again etc and would not be removing the review. Furthermore, the reply from them left on this review asking me to contact the email, i actually did email them. Got no reply. Apalling behaviour overall.

01/10/2026: A rude customer keeps running her mouth

26/07/2026: Absolutely filthy, floor and tables disgusting and people openly vaping, avoid!

15/10/2026: Had a snack box best southern fried chicken.

09/10/2026: Me and my girlfriend ordered an olivo’s burguer, and it’s divine, I saw a lot of bad reviews here, but I they are under a new management now, the burger is delicious, and the guys who served us were very nice and very helpful, thanks a lot and we’ll definitely comeback

20/08/2026: A superb restaurant with delicious food, attentive staff and pleasant ambiance

14/08/2026: The food was absolutely amazing and the staff couldn't have been more attentive. Would definitely go back 😃

29/07/2026: Absolutely appalled by the way I was treated. While I was simply ordering my food, a member of staff falsely accused me of smoking, despite I wasn’t. It was embarrassing, disrespectful and completely unprofessional. What made the situation worse was that no one apologised after making the false accusation. Instead of admitting the mistake he made he just said “oh” when he realised he was wrong, making me feel unwelcome and humiliated for no reason. Treating people with basic respect costs nothing. I certainly won’t be returning after this experience and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone if this is how they treat their customers. The food was not great at all either.

12/05/2026: Really excellent chips, very good fish, I just wish they would improve their quarter pounder offering. Burgers is pretty stingy, dry, tasteless. Guys, change your burger supplier! There are so many better options out there 😊

14/06/2026: Avoid. I have never experienced such a level of rudeness and lack of culture in my life. I ordered one simple cappuccino to go, the barista guy who claims to be the manager served me coffee with chocolate sprinkles. As a coffee lover who knows most coffee shops in the area my experience is that baristas would always ask customer first if they want any extras. I told him this that I haven't ordered chocolate sprinkles on the coffee and that he should have asked me, he replied "we don't do it here" . Well. so you just serve the client product they didn't order??? With a big sulk he made me another coffee, on purpose in a quick and sloppy way. I didn't take it. Just left and will never set my foot there again.

28/05/2026: Went here for the first time. I received an extremely milky iced latte and a deadpan stare from a barista with glasses that appeared unable or unwilling to speak. Very uncomfortable and rude service. While sitting down with my coffee I witnessed him bark at a man trying to order, it seems he does speak!

06/08/2026: Trippy and Lauren is the best staff

18/06/2026: Ordered carbonara no flavour on it never had a problem before with the food got 3 stars coz the driver was polite

16/09/2026: Please teach one barista what foam is and what a high pour is. She was lovely and friendly but I asked for a no foam latte and she kept saying okay no cream 😅

12/07/2026: Every time I come here the bathroom is out of order. People can't even wash their hands. The staff would not allow people to even use the sink. That is not higenic. Also the service is not good. I would not recommend this place.

21/07/2026: Wouldn't deliver my order and didn't receive a refund. They are a scam

17/07/2026: Visiting family in Harold's cross and the kids wanted a Chinese, quick Google and m&j Chinese was the first to pop up. Food was delicious
