31/12/2024: Seen this bar on TikTok, the Guinness looked unbelievable and a whopper price of €5. Had to try it for myself, me and two mates ventured out to it. Greeted with a friendly welcome by the locals, one of the best Guinness in town. Shocked by it. Would be back next time in around this area, don’t believe the stereotypes of this place, down to earth people and owner was so sound.
13/11/2024: I took up Noctors recommendation from YouTuber "Honest Places", and wasn't disappointed. Only €5 a pint of Guinness, friendly staff and locals. A great pit stop on the way to 3 Arena, and change of scenery from the usual tourist trap spots around Temple Bar.

04/05/2025: Ordered a vegan Pad Thai and there wasn’t a single piece of tofu. Very few pieces of vegetables, mostly just dry noodles. This take away is expensive and quality is quite poor.

17/05/2025: Food was very poor. Chicken burger was burnt, smash burger was so-so taste wise, and the fries were bland and limp (possibly cooked and left sitting for some time). Service was really slow and you had to make a decent effort to try and get a server to come over to the table. There was just a lack of care given by the staff. We had to ask for cutlery and sauces. Not the first time we've had bad service. I honestly don't know how the owners/management don't
read these reviews and see something needs to change. It's as if the staff are actively trying to avoid serving customers. Drinks, as always, take an absolute age to be served. Won't be back.

23/05/2025: I was visiting Tilestyle and Carlson windows with my husband and we needed lunch. We were recommended to go to Joshs Place.
What a find amongst a desert of industrial chaos.
We had a top class lunch of Butternut squash soup, two coffees and delicious chocolate biscuit cake. All generous portions, for €25 . Unbelievable value.
The restaurant and toilets were spotless and the main courses of stew, curry, roast looked delicious.as did the sandwiches.
The staff were efficient and friendly.
What a find.

10/10/2024: Devastated to say after five years of just loving this place, I passed by last night and it has permanently closed. What a great crew and super neighbourhood restaurant. Gutted. It seems increasingly impossible to run a business in Dublin due to runaway costs.

Tuve un. Plato de pasta de cangrejo y gambas que era fantástico mientras que mi esposa tenía pollo que era suculento.
Los precios son muy justos y no desorbitados.
Esta es una joya de un restaurante que hace todo bien con un gran servicio y excelente comida.
Chef podría ganar Masterchef.
Volveremos pronto. Muy, muy recomendable.

13/06/2025: While the service is quick and friendly, the lattes taste a little too burnt and acrid. It’ll do, but won’t be back for another. They’re one of the few cafes in the area to open as early as they do though.
07/06/2025: Lovely little cafe in a quiet side street. I had a delicious mocha coffee (small) and baked eggs with fried chorizo and sourdough toast. Great breakfast to start the day!

19/05/2025: We had something to eat here awhile back.It was dire.Id forgotten to review it and it was only when I read they refused service to a family who were at the pro Palestine demonstration and told them to go to Palestine that I remembered the place.
