Queen of Tarts
Dublin
05/11/2025: This café is unfortunately no longer there. We were really looking forward to it.
13/10/2025: First of all, it was wonderful to be welcomed by the Italian owner!
The place is located right in the city center and is very charming, structured on two levels. Breakfast is highly customizable: from sweet pastries like brioches to huge, typical local breakfasts (I took it!).
The coffee is Italian, so exceptional!
We'll definitely be back when we next visit Dublin!

Hungry Hungarian
Dublin
19/10/2025: Today I was here by accident because I wanted to eat something but I'm really shocked. I ate well and it was tasty and healthy. I love Polish and Hungarian cuisine
The Lady working there was very nice, very kind, we had a great conversation, I really recommend going there, you will be greeted with a smile and a kind word, I recommend it
22/06/2025: Very nice service, real Hungarian lángos.
It was a very good experience.

The Port House
Dublin
06/01/2026: Great food and service, wine is very expensive
06/01/2026: We visited The Port House recently again, we had been before some time ago and were looking forward to some lovely Spanish tapas, but unfortunately, several dishes fell short of expectations.
The Croquetas de Jamón were decent but a bit on the greasy side. The Gambas al Pil Pil lacked flavour entirely—no garlic, chili, or sear—and we couldn't finish them.
We mentioned this to our waitress, who kindly offered a replacement, but we declined to avoid food waste, and the dish was removed from the bill without issue.
The Chorizo al Vino was okay (I finished most of it as I was hungry), and the Patatas Rotas were average but acceptable. However, the Chicken Paella was mushy with an off flavor (kinda fishy), and we barely touched it (this wasn't adjusted on the bill).
We had a couple of nice cocktails: Atlantic Twist and Clover Club.
Our glasses of wine were fine, and our server was genuinely friendly and attentive. The front-of-house host, though, came across as quite unwelcoming upon arrival.
Overall, a disappointing meal compared to what we'd hoped for based on previous visits..
Service from the waitress was a highlight.

The Seafood Cafe by Niall Sabongi
Dublin
28/04/2026: I went on a Friday but unfortunately the menu was more limited than what the menu online lead me to believe. Nonetheless the Turbot was amazing and everything was well seasoned.
26/04/2026: Very fresh fish, great dishes and superb taste, you can watch the chefs cooking while sitting at the bar, very friendly staff.

Clayton Hotel Charlemont
Dublin
25/11/2025: Everything from start to finish was excellent at his hotel
21/11/2025: Lovely hotel with nice staff, but it's over priced I believe for the quality of the rooms, TVs without modern smart facilities, etc. I also paid €28 per night for valet parking, but valet really means you just have to queue at reception to give them your key, give them 15mins notice to get your car back and both times I gave notice I was waiting much longer; once because they were busy and had another car to move first (I don't see how that added so much time) and the second time because there was a delivery truck in the bay - it's far too expensive for the service.

Kakilang
Dublin
13/09/2025: Nice and cozy place for weekend brunch! It is one of my favorite places, but I was a little disappointed with my visit last Sunday, Sep 7th. Sffats were too busy talking to each other. I know the cafe gets busy on weekends, but it didn't have the vibe I usually expect. Hope it gets back soon.
09/09/2025: Great brunch options and Thai tea 🧋

Toscana
Dublin
03/05/2026: Best Italian food in Dublin! Incredible fresh ingredients, friendly service, and a lovely cozy vibe by the coast.
02/05/2026: Excellent restaurant!
I had the Rustica pizza and the Torta di Banoffi for dessert, and frankly, both were delicious. You might think the dessert would be too sweet, but I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to eat!
I highly recommend it, especially since the service was very friendly and there was a beautiful sea view!

Carved
Dublin
07/12/2025: Quality has gone down a bit with the rise in popularity of this place over the past couple years. Still a decent sandwich though.
21/11/2025: Read about the place yesterday in an article saying it’s the spot for proper Christmas sandwiches, so I legged it over before closing to grab a takeaway. Fair play, the hype is real. The Christmas special was unreal, packed full of flavour, and the drink I grabbed was surprisingly good too. Service was rapid even with the queue, and the lads behind the counter were sound. Grand spot if you’re after a hearty feed without the fuss.
