29/03/2025: Overall quite bad experience in this place, mostly because slow and messy service. Food was good and tasty. We went for lunch and, in line with other comments I read here in Maps reviews later, even if there were less than four tables busy, our food took very long time (simple egg fried rice and noodles with veg wok dishes, that other places get ready in 10 mins). After finishing our starter and waiting a while (it was by then around 3pm and we were very hungry), we asked and only then they realized our food had to be cooked. Even then, as our food was delivered plate by plate, when we finally had most of our food, one of the orders was missing as well as a side order or egg fried rice. We waited another 15 mins or so and then once again, one of the waitress asked if all was OK, but after we explained the fact one of the mains was missing, she just wanted to take details of the missing food and order it all over. By them most had eaten and the person with the missing dish just had a light lunch taking a little bit from each of the others, so we just paid and left. Note: if you order juices or sparkling water, you won't get a bottle but actually a glass of the drink, served behind the counter.

24/02/2025: Although this says permanently closed, you can at least order from Uber Eats. The food I received was lukewarm at best and the taste was salty and awful. Only one dish of five was even edible. Avoid at all costs.

27/03/2025: I MAY have entered the premises without any authorization, but I've seen what they put in the bread and it's NOT pretty I repeat NOT PRETTY. I won't say what it is but if you ever feel a meaty taste on your toast, let's just say.. hmm. That's live deer. Yes

19/03/2025: Just heard Brennans have joined the Halal bandwagon. That's the last time our family buys their so called bread.

30/03/2025: I never leave bad reviews but this was an absolutely shocking food delivery from this place. We spent almost €80 on two mains 2 sides 2 starters and 1 kids meal for it all to end up going in the bin. We waited over an hour for delivery for it to arrive missing an item. All of the food was lukewarm at best and the rice and noodle dishes were completely inedible, they fell out of the containers congealed gelatinous lumps. Everything was greasy and flavourless and the chicken in the kids fried rice meal was stale and rubbery. I have never had a take away so bad. I needed to get my kids fed so ended up dumping the lot and making them something else. A total waste of money and complete disappointment, will never be ordering from here again.

02/04/2025: As a regular customer of Romayos in Ashtown, I made an order on the 2nd of April 2025 at around 7:45pm, and ordered at the kiosk with my usual order which is the 3 piece chicken thighs meal. As soon as I paid, one of the staff (named Ana) approached me saying that they have no 3x chicken thighs for now and would have to wait 15mins as there is limited quantity and said they only have wings & breast chicken pieces which I never really order. So I decided to change my order instead, but what really caught me off guard was that she made such a rude comment after about my previous order saying that I should never order 3 pieces chicken thighs and should choose other pieces instead. I have never experienced a staff telling me so rudely what I should order, I choose the thigh pieces because it provided an option which pieces you would prefer, if that was the case you should have never advertised the options for chicken pieces if your staff will just dictate what customers should order. I usually never have a problem when they tell me that there are no more of the pieces I order, but this certain staff was very rude about it which was very disappointing. I hope this will improve in the future for other customers. Please take this into consideration thank you.

18/02/2025: Nice cafe, coffee was nice and had a muffin also. Nice view but poor weather outside, was a bit disappointed that all of the tables along the windows were occupied with people with on their laptops and backs to the window 🙄.(not the restaurants fault obv)

29/12/2024: We didn't like the food on our 1st order a few months back. We still gave them a chance, so after a few months later, for the 2nd & 3rd time, we tried different menu, but it didn't go well again, if its not dry, meat will be hard. And for the 4th time just today, which pushed me to have a bad review! The staff are rude, they don't know how to communicate well, they gets irritated if the customer couldn't understand them as they can't speak in english well. They are giving information about the prices and food and they are just saying yes or nodding even if they don't understand it well. This time i liked the food but I won't give a good review for that. Good food is useless if staff are rude. They don't even deserve a 1 star! This is not a real chinese food. Chinese are very friendly except in this place. Not recommended and for the 5th time would never ever come back again! Avoid this place!

17/03/2025: Very long waiting time. Slow service, the workers were relaxed and the customer was waiting. Elsewhere, the work pace is higher. The cleaning of the store would go well, with some exceptions, but the way of cleaning the table and seating was very poor. A rag that had been sprayed a little with spray and greased everything with stim. Somewhere there was ketchup even after they cleaned it and it was impossible to sit there. Upon arrival, the toilets are dirty and broken or in a desolate state. They would like to intensify the cleaning of the toilets more often and with high quality. Mainly to fix the manure. These are photos from the men's toilets. The same women's toilets. Dirt and filth. It could use cleaning. Then the homeless are wrong. If the staff can't handle it, they need to step up. In addition, security would be good. Mainly high-quality management, so that it is effectively controlled by the team

28/03/2025: Order was meant to arrive 60min after order, phoned after 30min late, said food was on the way. Phoned after 45 minutes staff complained I’ve phoned 2x and hang up on me. Mr Chen - never again!
