30/07/2025: Waited 40 mins for drinks, no joke. Asked to split the bill – one for food, one for drinks ‘cause it was for work – and they flat out refused.
At the end they wouldn’t even serve us at the table. Went up to the bar and yer man just turned his back like we weren’t even there, pretending to be busy.
Staff are a bunch of teenagers who haven’t a clue. Place is a mess. Wouldn’t waste me time again.

05/08/2025: I recommend this place to everyone as it’s one of my favourites. But after booking and driving into town we were told on arrival that electricity had gone and they “attempted to phone” us. They then reassured us that they would not charge a no-show fee… firstly, mobile phones function fine using their battery power - a text would have been fine to let us know what was happening. Secondly, is not charging us a no-show fee supposed to be a gesture of good will?!? Really disappointed by this.
26/07/2025: Tonight my wife and I experienced the best meal we have ever had. The service from start to finish was incredible and the wine we had (which was all on tap) complemented the food perfectly. The highlight dishes of the night were the steak tartare and the halibut. Could not recommend this place more if I tried. The food, the drinks and the service were all 5 stars!!!!

24/04/2025: I had the beef stew and bar none in was the best Beef Stew I have ever had. They even offered more once I had finished which truly shocked me. This pub/Restaurant is a must visit if in Dublin. I wish we were staying longer so we could come again before leaving.

27/04/2025: A nice pop in coffee and sandwich spot. Usually 11€ a fair amount of seating but most order o go. And near a small park area in Spencer dock.
Only negative... didn't check my order food was thrown together with x2bones.
If I ate in I'd be going for a refund .

12/07/2025: The staff is very nice and the food came quick. The fillet steak is very well cooked and served with fries. I am only giving this place 3 stars for one reason and that is the fact that the music coming from the speakers is so loud you can’t hear the person beside you unless they were to shout. This really increases the volume of the overall noise in the restaurant. I recommend this place highly, but it would be greatly appreciated if you could have the music playing quietly in the background.

11/05/2025: Fantastic pasta, especially the stir fry chicken and veg. Cheap and fast food that’s freshly made. Been coming here for two years and the lady with glasses is super helpful and friendly.
03/02/2025: Delicious! I'm surprised, we ordered home delivery and everything was very good! I recommend the carbonara pasta, it comes with a lot of bacon.

10/07/2025: I visited today with my husband, and I was very disappointed with the food we received. I ordered a roast beef dinner it was so bad the meat had a bad taste off it and was so dry it wasn’t freshly cooked and was put in the microwave on high and reheated it was the worse food I have ever been served I would never eat here again!

05/07/2025: Una experiencia espantosa. Aparte de los precios, el personal es increíblemente grosero. Pedí que cerraran las puertas que daban al exterior debido al fuerte viento y ella se negó diciendo que había clientes afuera. ¡Habían dos! Los 20 clientes que se encontraban en el interior quedaron congelados y tres mesas se movieron debido al frío.
05/07/2025: El ambiente es frío y la comida es cara y no especialmente apetitosa. El café también suele estar frío. Desafortunadamente, un miembro del personal fue extremadamente grosero con mi amigo. Evitaría este lugar a toda costa.

10/07/2025: Came for the vegan Sunday roast and was not disappointed! So glad we tried The Botanic, the vegan menu was lush and we were well taken care of :)
The staff were super efficient and friendly, and the food was delicious.
