The best restaurants in Dublin

28/06/2026: Not immediately obvious to passers-by this cosy cafe with calm and laidback atmosphere sits in a bright atrium-style space inside the Chester Beatty Gallery building. It serves Middle Eastern and Mediterranean-inspired food, including Palestinian moussaka, Moroccan tagine, various salads, and daily specials, along with something sweet like homemade cakes & baklava. Vegan and gluten-free options are available. Our choice: Meat moussaka and chicken with rice Check for two (only mains, tap water provided): 33 EUR Overall verdict: 8/10 — a good option for a quick, healthy, and hearty lunch, but not somewhere I would go specifically go unless I was already visiting the museum. And definitely a must do after visiting the Chester Beatty exhibitions.

12/06/2026: I paid 17 euros for a small plate with some shrimps with salad, They refused to serve me again, it's shameful.

28/06/2026: Absolutely dreadful place. Ordered a drink at the start waited 45 mins to come over . The waitress clearly could see there was no drinks on the table and juts continued to stare as us! The food was bang average and very pricey. Never again will I come to this place

27/06/2026: We have visited this restaurant several times, and this time we came to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. We chose the set menu for two, which included a starter, a main course, and a bottle of wine. The goat cheese salad and the spicy chicken wings were absolutely delicious and definitely the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the main courses were disappointing. The chicken was dry and lacked flavor, while the pork belly was partly rubbery and quite difficult to chew. On the positive side, the service was excellent. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit. The restaurant itself is also very cozy, especially during the summer when you can sit by the open terrace windows and enjoy the atmosphere. Overall, while the starters and service were outstanding, we hope the quality of the main courses can be improved, as we have always enjoyed visiting this restaurant.

01/07/2026: We celebrated my sister's hen party on Saturday on the Canal Boat Restaurant and hired the boat for 2 hours. It was such a brilliant experience from start to finish and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Big shout out to Jaya who was there to answer all my emails to organise the event. She was also there on the day and was such a pleasure to deal with. The whole team were so helpful and friendly. The Canapes served were delicious. We hooked our music up to the sound system via Bluetooth and we all had a ball, an experience not to be forgotten and it's all down to the team. If you are planning a private event, don't think twice, book the Canal Boat Restaurant, you won't be disappointed.

05/06/2026: Wonderful! We went to celebrate our anniversary and the food was delicious. I'd like to mention that all the staff were so kind and attentive, especially Eliana who spent the whole evening looking after us. Thank you so much, guys, you're the best! ♥️♥️

31/07/2026: Lovely cafe/bakery. We had coffee & cakes (huge selection) which were fab 😋 but I spotted some lunch plates and they also looked great. A lovely spot and I would recommend 👍🏼

28/04/2026: Lovely staff. Average food. The quality of the steak matches the one from the supermarket. The only thing that makes it a bit more special is that you get it done on the stone. Some roasted veggies could be added as it only comes with mash/chips/baked potato (literally one).

16/06/2026: ***UPDATE*** I initially gave one star based on the below experience. However, the hotel manager and its employees reached out and could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Our room was upgraded to a quiet area, we were given beautiful treats to enjoy, along with a personal note of apology. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay welcoming and pleasant. We sincerely appreciate everything they have done for us. “If sleep is important to you, do not stay here!!! Our room is on the street side and I feel like I’m outside. There is no noise barrier; We are staying here now, have 2 more nights to go. There’s constant yelling and screaming outside, every car, every horse, every person going by.can be heard as if our windows were open. We also had a horrible experience at the bar last evening. We came in from the outside, had jackets on. We were told there were no seats available even though I’m looking at 4 empty seats. We advised we were guests of the hotel and then told to wait in the lounge for 10 minutes and he’ would come and get us. That never happened. We went back in the bar and we clearly were forgotten. Apologies galore, but too late, the impression was already made. The bartender makes a good drink, but was slamming things around as if angry, and rude as ever. This Green experience really is more than a disappointment”

13/06/2026: We had such a lovely stay at The Green Hotel while we were in Dublin. The location was great and St. Stephen’s Green is so beautiful to be right across from. The room we stayed in was in the newer part of the hotel and it was very nice. We had no complaints about this stay whatsoever and would absolutely stay here again.

09/06/2026: Gorgeous food, good service and pricing was fair for the area...on the loud side so probably not great for anyone who gets over stimulated by noise.

22/07/2026: Worst cinema experience ever. Went to see The Odyssey there because it was the only 70mm screening. I was so excited. About 30 minutes in, the screen goes black and it fails to come on for a good few minutes. That was fine until a few moments later, an old frozen scene blocked the view of the current scenes. We could hear what was happening without seeing it, essentially getting the movie spoiled. They failed to fix it for about ten minutes so I left. I wouldn't have minded if they had a technical issue but they could have paused the movie so we didn't miss such an epic scene. Absolute joke. Got a refund and went to see it in IMAX. Great movie.

28/04/2026: I really liked the open buffet concept here. It allowed me to try so many dishes in one visit. The mutton curry was tender and full of flavor.

30/06/2026: Absolutely brilliant place. Cool collection of great wine, cheese, teas , coffee and more. The staff and lovely lady who served me was AWESOME and Kind. Will be back for sure! :)

27/06/2026: The service really makes this place! You get greeted and taken to a table which is so lovely. Table service even if you just want drinks. Thank you to the staff for being so welcoming! Also a really good price for a pint in Dublin!

30/05/2026: Had a Jameson mixed drink, think he forgot the whiskey. Zero smell, zero taste but well paid. Went to the club on the opposite site and ordered the same drink. Hypothesis proved. Charming pub though and friendly server. But 10€ for a drink that tastes of nothing but ginger ale is a joke.
