Carluccio's
Dublin
12/12/2025: Xmas party. 1 hour delay, crammed 20 of us in space of 10. Cold food, undercooked potatoes. Fatty chewy steak. Awful experience
12/12/2025: We stopped by a moment ago and politely asked if a table for three was available. A member of staff (probably the owner himself) rudely shooed us away for no reason.
Kudos to you for your professionalism.

Ryan's Sandymount House
Dublin
13/11/2025: great for before or after match pints
09/09/2025: This use to be a lovely pub - I remember I use to pop in for a pint and a sambo on a quiet Sunday afternoon as a hangover curer! The lady that use to serve me was so lovely and friendly, as well as the thin bald man. I remember I said to my family we should go down sometime for a sandwich with the dog as I noticed they allowed dogs on their premises. I then brought my elderly mother down with the dog and we sat down and were met by big bell-ied bald man that was horrible to us! Very rude and nasty and d poor dog even hated it! Big belly-ied boy was too lazy to serve a sambo! I went back two or three times after this and every time that big belly boy was there, you’d know you’d have a terrible experience! Pub would be better without him! Please leave lad, patrons do not like you

BuJo
Dublin
06/12/2025: Delicious food, great staff.
We arrived 12pm Saturday for a quick sit in bite. They were so accommodating! The beef burger meal and chickenburger meal were delicious!
06/12/2025: The chicken wings were absolutely delicious. The blue cheese sauce went perfectly with the wings. Excellent service and great background music. I highly recommend BuJo to everyone; it's a very family-friendly place.

The Tower Cafe
Dublin
21/09/2025: We had breakfast here while we waited to go on the historical tour of the cemetery.
The food is reasonably-priced and cooked to order. I do like that they allow you to choose between 3-5 options for the Irish breakfast.
It's worth a stop if you are in the area for the prices alone!
30/08/2025: Lovely cafe. Good selection. Great spot to sit and reflect when visiting the cemetery.

Essence Patisserie
Dublin
18/10/2025: Really good experience, good quality food and great staff
18/10/2025: Cosy place with s really good environment. We asked for a mocha and it was 4.25 each. Really good price. But when we tried it, it tasted like a flat white. I don't know if they didn't do it properly, it had not much chocolate or what, but it was such a disappointment. Good looks love though, even though we didn't tried it this time.

The Lord Edward
Dublin
14/12/2025: Old, cosy traditional pub, with genuinely nice staff (shout out to young dark haired bartender who had the patience of a saint). Great buzzy atmosphere. Will call again!
05/12/2025: The Lord Edward made it onto my “Dublin Pub Crawl” list thanks to a bartender at the Guinness Gravity Bar who swore it had a great pint of Guinness and insisted we check out the upstairs. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the upstairs was closed. Still no idea what is up there or why it was recommended.
This is a small pub with a unique bar layout and plenty of age behind it. And by “age,” I mean it has not seen a remodel in a very, very long time. The men’s room is basically just a wall with a drain on the floor (which I found highly amusing), and according to the bartenders, the women’s bathroom used to be a broom closet that was converted once women were allowed into pubs. That alone tells you everything you need to know about how much this place has changed over the years. Very authentic and cool in its own way.
We stopped in late on a Thursday night. The crowd was wrapping up, so we managed two rounds before last call. The bartenders signal last call the old school way, by flicking the lights on and off. Gave me a good laugh.
As for the pint… it was okay. One bartender knew what he was doing and poured a proper Guinness. The other poured it the way Americans do when they have no idea what they are doing, and he did it consistently.
I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The Lord Edward and got plenty of laughs out of the whole experience. The company was great and the pub absolutely has character. Now, if we can only get that one bartender on board with pouring Guinness correctly…
We still want to know what is upstairs.

Leo Burdock's
Dublin
13/12/2025: Take always only. Ordered fresh cod and chips and the fish was definitely exceptional. Probably the best I have tasted although the fries could be improved. Would still come back nevertheless and also recommend this place as a must try
30/11/2025: This was “good” because I’m in Dublin. Have I had better fish and chips? Sure. The guy behind the counter was very friendly. The place is crowded most of the time because it’s in Temple Bar.

The Port House
Dublin
14/12/2025: All first class.
All types of beers on tap.
09/12/2025: The place is small, has a great atmosphere, and is centrally located. I recommend booking a table as it's quite popular. Between two people, we spent a total of €79, which is considerably more than I would spend at any other restaurant. The difference is justified by the fact that other options are junk food, while these are typical Spanish tapas. And very good ones at that. I will definitely return.
If you order croquettes, be aware that a plate of croquettes only comes with three.
The staff were very friendly, and we didn't have to wait long for all the dishes to arrive.

Jojo's Of Manor Rd
Dublin
11/11/2025: I stopped in to grab a hot drink on my way to a job interview and it was so lovely. Staff were so lovely, greeted me genuinely, made interesting conversation with me. The inside is homey, a litter bit cluttered (which I love) and entirely community orientated. A lovely hot chocolate too!
05/11/2025: 5 star food. 5 star staff. This restaurant is a hidden gem, stumbled on this restaurant yesterday, so glad I found this place, the service and food was top class. Very busy but service was still very efficient. Restaurant is spotless. If you're in this area, give it a try, you won't be disappointed also priced very reasonable
