The best restaurants in Dublin

01/09/2026: Discovered this place on the offchance. Great atmosphere. Soup of the day and fresh brown bread very tasty. Turkey and ham was done to perfection. Nothing fancy, just good nourishing and satisfying home cooking.

30/08/2026: 👎🏻👎🏻Absolutely shocking service, I was there last night in the bottom floor and the two older men in shirts behind the bar were so rude absolutely no customer service, the bar wasn't even busy in the slightest and they were completely blanking me, finally they came up and then were very rude to say “WHAT DO YE WANT”, to which I said excuse me and he walked away from me, I can’t recall his name, but he was an oldish guy I would guess in his 50s and he looks like a manager, this was on Saturday(last night), and then thankfully an Indian bar man down stairs who spoke not so great English and was way more helpful than the Irish guys on the downstairs bar. I would look into this because we had a large group there last night and would all not return to this bar because of the poor customer service, thank you.

08/09/2026: The saleswoman was very nice and offered us different flavors to try until we decided, but it's a bit expensive.

12/09/2026: I rang ahead to ask if they only take reservations, and I was told, "No, come on down, we keep tables open for walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis." Yet, when we arrived, the place was completely empty, but we were refused a table. Apparently, every single empty table was going to be filled within 15 minutes. When we explained what we were told on the phone, we were met with, "Yeah, but that's only if the tables aren't booked." I wouldn't bother going back here, whether booking or walking in. It’s one of those places that treats people like cattle—just get your money and get you out. Very poor management.

01/08/2026: Yesterday had 2 girls that served and they were absolutely so fab thanks girls !!!

23/07/2026: I didn't see their name tags but there was a woman and guy at the counter at 5:33 who were relly nice and sweet. I didn't know about the card only policy and they were 100% ok to with as I went to get my card. Relly hope I run into them agine and they have a great day, also if the manager reading this please give them a raise 👍

29/08/2026: My wife and I were in town from South Carolina, USA for a few days and wanted to try a local restaurant, specifically the Fish and Chips. The staff was amazing - fast, courteous and efficient. They presented the food well, but the fish and chips had zero flavor. It took tons of salt/pepper and vinegar to get any flavor. The atmosphere was basic, just small tables in a tile-walled room

06/09/2026: Brilliant, just as Ka Shing nearby. Great value too. I wish I tried it earlier, I was just suspicious of the 4.2 reviews, but personally, I’d rate this place at 4.8 or more! It’s just so good. The prawn cheung fun, the squid scallop dumplings, even the stir fried mushrooms were perfect… Seems this restaurant is a bit of a Dublin institution, having been founded in 1991. Highly recommended. Great service, and I love the retro decor, it’s comforting unlike new restaurants which are all about fancy interiors but overpriced mid food. Will be back here soon!

06/09/2026: (march 2025 - 4 stars) literally nothing bad to say about this place. love it. har gow, siew mai are amazing. char siew and siew yok were amazing as well. wow their ngau yuk hor fun was phenomenal. felt like i travelled through space and was back at home. unfortunately liu sha is a hard no go - nowhere near runny and was just a custard. i mean if you like custard buns why not (sept 2026 - 3 stars) came back and the standard has dropped…. 小笼包 and har gow stole the show for us. however, xiu mai & their 瘦肉皮蛋粥 was so lacklustre and bland. sio bak was really good but charsiew was quite subpar. i feel like there are quite a few hits and misses here now. nb you will be charged €3 for ginger which is outrageous because how can a chinese establishment not offer ginger and vinegar together with their xiao long bao. prices are on the higher end as well.

25/08/2026: Great coffee and very helpful staff. I had a delicious cortado. Best coffee in Ireland so far.

01/09/2026: I am convinced this is the greatest lamb shawarma in the world Every time I have this dish, I almost cry tears of joy I would walk all the way from Belfast if I had to, for this dish May God bless the guy that invented this genius combo.. of a naan bread & lamb shawarma..

30/08/2026: This restaurant is a gem💎 it's not a usual 'kebab shop.it's a different world.So you think order for example a lamb and chicken breast kebab and it's not rolled into your usual Kebab. You are given the most amazing and delicious kebab late.deconstruted if you l There is queue oftaxi drivers every night and if Cabbies like this place on a 12 hour shift i reckon it's a seriously brilliant sgn. Staff are sound,!oh and you get a plate of salad, a chilli dip,a garlic sauce and either rice or Naan. Its stunning food

17/07/2026: Really disappointed with our experience. We booked well in advance for a group but when we arrived last Saturday 11th July nothing had been set up. The host was rude and unhelpful, and after a lot of back and forth he finally agreed to move the tables together. We also only found out on the day that the kitchen was no longer serving food, despite me asking about platter options beforehand in the same email thread that the booking was confirmed. If we’d been told in advance, we would have booked somewhere else. The only positive was that the waiters and waitresses were really friendly and looked after us well. Such a shame that poor communication and the host’s attitude spoiled what should have been a great group booking.

13/07/2026: Food not great... childs portion chicken burger and chip. Cocktails ok. Waitress was lovely however.

26/07/2026: Have been here twice and will definitely the coming back. The food is unreal. I would highly recommend the veg clay pot and prawn dumplings. They also do a prawn spice bag and it is out of this world.
