The best restaurants in Dublin

15/12/2025: We were here pre theatre the last Thursday in November we had not booked and got the last table outside. Staff were super helpful food was delicious and such a speedy service. The rigatoni with fennel sausage was excellent

14/12/2025: Lovely place , great location and views of the area and the canal . Great service , Alex and the team so good and kind :) We went for brunch time and loved the “Eggos Mexicalos” and the cocktails 🐶Dog friendly at the lovely front area We’ll be back as soon as possible

10/09/2025: Great Guinness,friendly staff.Was my grandads local so went in to raise a Guinness or two for his anniversary.

08/09/2025: The barman is as thick as two planks. I asked could I charge my phone and he sent me around the shop to buy a plug. I did that and he plugged it in. I then went outside and crossed the road because my crippled friend was in the park and he followed me with the phone and the charger to give it back, instead of just leaving it to charge. Couldn't just say "No, we don't charge phones". Couldn't just leave it for a minute after plugging it in. It was very clear I just needed to charge the phone. I bought a pint of Guinness to keep them happy. Just either unintelligent or ignorant. Probably a mixture of both. Just say no and I would have asked in the South Strand next door. Smarter barmen in there.

08/12/2025: I’m sorry to say that my experience at this bar was very disappointing. The service was far below expectations: the staff showed little attention or professionalism, and the overall quality — from the service to the atmosphere — was poor. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place and hope they improve in the future.

12/08/2025: El ascenso llegó justo a la hora de apertura del almuerzo, así que más o menos tenía elección de asientos. En un comedor amplio y acogedor. Precio fijo El almuerzo de 3 platos fue acogedor y todo estaba delicioso, con bebidas frescas. Terminado con café y capuchino. El personal era encantador, desde la bienvenida hasta la salida. Así que en resumen un agradable interludio.

26/07/2025: Tuvimos una deliciosa cena en Fallon y Byrne comedor. El menú incluía 3 copas de vino cada una, especialmente elegidas para complementar cada plato. En realidad una gran relación calidad-precio, especialmente por la calidad de la comida y el vino. El servicio desde el saludo a la llegada y durante toda la comida fue impecable. Definitivamente hecho para sentirse especial, pero todavía un ambiente agradable muy relajado. Absolutamente recomiendo una visita.

24/07/2025: So *this* is what proper fish n chips is supposed to taste like. I've never been the biggest fan of the dish, disappointed numerous times, but this is a rare instance that the internet overlords of 'must visit' places is actually correct. I tried to do a walk-in when they opened, but they were already booked for the afternoon. Luckily, the nice young lady offered an evening reservation, which I took. It ended up being quite relaxed and not crowded at about 17:00, so I was happy I took this option. The haddock was about as perfect as I imagine fish n chips should be. The chips were quite good as well. And the tartare sauce is like opium. Had to get an extra heap of the stuff (it costs quite a bit extra). Friendly staff... not a cheap outing, but well well worth it over that other Dublin chain restaurant that will remain nameless.

21/11/2025: Lovely hotel with nice staff, but it's over priced I believe for the quality of the rooms, TVs without modern smart facilities, etc. I also paid €28 per night for valet parking, but valet really means you just have to queue at reception to give them your key, give them 15mins notice to get your car back and both times I gave notice I was waiting much longer; once because they were busy and had another car to move first (I don't see how that added so much time) and the second time because there was a delivery truck in the bay - it's far too expensive for the service.

10/09/2025: Unfortunately, the old-fashioned charm also has its pitfalls. You hear a lot without needing to. Milk that's boiled over shouldn't be left next to the coffee machine. But 95% of the time, the staff are super friendly.

04/07/2025: After seeing some chatter about the smallest restaurant in Dublin, I wanted to taste it for myself. The menu is concise and ingredient driven with about 10 items. Wines were by the glass and we started with a Txakoli and then a lighter Nebbioli. We had 8 of the dishes offeres today and had the Chef Ken and his wife Gwen bring them out as they saw fit. The clean flavors and quality ingredients was apparent from the start. Come with a great attitude and an open mind if you can reserve 1 of the 8 seats availble. It is an experience worthy of anyone who loves food. Cheers.

03/12/2025: A very good place for lunch at a reasonable price and with generous portions. The soup is excellent, and I recommend the duck.

25/11/2025: Consistently phenomenal food with great reasonable prices. This has become a go to spot for my friends and I when we’re in town. I highly recommend getting the Jajangmyeon with pork or tofu. I love that they give you a heart shaped egg, so cute. I’ve had a few other dishes and they’ve all been amazing!! You can also get a drink from the shop inside which is great as well.Definitely would recommend!! Amazing place!!

17/11/2025: Vadims is the kindest barman we’ve ever met. His dedication to hospitality is unmatched. We came to this pub because of the reviews for how great he was and they absolutely did not disappoint. We were only in Dublin for 3 days but we managed to visit this pub 2/3 days due to his kindness. We wish him and his wife the absolute best in life as they are so deserving ❤️

04/11/2025: The Latvian bar man in this pub should be a national treasure! He was so funny and friendly, he showed us some magic tricks and told us all the great places to visit in Dublin, he really knew his stuff!

03/12/2025: Recently organised a work party at this hotel, and everything was fantastic from start to finish. Ashling was incredibly accommodating during the planning stages and made the whole process so easy. On the day, Mags was wonderful—everything was perfectly organised and ran smoothly. The venue itself is lovely, and the Christmas decorations created such a warm, festive atmosphere. Great value too! We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended.

08/10/2025: I’ve been coming here regularly to play pool. Had the pleasure of meeting the new manger Colin last night. He made me feel very welcome and is definitely bringing a bit of needed life and spirit into this spot ! Looking forward to coming back

28/09/2025: Staying at the Grand Canal Hotel, we opted for this place for dinner. Very good service, a quiet atmosphere, and good food.
