25/07/2026: This is an experienced chef (20 yrs) , entrepreneur and athlete's (calisthenist) review: We went there around 2.30pm. I don't know where to start. - tables were dirty with birds poos never cleaned in life I can say -few lads and teens pretending to be their chefs with their daily hoodies and track suits who meet 0 requirement of Food Safety and Hygiene requirements -their kitchen was as filthy as you can imagine - drinks were not in the fridge. they gave to us possibly directly from the case. Don't think they have fridge -No one knows what is going on behind the scene in your food and in their kitchen -I don't know how they are allowed like that by HSE inspectors -Nothing is grilled. It was not flame, char or flame grilled. IT IS HOT PLATE FRIED. COOKING SOMETHING ON HOT PLATE IS FRYING NOT GRILLING. Please remove the flame logo off your sign. - zero sanitary and hygiene care seen around -their prep area and stainless steel by the fryer were as moldy and filthy as you can imagine the list goes on - all sauces were from Sysco and Musgrave. They do not make any sauces. They put stickers on their dips and pretend it is their signature sauce. FOOD: We ordered classic burgers as described. They seemed around 50% fat 50% meat and some black pepper. Nothing else was in marination. Whether the meat was fresh or not or from when, God knows. ''the caramalized'' onion was pre cooked. Despite around 50% animal fat, lotsa of frying oil, cheese were added on the top patty. The beef was simply fried in oil I can say. Finally, this was given to us. The excess animal fat was smelling strongly disgusting.One bite, it was horrible. It could be perfect food for obese and junk food eating people not for people who know what food and what and how to eat food. we kept cleaning ours hands with wet tissue in the car. but we could not. we had to use perfume spray to kill the animal fat odour. Finally, I have to say, we WILL FAST FOR 72 hours but prefer not to eat such a junk food from such a filthy street atmosphere and such unprofessional and un-cleanly dressed staff, teens! IF YOU WANT TO DO AUTHENTIC AND PROPERLY PROFESSIONAL BURGER, THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD DO: FREE RECEIPE Marination: use 20% fat, 80% lean. use black, cumin, cajun spice, 7 spice, ground coriander, fresh coriander, fresh tomato tiny dice, tiny white diced onion, fresh garlic cloves not paste, salt, mix them and let them rest as least a hour. -Grill it ON FIRE/FLAME not HOT plate -toast your burger buns -make your suaces

04/07/2026: came across this place called hunger Hub in sandyford, was craving a smash burger so I thought why not. I'm not kidding I've had burgers from meat castles, five guys, Bleeker, black bear, shake shack, high joint, manna, supernova, junk, bake street literally can go on with all the places I've tried and I can honestly say in terms of actual meat flavour and taste this is probably one of my top 5. I had there double smash along with chicken strips and I was shocked by how good that burger was and for a fraction of a price with other places. Also if you go up the stairs there a great drinks places aswell. Absolutely phenomenal burger definitely visiting again

07/09/2026: I visited Boojum this evening to get a burrito bowl, and unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience with one of the girls serving there. At the time, there were only two customers in the restaurant, including me, so it was not particularly busy. The girl was initially serving another customer, but in between serving them, she repeatedly asked me what I wanted. I clearly told her that I wanted a burrito bowl, but she asked me multiple times even though I had already answered. What made the situation uncomfortable was that there was another customer as well, and she did not ask them what they wanted in the same way she was repeatedly questioning me. Later, another girl took over and served me. When I went to the till, the first girl asked me if I wanted a drink. I said yes, and because I wasn’t sure whether I was supposed to take the drink myself from the shelves, I asked if I could take it from there. She either didn’t hear me properly or misunderstood me and then asked again, in what came across as a very rude and dismissive manner, whether I wanted a drink. I again said yes, I wanted one. She continued asking repeatedly, despite me already making my answer clear. I understand that staff can be busy, and I have no issue with being asked to clarify my order. However, considering there were only two customers there, I found the way I was spoken to particularly unnecessary. The facial expressions, tone and overall attitude made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. What particularly stood out to me was that she was being very pleasant with the other customer, but her attitude towards me was noticeably different. I don’t know why, and I don’t want to make assumptions, but as a customer, I expect to be treated with the same basic courtesy and respect as everyone else. I am not complaining about the food or the service time. My concern is specifically about the attitude and manner in which I was treated. Staff members are representing the business, and even when interacting with customers, basic politeness and respect should be maintained. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that the situation can be addressed so other customers don’t have a similar experience.

05/09/2026: Boojum is very tasty a d the portions are very filling. The price is as expected and they also offer a good student discount. The toilets in this location are clean and there is plenty of space to eat, both inside and outside. I would give five stars if Boojum provided nutritional information about the food, as it tastes significant more fatty/oily than competitors.

05/06/2026: The food felt like I am having dessert for main course and starter. Extremely sweet food with no flavour than sweet. It was busy I understand but the service was too slow. And they even did not ask for water unless asked to them. It was my second time here. First time was a little better but the second time I did not have a meal I just had sweet dish in form of my meal. Food with sugar that’s all it was.

01/06/2026: Disappointing experience. Had my second visit today. During my first visit I thought it might be because of the rush but today it was totally free during lunch hour. Both the times the attitude of staff serving was so rude as if he was doing us a favor by letting us in and have lunch there Coming to the food, it was okay. But if you visit you can try out their south Indian cuisine.

02/06/2026: What a venue! We had our wedding here, and couldn't have asked for a better day. From the food to the staff and everything in-between. This place will always have a special place in our hearts!

04/05/2026: Despite checking opening hours and then checking insta just to be sure .. We rocked up here Saturday only to find it closed for a wedding... So drive from Kildare pointless. Thank God for the Fumbally

16/08/2026: Excellent pub in a central location. A traditional atmosphere, helpful staff, and an excellent menu. I recommend them for anyone visiting St. Catherine's Park.

12/04/2026: This is my go-to place for lunch every weekend. I am always impressed by the kindness of the team. Specially, there is a female staff member who I think is Chinese she is outstanding. She is patient, understands customer needs deeply and handles every request with a smile. Her service is the heart of this place

17/08/2026: As a family we have been customers of The Khyber for 25 years and the food and service has been consistently of a high standard. Delivery’s are always hot on arrival, an order has never been wrong, and service has always been timely and with a smile. Would recommend The Khyber to anyone who enjoys Indian food 😃

09/05/2026: An absolutely fantastic authentic Irish pub away from the tourist traps, clean and real traditional decor. The service is either table or bar and they are super fast and efficient, the prices are reasonable compared to some. A proper locals pub but even as complete outsiders we were made to feel extremely welcome by everyone. !!!!!HOWEVER!!!!! Visited on a Friday night as it was kareoke night which in one sense was very good some cracking local singers, but its ran by two brothers who set up and then sing 7 or more songs between them first before getting anyone else up to do KAREOKE, there was four of us who all really wanted to sing as it was our only time visiting so we were the first to put our names down at around 8.45 so bearing in mind the pub doesn't close till half 12. After speaking with maybe 20 locals who all said its so nice to meet new people in the pub and hear them sing they were quite excited. 2 of our group sang midway through the night despite being first to put our names down, and every person they get up to sing sings two songs in a row. I was asked by the locals why I hadn't sang yet and I couldn't answer so a couple of them spoke to the two guys running it and they said "yeah we will get them on soon" So we sat and waited patiently and got drinks from the bar and then at 0045 the brothers call another man up to sing and then say "sorry we couldn't get everyone up tonight this guy will be the last singer" Disappointed, Deflated and disheartened were three words I'd use. But don't let this stop you visiting the pub its a great place just don't go with the intentions of hoping to do kareoke as you may end up like me waiting 3 and a half hours and not even get called up. I feel I'm being very fair dropping a star on this review.

29/08/2026: Attended the Crisp Festival 2026 and the service from Laura was brilliant. She was so helpful and attentive the entire evening...When we arrived the man at the door was also extremely helpful. Second year coming to the Crisp Festival, will return next year!
