The best restaurants in Dublin

15/08/2025: What happened to this place?! My wife and I loved coming here every so often for food as we always enjoyed the food and the staff were always friendly. We were in today, after not been here in a long time, to get breakfast. We could not have been more disappointed with what we got. Both of us ordered the smashed avocado and poached eggs on sourdough. What we got were two small eggs on one tiny and thin slice of bread....for almost 14 quid! I get that the cost of living has affected prices everywhere, but portion sizes should not be reduced. No excuses for giving us a thin sheet of paper that was apparently sourdough bread. Daylight robbery. I usually don't leave negative reviews as if I don't like the food, then I simply will not go back. However, when I went to pay for the food, there was a guy serving coffee the whole morning that took my payment. He is a middle aged guy with glasses and grey hair who I assumed was senior staff. He did not say a thing to me which was highly unusual. No how was your meal. No thank you. I even put a few quid in the tip jar in front of him. He didn't once look at me, just simply put my receipt on the counter and walked away. I have never come across the likes of it in any hospitality spot, the height of rudeness. Judging from the amount of recent negative reviews, and the lack of response from the restaurant to address these complaints, it really does seem like this place has gone to the dogs. Shame. Avoid!

08/08/2025: We’ve always enjoyed Noah & Co. in Swords Shopping Centre, so we came to the Liffey Valley branch expecting the same quality. Big mistake. The food was a disaster. I ordered the super salad based on the photo on their website – what I got looked nothing like it. It was unappetising and missing the freshness I expected. I paid an extra €3.50 for grilled chicken, and the portion was laughably small (photo attached). Definitely not worth the money. My partner’s beef burger was even worse – overcooked, dry, and so thin it looked like it had been forgotten on the grill. He described it as the worst burger he’s ever had in Ireland. We didn’t get a photo of the whole thing, but the piece he shared with me (photo attached) says it all. If you value your money and your taste buds, I’d not recommended and I will never set foot in this branch again.

02/08/2025: The spice bag was absolutely rotten the seasoning tasted like the “spice bag seasoning” you’d buy in the butchers or supermarket. Well could have made it at home it would have been nicer cheaper and not harsh on the stomach . I can’t lie the spice bag smelt like 🐟🐟🐟 and not the kind you find in the seas 🤢

16/07/2025: Quiet nice place spacey bakery/coffee shop, selling delicious fresh sourdough bread, cakes, pastries, sandwiches and coffee. I had a polenta cake (really delicious, nicely balanced flavous - adding a photo) and a flat white with almond milk ☕

10/04/2025: Normally the food is lovely, but today I got a fresh cod,and it was black and smelled gave it to the dog the snack box was terrible the chicken was horrible won't be going back there again

06/06/2025: 2 bad experiences with this company. First time I ordered the delivery driver rang to say they were outside went out and no one was there. I rang them back they said they think they were in the wrong estate. That they would be another 2 mins. 20 mins later still no sign of food. Rang the shop the delivery driver answered and said they were putting fresh food on. Happy days. Another 20 mins later the food arrives and it was just reheated crap. Rang them after they said they were replacing the whole meal but when we rang back they said they only replaced the chips which weren’t fresh. Decided to try again rang them and got through to a Chinese woman with very very little English. Who could not understand the address which I spelled out and still couldn’t get it. or what I was ordering. (Kebab meal and garlic cheese chips) nothing too difficult. Just before she hung up the phone she gave out about me to her colleague. Maybe have someone fluent in English to answer the phones will not order again

15/07/2025: Love this coffee shop and bakery! Went in yesterday late afternoon, and had a great chat with the mature lady about it eyes lol!! Very friendly and welcoming:) We took away a wonderful cup of hot chocolate (the best anywhere!) and bought a large gluten free Polenta and Raspberry cake which I have just tasted.... Not cheap but moist and delicious! We'll be back!

01/06/2025: I usually wash my car at the manual car wash here using the self-service machine, but today’s experience was really frustrating — and it ended up costing me €16 just to wash my own car. The setup is outdated. You pay €8 for a ticket, get about a minute of foam, then are expected to scrub the car with a random sponge (no bucket, no suds) before the power washer kicks in. You get roughly six minutes of just water. There’s no way to pause the timer or choose your settings — which makes the whole thing rushed and awkward if you actually want to clean the car properly. In the past, staff would give me two tickets when I explained this, and it was never a problem. Today, I asked for two again. A young attendant told me I’d have to pay for both. I explained I normally get two and why, and she said she’d give me one for now. When I came back in partway through the wash (with the car still dirty), she refused to give me the second unless I paid again. I told her I’d already paid for a wash and hadn’t been able to finish it, but she said she’d call her manager. After checking, she came back and told me I’d have to pay again — or if I didn’t like it, I could go elsewhere. So I ended up paying €16 just to wash my own car properly. Honestly, very poor customer service. A bit of flexibility or even basic understanding would’ve gone a long way. The young attendant might benefit from some proper customer service training. I won’t be back.
