The best restaurants in Dublin

21/11/2025: Recently I ordered a salad, and it was incredibly disappointing. The chicken was so hard I couldn’t even bite it, and most of the box was just onions. There were only a few tomatoes and one very little of lettuce. That’s it. And they charged €6.50 for the box. There was basically nothing to eat it was really bad.

03/11/2025: My go to whenever I'm back in Dublin. Staff are always so friendly, real Dubs a heart of the community. I'm a scaldy Corkonian and introduced people in the area I stay with to go there for our cures when I visit after living around the corner. Always meet the standards of what you want with attention to detail, great value and service.

06/05/2026: Lovely place. Def recommending it. Excellent service, freshness of food and delicate taste for any palate. I had the “Seafood basket” for my main course. Delicious!!! Will visit again!

02/05/2026: This used to be a great spot for coffee, now the staff spend more time on there phones than they do serving you. The standard of coffee had gone way down. Not worth it at all now. I would avoid if you like coffee.

12/06/2026: I visited Sakai Sushi on 6 June and absolutely loved it. The all-you-can-eat experience was amazing, with fresh and well-prepared sushi and a great variety of options. In my opinion, it’s the best sushi buffet I’ve tried in Dublin so far. The quality and overall experience really stood out, and I would definitely go back again.

11/06/2026: Customer service is amazing and the atmosphere as well, the food options are wonderful but the quality of the food wasn’t that great, the pieces of salmon was too small to be honest.

17/07/2026: Lovely location in the centre of Dalkey village, but slightly back of the main road, so quieter and more private. Lovely food, super-friendly staff, great decor. Coeliac-friendly.

16/07/2026: Incredible meal. Logan who is front of house does a fantastic job. The food is exceptional, a really great addition to the area.

03/08/2026: We went in for the buffet, and while some of the dishes were tasty, something was clearly off. The food seemed to have been kept out for prolonged hours, and since it's South Indian food, some of it may have spoiled. Our group of 5 visited on Saturday, August 1st, and everyone in the group ended up with food poisoning. It was a real disappointment and a pretty bad experience overall. The staff were nice, but I think the way food is held out at the buffet is causing it to spoil before it's served.

10/07/2026: Not even 1/10 of taste for any of the items ordered compared to last 30+ orders. Something has drastically changed after reopening of this restaurant .Ultra Pro Max level disappointment.

08/08/2026: Spacious! Good selection of beer here, with some local beers and ciders I haven’t noticed in other places. Tasted there locally brewed ginger beer which I liked a lot! Food is served from the neighbor pizza place, so there is only pizza and some snacks, no traditional irish cuisine. But maybe it is fine for such place which is more of a modern bar for youth 🙂

13/07/2026: Popped on for a drink and ended up with a cuppa and a slice of cake, really friendly and welcoming staff and would recommend it for a stop off.

24/07/2026: We came here because it's like a must have to visit in Dublin, but it turned out to be unexpectedly delicious. We've never tasted such delicious fish before. It's definitely worth visiting and tasting it next to the Cathedral Park. Very friendly staff, everything is high quality and delicious. We'll definitely be back.

22/07/2026: I was not disappointed at all!!! Cod &chips amazing. Tasty crispy batter! Huge piece of fish. Chips are great but i couldn’t come close to finishing them!! 20eur with a cola.

06/07/2026: Dropped in for the Brazil v Norway World Cup game and a nice relaxing atmosphere... No Bulmers on draught and a strong smell of piss loses it a point but besides that not a bad place. Oh congrats to Norway.

01/06/2026: We went for a beautiful lunch/brunch at Gaffe, and it was really wonderful. I loved that the menu was unfussy but full of delicious, high-quality dishes. We ordered the chicken thigh with nduja butter share plate and all shared our mains. I almost wrestled my friend to the ground for the last bit of chicken thigh. The burger was spot on. If you’re craving a melty, cheesy burger, this will hit the spot, especially with the side of roasted potatoes. The chicken was divine, really moist, and served in a honey mustard pan jus. Delicious food in a comfortable pub setting. Oh, and the Italian white wine was really light and crisp too. Above par! Really enjoyed the chill vibes. Thanks, guys! Can’t wait to go back.

16/07/2026: Great harbour sea food spot if the sun is shining. Good Guinness on tap, fabulous selection of oysters, very good fish and chips. Would recommend keeping your orders simple, the simple menu items are brilliant.

13/07/2026: Was sat down while the restaurant was not busy. Ordered wine. Waitress did not come back for 10 minutes to take our food order. We ordered the fish special, prawns dish, and oysters. We got our oysters fast. Then waited 50 minutes for our food to come. It never came. We also watched the other customers get their food while we sat there. We finally asked for the check for the drinks and oysters. The waitress acted like we didn’t order the food. Then we left. Felt very unwelcome. Don’t bother. The oysters were mediocre at best.

14/02/2026: This is my 2nd spice bag order in recent times and this order was even worse that the last one. Drumcondra outlet. FOOD CONTENT, in the bag, approx, 2 bags of soft chips, 1 piece of red pepper, approx. 10 pieces of onion, approx. 5 very, very small pieces of chicken, curry sauce was just yellow coloured water in consistancy. SERVICE, after 1:30 hr wait I phoned for an update. The person who took my call was pleasant and told me it that I should receive my order in another 10mins. approx. 2 other meals ordered + spice bag meal. Delivery arrived approx 1:45 hrs. after online order had been placed. All the food was cold on delivery and needed to be reheated. Order Euro 53.30 Very disappointed

03/02/2026: First time ordering and i have to say i was very disappointed, the curry sauce was like water, so liquidy wouldn’t even go on the chips. the spicebag is flavourless and the chicken and chips are so soggy it ruins ur appetite, wouldn’t order again but service and workers are very nice, if only the food would be the same:(
