20/01/2026: went for the early evening dinner which was advertised when we made a reservation but after being seated we were told they didn’t do it in january even though there’s nothing online indicating this. disappointing as we preferred the food options for the early menu (which had chicken and lamb rather than the main menu which had beef and pork) and specifically rushed our afternoon plans to make it on time. then when my main of the deep fried brie came the green beans on top were stone cold

18/01/2026: Great food, but relative to other places we did feel overlooked by wait staff for refills and course changes. Took about 20 minutes to get the bill. Head server was visibly flustered and sweating.

24/08/2025: This is a great bar . Spotlessly clean and professional run. There’s a huge selling of top shelf whiskey. Well worth a visit

14/12/2025: Old, cosy traditional pub, with genuinely nice staff (shout out to young dark haired bartender who had the patience of a saint). Great buzzy atmosphere. Will call again!

05/12/2025: The Lord Edward made it onto my “Dublin Pub Crawl” list thanks to a bartender at the Guinness Gravity Bar who swore it had a great pint of Guinness and insisted we check out the upstairs. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the upstairs was closed. Still no idea what is up there or why it was recommended. This is a small pub with a unique bar layout and plenty of age behind it. And by “age,” I mean it has not seen a remodel in a very, very long time. The men’s room is basically just a wall with a drain on the floor (which I found highly amusing), and according to the bartenders, the women’s bathroom used to be a broom closet that was converted once women were allowed into pubs. That alone tells you everything you need to know about how much this place has changed over the years. Very authentic and cool in its own way. We stopped in late on a Thursday night. The crowd was wrapping up, so we managed two rounds before last call. The bartenders signal last call the old school way, by flicking the lights on and off. Gave me a good laugh. As for the pint… it was okay. One bartender knew what he was doing and poured a proper Guinness. The other poured it the way Americans do when they have no idea what they are doing, and he did it consistently. I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to The Lord Edward and got plenty of laughs out of the whole experience. The company was great and the pub absolutely has character. Now, if we can only get that one bartender on board with pouring Guinness correctly… We still want to know what is upstairs.

18/01/2026: We stopped for an Irish brunch. The food was good, the place was pleasant and nicely decorated.

15/01/2026: Really beautiful cafe and amazing staff. Coffee and cakes are delicious. And reasonable prices. Definitely a place to visit if your in Dublin city centre.

07/01/2026: The welcome was very warm and pleasant, as was the service. The dishes were refined, fresh, of good quality, and beautifully presented. We found the value for money to be very good.

31/10/2025: The coffee is great and I love the lemon and ricotta cake, but the most amazing thing about this place is the incredible staff!!

10/01/2026: The food was incredibly delicious. I loved everything, from the spiciness of the meat to the way the rice was cooked to the packaging. Because that's really important, especially when you're delivering liquids and packaging. I loved it too. Everything arrived safe and sound, warm and delicious

14/01/2026: Frozen chips ??? 25.95 e for frozen chips . Fish wasnt any better did not want cause a fuss , wont be back.

30/12/2025: Great Guinness and fantastic Chicken Wings, very nice staff too. I also drink bottled Heineken and I like how cold the bottles of Heineken are a perfect temperature nice and smooth with a crisp finish. I much prefer here over the Coach House.

26/11/2025: Embarrassed for the chef who calls himself a professional and served up the main course I endured. Cold undercooked ravioli and a portion size that would leave a 3 year old hungry. And that wasn't the worst meal in our group. Overpriced under sized slop. Won't be going back.

23/11/2025: Absolutely the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. The staff were incredibly rude and the food was disgusting. I was shocked by how poorly I was treated; they even laughed at me and made rude gestures when I asked a simple question. The environment was far from welcoming. I will definitely not be returning, and honestly, everyone working there should be fired immediately for such appalling behaviour

12/07/2025: Coffee was pretty average, about the same as most chain shops in Dublin. There’s extensive seating with comfy looking couches, and a couple pastry options. If you’re in the area and don’t need to sit down, we liked Bear Market better.

12/01/2026: VERY DISAPPOINTING dinner at Sophie’s Rooftop in Dublin. I ordered chicken parmigiana with pasta. The pasta was just okay, nothing special, honestly something we could easily make at home. The chicken parmigiana was the biggest letdown: the chicken was dry, not juicy at all, and completely lacking in flavor. For a restaurant at this level and price point, the food was well below expectations. Overall, the dinner did not live up to what we expected, and I WOULD NOT RETURN based on the FOOD QUALITY.

08/01/2026: I was there a few weeks ago, the Brazilian waitress was very kind, but unfortunately I don't remember her name. The food was impeccable and the drinks, even though overpriced, were also great
