The best restaurants in Dublin

09/11/2025: Hi recently brought a fudge brownie and I bite into it and to my surprised I bite into a nail. The shop assistant was very accommodating. She replaced the brownie and gave another from a new batch and gave two But she didn’t throw out the old batch which is why I’m writing this review and when I spoke about it , the concern was about other people hearing. She did apologise and said the cake comes out another store. And said they would investigate. I ended up throwing out the two brownies because I was scared to eat them and kinda feel sick thinking about it. Thinking about it has me so disgusted about It. It honestly has turned me off buying from them again. I wish I took a picture but just was so shocked

26/09/2025: I have been a regular costumer in mannings blanchardstown but my experience today was very disappointed I bought 1slice of lemon cake and 3 slice of red velvet but the new young girl staff give me 2 and 3/4 slice of red velvet and 1 slice of lemon cake and I told the staff to change the 3/4 slice of red velvet cake but instead of changing the 3/4 slice of cake she change the perfect slice one. Hoping next time that they will make the costumer very satisfied she is not friendly as well. I paid for the full price amount but not satisfied for the cake that I received.

29/04/2026: Pretty awful meal tonight delivered to me via Uber the meal was completely ruined. While order was covered in golden syrup inside the bag.. banana fritters I ordered were mouldy and black

11/04/2026: If I could leave 0 star than I would, between ordering and delivering food took around 3 hours! Called direct they said it should have been woth us and when confirmed not they said its on its way. Food arrived cold and not what expected. Won't be ordering again.

29/08/2025: We ordered off of just eat, very over priced and ths food did not match up to the descriptions given. Tenders were cold and soggy with little to no seasoning, told we would recieve crinkle cut fries but instead recieved oven chips i could have made myself for €1.50 Was very suspicious when i called the fast food restaraunt i was informed that i was talking to someone who was working in eddie rockets which leads me to believe this place is most likely a 'dark kitchen' probably using leftovers. Save your money and dont buy this absolute muck.

04/02/2026: Girl at the till told me there was nuts in the white chocolate cookies and changed the bag and her gloves when I said my daughter was allergic. Very nice👍

26/05/2026: Went there before 8 pm no staff at the counter waited for 10 mins staff returns and says we are not serving I could see online orders being prepared store is supposed to be open till 10 pm if the staff isn't in a mood to work or server customers due to work fatigue or any other reason try at least to be a bit pleasant to other human being.

11/05/2026: Went there and your one didn’t have a lick of English and couldn’t work her own shop. Disgusting food won’t return…

29/09/2025: The breakfast is good, but the lunch menu is terrible and the same thing every day: pasta, pizza, sandwiches. They look good, but the taste is hard to describe... Why can't there be a proper restaurant on campus? Is it difficult to offer different dishes every day or a semi-buffet restaurant?

05/09/2025: The food is very bad! The problem with Gather&Gather is that we make beautifully looking food, but unfortunately it tastes bad. Also, why don't we have normal food menus like all the other universities? TCD has different lunch menus everyday with at least four options including chicken curry, grilled beef, fish and chips...lots of options and true lunch food!

18/04/2026: Horrible, we were served late and kicked out before we even finished our meal. Unacceptable.

16/04/2026: I recently got a pickle burger meal from here. There was TWO PICKLES. The only good part were the fries and Pepsi. The chicken patty was cold and dry, and the bun tasted stale

24/01/2026: Very poor experience. We were given a voucher as a gift to use at this restaurant. We arrived to the Gibson at 7.45 for our reservation at that time - got seated etc. We got our menus and waited for someone to come back to take our order or even drinks order. We had to get someone’s attention (at this stage it was after 8pm). She came back to us and asked us if we wanted “the good news or the bad news”. She told us the bad news was the kitchen is now closed (??) so we can’t order but she can bring us to the bar and we can use our voucher there. I told her i thought this was absolutely outrageous because someone just sat us down and never told us about having to order before 8, nor did anyone try to get our order in before the deadline, and she said she agreed with me but that she wasn’t the person who greeted us at the start. Food in the bar was fine. We eventually got our first drink at 8.30 - 45 mins after we arrived. When the bill came they knew nothing about our gift voucher which we handed to the initial lady, and they had to go searching around for her and the voucher. We couldn’t help but laugh at how poorly this night had gone. If you’re getting dinner in the area before a concert, would recommend Ruby’s, the Mayson or Cill Airne over this establishment.

10/05/2026: I can say that I would NEVER book this hotel again. The floors were so dirty that you could see how they tried to mop the floor with dirty water The socks stuck to the floors. The bed was one of the WORST beds I have ever slept in, I am not usually sensitive when it comes to beds. But this was the worst I have ever experienced. And the fourth floor for them is like the 9th floor for us in Sweden. The stairs just get narrower and narrower the further you get up to the so-called 4th floor. And carrying a suitcase up all these stairs was far from fun. I would not recommend anyone to book this hotel!!

05/05/2026: Apart from the excellent location, everything else was a disappointment. The rooms are unkempt and extremely noisy. Definitely not recommended.

03/05/2026: bad hygiene practices, ages waiting, and they tried to overcharge me because I had had a drink or two. really bland and oily, please avoid this place.

24/04/2026: It was never good but recently its somehow even worse. You never expected Michealan star from this establishment, but it was at least edible. Despite the rumours, I decide against my better judgement to darken the door of olivios once more. Little did I know this would be a grievous mistake. Prices have risen, yet the quality has plummeted. Staff seemed all too pleased to ruin my overpriced (€8) scabby bag of chips with so much salt. The salt was literally squeezed in as if it was ketchup. If I have heart problems after this encounter, you have a lawsuit on your hands.

07/04/2026: This was probably the worst spice bag ever.The chicken was grey,and didn't look like chicken. It was supposed to be shredded but it wasn't and it was hard. Chips were just okay. It was the most expensive spice bag I've paid for. €10 and it was supposed to large.well it certainly wasn't large it only filled a bowl. The veg which I didn't ask for consisted of greasy onions. I definitely wouldn't recommend that take away ever. You expect nice food when ordering, especially at that price. Food went to the bin.

19/08/2025: didn’t go into the club as it was €70 for ladies entry but €20 for men… however felipe was absolutely incredible. great at his job, could’ve sold sand in a desert, dough to a baker, fence to a next door neighbor or snow to an eskimo. give that man a raise. amen.

22/06/2025: Would highly recommend. In a great location in the city centre, reasonable entry fee and extremely beautiful women that you can have fun with. I came out with more money than i came in due to the blackjack table, and my pecker was running wild in there. Big shout out to felipe who helped me have a good time

12/04/2026: Absolutely 💯 per cent awful man this evening bald man and (Polish maybe) ORDERED 10 bags of chips online got a call to ask if salt and vinegar was wanted....great customer service from a female! Went to collect the man tried to joke about the amount ordered my husband said it was for the guys protesting.....the man didn't take kindly to it and told him 20 mins to wait! 30 mins on still waiting and left with no food husband demanded a refund and left we spent our money elsewhere!!. This place was always amazing the food was wonderful for the last 20 years!! Management need to look at who they're hiring! Never again will I or family members revisit
