10/11/2025: I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the recent service I received. I placed an online order with Chef Ongar, and I believed the payment had been processed. However, the delivery driver informed me that the order was unpaid upon arrival. When I offered to complete the payment online, the driver's demeanor became unprofessional. He raised concerns about an incorrect address, despite my consistent use of my Eircode, and then entered my residence without permission. Following this incident, I contacted Chef Ongar directly to arrange online payment, which I promptly completed. During this conversation, I was informed in a threatening manner that my patronage would no longer be accepted. As a loyal customer at this address for five years, this is my first negative experience with your establishment. Consequently, I will be discontinuing my business with Chef Ongar.

09/12/2025: Order: chicken chop suey with fried noodles. Food: slightly above average chop suey. Not excellent, not bad, but reasonably good. They followed my instruction no celery, and the tray wasn’t overloaded with onion. Noodles were a bit oily but had decent flavour. Overall acceptable, though nothing that stands out. 7/10 Portion: standard size, fully fair for this type of dish. Service: simple packaging – plastic tray for the main, plastic tray for the noodles, basic brown paper bag. No napkins, no chopsticks, no cutlery. Functional but very minimal. 6/10 Price: typical for Dublin, neither cheap nor overpriced. 6/10 Overall: 7/10. Decent value, slightly better than average taste, nothing surprising. Likely to return.

27/12/2025: This is a chipper you really need to try. The fresh cod is massive and lovely. Chips are home made and the delevery service is fast. If you are in the area, make sure you pop in or go online and order. The pizzas are to die for also. Well recommended to everyone.

14/12/2025: Doner kebab had barely any sauce or cabbage was just meat and pitta so dry , burger had the tiniest bit of lettuce and mayo and the chips were soggy

01/01/2026: I visited this Starbucks on New Year’s Day, and the experience was very disappointing. The staff was extremely rude and showed no concern for customer opinions or basic service. I ordered coffee along with pastries, but they didn’t provide any plates or spoons instead they gave us in a paper bag. When I later asked for them, there was no response for about 10 minutes. Eventually, a staff member came back and said all the plates were being washed, without any apology or effort to help. They also didn’t call out names when the coffee was ready, which added to the confusion. Overall, the store was not customer-friendly at all. The staff gave unwelcoming looks whenever I asked for assistance, especially one female staff member who seemed visibly annoyed every time a question was asked. This was a very poor experience, especially for a brand that is known for customer service. I would not recommend this location.

01/01/2026: I politely asked a staff member to add whipped cream to my 7-year-old daughter’s hot chocolate, as it was missing when we received it. Instead of being helpful, the female employee showed a very poor and unprofessional attitude. I felt truly insulted. I am Asian and she is Asian as well (I believe she is Korean), so this does not appear to be racial discrimination. I have been a regular customer, coming here every weekend, but due to this experience, I will never come back.

01/03/2025: This restaurant is labeled as covered even though it's closed, I don't understand at all. Why are we going around in circles now? It's not nice.

08/11/2025: Very disappointing experience. The Szechuan duck was sour, the vegetables were raw, and the rice tasted stale. Overall, the meal was completely uneatable. I won’t be ordering from here again.

19/09/2025: Food is nice but way over priced. €7 for a small tray of curry chips that had a drizzle of sauce ? €7.50 for 5 chicken balls. I won't be ordering again.

10/08/2025: Hi how’s it going my son was in at ur pub today roughly at about 11:30 he was told no straight away by the bouncer lorcan he has had problem there before where he was told to come back in a month or 2 he left it for 3 to 4 months and rang up to confirm he was allowed back he apologised multiple times and was let in last week tonight he asked to speak to manager or head bouncer about why the bouncers wore saying no he then spoke to mark in oriordans and explained everything he then went back around to try speak to them he told them he was let in last week with no problem they then assaulted him and grabbed him by back of his head and twisted his hands he said I can walk by myself please and they continued

11/01/2026: Poorly prepared steak and hygiene issues. Ordered a medium-rare steak and received it medium-well, clearly overcooked on a dirty grill with burnt residue. Replacement arrived 15 minutes later and was still wrong, medium to medium-well, while the other person's food was getting cold so she had to eat alone. For the price, the quality is not acceptable. You can get better steak elsewhere in town, even for less. Chips were cold, and the vinegar bottle was dirty with a fly inside. Yes, a fly inside. Disgusting. What i received here i can make at home on any frying pan. When we arrived, the tables were messy and we were seated anyway. During our entire stay, staff continued setting up around us, constantly moving tables, chairs, and walking by. For a restaurant at this price level, everything should be ready before guests arrive. The constant movement made the experience uncomfortable and not relaxing at all. I took a few weeks to write this review to make sure I wasn't doing it out of anger, but the food was so disgusting that I can't help but feel that way again.

22/12/2025: Had a very disappointing experience here last Friday. Had a reservation at 7.45pm, when we were seated it was never mentioned that the kitchen closed at 8pm. We were also left for 15 minutes without anyone taking our food or drink orders. We finally flagged a member of staff down ourselves, and advised them we were using a voucher. When they validated the voucher they then informed us that the kitchen was closed and we would have to move to the bar area and order off of the bar menu. From this point the service was better, though when we got the bill the voucher had not been applied and we had to share details of the voucher we had saved for it to be added again to our table. We also didn't get our first drinks until 8.30 which was 45 minutes after we arrived. The staff seemed polite and friendly and were doing their best, but all in all it seemed very unorganised and staff not trained to the level they should be. I still can't understand why we were seated at 7.45 and not told the kitchen was about to close and also left without service until the kitchen closed. Cannot see ourselves going back again.
