The best restaurants in Dublin

31/12/2025: It was our first time at six by nico and it didn't disappoint. The food was very flavorsome and the cocktails were delicious. But what stood out for me was the waiting staff particularly Douglas. Very friendly and helpful, we never had to wait for a plate or drink and the menu was explained to us perfectly. I'd imagine it's a big task coordinating that many courses along with drinks so I appulad all the chefs and staff for a job well done.

30/12/2025: Delicious food, creatively presented and served by knowledgeable and friendly staff. The wine pairing was an additional plus. All in all, a throughly enjoyable evening. We will return.

05/12/2025: A bright and airy cafe with a gentle rhythm that encourages you to slow down almost automatically. The seating is arranged in a way that makes extended visits genuinely comfortable, and the atmosphere never feels hurried or tense. It’s a pleasant space to sit, relax and enjoy uninterrupted time without pressure.

07/11/2025: Decent spread of pastries, great bread, all freshly made in store with the best ingredients available.

19/11/2025: Best chipper in Dublin. Lads are dead on as well

31/10/2025: Top chipper. This says it all: I asked for extra vinegar and they threw in a full bottle of it for free.

16/09/2025: This Pub is amazing! Stopped in for a quick pint and ended up back the next day for live music. Staff was super friendly and so were the locals. Definitely make this a stop when in the area.

29/12/2025: The restaurant serves good quality Greek cuisine. Exceptional falafel, and the mixed gyros served on skewers are curious and unique, perhaps just not too generous. Soft and succulent pita bread. Friendly and attentive service. Excellent value for money for Dublin: we didn't drink alcohol and ordered one dish each.

29/12/2025: The service here has been consistently good over several years- friendly, welcoming, helpful, efficient. The menu appears to have been scaled back - perhaps just for the Xmas season - and the food is still tasty. Decent selection of wines too. Have been several times in last few years and would definitely come back again. Doesn't look much from outside and might not be crowded, but on a par with many more popular spots

06/02/2026: I was served by Anna, Katie and Reece, excellent servers who provided good quality customer service. Food was good, and moderately priced, very much a sports pub vibe so if that’s what you’re into it’ll be perfect for you

04/02/2026: Second time in here now and it’s still brilliant. Lovely friendly staff, great atmosphere, AND the food is top notch for the price. Busy enough but well run and well worth it. Won’t be my last visit.

07/01/2026: We hadn't booked in advance, so we were seated at two different tables (there were seven of us). However, there was a large table next to us that could have accommodated us, but they preferred to seat three people… lol. The service was quite slow, and the waitress wasn't very friendly. It was rather cold in the restaurant, and there was a draft where we were seated. The fish and chips was very good (though quite expensive for fish – almost €20). Those who ordered the beef burger were unpleasantly surprised to find the patties were disgusting… so the burgers were really not good. The waiters took a long time to clear our tables and give us the dessert menu. So, we finally left without dessert because we couldn't afford to wait any longer!

29/01/2026: I've been to The Elphin Bar for a number of events, including Christmas party as well as dinner with family and friends. Food is amazing , atmosphere is fantastic, the staff always ready to help . They even improvised a non alchool cocktail for myself and my friends. I would 100% recommend to everyone else!

24/09/2025: I've been staying a number of days at a hotel near Hansel and Gretel, and have found this great little bakery and coffee shop a convenient stop as I'm walking to various tourist sites. The pastries are freshly baked and very good, and the coffee (which may be supplied by a coffee shop chain called Ariosa) is very good. Unlike other nearby coffee shops, Hansel and Gretel has no seating either inside or outside. But if a takeaway cup of coffee and a pastry is your thing, this is a great choice.

01/02/2026: Even though it gets busy, the service was well managed and attentive. Lovely historic interior, good tea selection, and fresh pastries. A classic Dublin cafe experience worth slowing down for.

31/01/2026: Myself and my fiancé were here in December for breakfast. We queued for 15 mins just to get into the waiting area. Then we waited for another 5/10 mins there. We were eventually seated and given menus. The server took our order and we had the coffees relatively quickly but they were long gone by the time the food arrived. If it could be called food. We waited over 25 mins to get our food and it was disgraceful. The whole meal was cold. The bacon looked like it had been cooked on a radiator, the sausage was pink in the centre and cold as was the rest of the breakfast. And this wasn’t just for our table as the table behind us had the same problem. We were offered another breakfast but we had an appointment to get to and due to the fact it took us so long to get service we couldn’t accept the offer. Avoid

01/08/2025: Off the beaten tourist path, little cafe. Workers are beyond friendly. Place is filled with locals (good sign) and wondering tourists. Solid scone and coffee for me. My son’s breakfast sandwich was solid as well. Compared to the crazy prices around the area, this was a 5 star stop for a no frills friendly breakfast. If you’re expecting something really fancy, this ain’t the place for you.

31/10/2025: Nice pub for a quiet pint! Relaxed atmosphere!! Friendly staff!! A little bit more expensive that other pubs in the area, but it's a nicer pub!

20/05/2025: Second time having my son’s birthday here, unfortunately I won’t be booking again. The man at reception was so lovely and helpful! But after that it went down hill, the party “host” was on his phone leaning against the wall while kids played bubble football for the full 45 mins. The only time he lifted his head off his phone was to help a child that called him to help with the bubble. I went back into the man In reception and asked was the hosting to do any games with the kids, after this he went out to talk to him . After that the “host” took all the lads to the party room, came back with food and then left. The staff in the bar and the man in reception were so lovely and helpful, but the party “host” had no interest to be there, let alone the party host. Please give the kids that are there for a party, your time and attention.

28/04/2025: Excellent service and a very friendly atmosphere staff are second to none always a pleasure to be there.

21/01/2026: I've been here twice with my class. I liked it. The first time I paid €16 for a burger. The second time, the school paid for it. I can't say I chose anything. I was brought in and had a decent meal. It was okay. I'd have liked a pint, but the teachers wouldn't let me.

17/01/2026: The best fish and chips in Dublin! We've eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. The staff and the owner are very friendly and welcoming.
