17/06/2025: As an American we were welcomed into this fantastic locals pub. The service and patrons were fantastic. My family and I spent around 90 minutes chatting with the staff and patrons. We arrived as strangers and left as friends. Drinks were wonderful and an easy must see if it's your first time in Dublin.

08/07/2025: A Hidden Gem That’s Camp, Classy & great Craic! Stumbled across this absolute dazzler of a pub tucked into Irishtown Road like it’s been waiting for me my whole life. Picture gorgeous gardens, a dash of old-school charm, and a whole lot of fabulous – all masterfully curated by the glamorous Kathy Gleeson. She’s taken the reins and added a splash of sparkle with comedy, cabaret, and colour in every corner. Locals old and new love it, and rumour has it a certain famous neighbour pops in often... 👀 Honestly? I can’t believe I missed The Vintage until now. Warm, witty, wildly welcoming – go. Just go. You’ll thank me later.

03/07/2025: That was a fun experience. Food (pizza) ordered from a pizzeria across the road and delivered to the table at the bar. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a nice "buzz" in the place. This was my first time here - would go again.

02/07/2025: I’ve been a loyal customer of this pub for the last four years and have always loved the atmosphere and the memories I’ve made here. It really pains me to leave a one-star review, but my recent experience with the new security staff has left me feeling unwelcome and disrespected. When leaving the pub with my friends, we paused briefly at the entrance to say goodbye. The security guard asked us to move, saying we were blocking the entrance, and we complied. However, as I turned to say a quick goodbye to my friends, the security guard mocked and mimicked me, which felt incredibly unprofessional. When I addressed his behavior and said it was rude, he replied, “Well, I warned you twice.” I believe a security guard’s role is to ensure the safety and comfort of all patrons, not to antagonize or mock regular customers who pose no threat to the business or other customers. I’ve never had issues at this pub before, and I hope the management will address this matter. If I see improvements in how customers are treated, I’ll be more than happy to update my review to reflect the pub I’ve come to love.

11/06/2025: The food was genuinely good — no complaints there. However, the overall experience was affected by the attitude of some of the staff. Upon entering, we were immediately asked if we had a reservation, despite the place being mostly empty. While we understand there may have been bookings for later, the way it was communicated — along with a pointed “don’t stay after 7 PM” — felt unnecessarily unwelcoming. As we were preparing to leave, our kids briefly stepped toward the door and we were promptly told to keep them seated, as they shouldn’t be left unattended. We completely understand safety concerns, but this could have been communicated with more grace — especially when it was clear we were on our way out. That said, one staff member stood out with their warm and courteous approach — much appreciated. Unfortunately, the rest seemed to carry themselves as if they were running a luxury five-star hotel. With this kind of attitude, “One Squared” might just live up to its name — stuck at one, instead of growing into something greater.

28/07/2025: Hmm, I don't know about other foods, but never eat tteok ramen. Especially with extra cheese. ㅜ 12 euros, or 20,000 won in Korean currency... It was too salty and thick, so I left. Ah... I should have just had cup ramen. The staff were friendly, and the restaurant was clean. The server seemed to speak Korean.

16/11/2024: We have gone to try the coffee with Bayleys. It's not bad but the 9.5 eur they charge seems exorbitant to me. Small and cozy place.
