The best restaurants in Dublin

31/03/2025: An interesting find and a spot. This place, looks tiny, but packs a punch! We had a lunch with my partner. Started with the torched oysters (spinach and garlic), slightly colder than my expectations, but flavor wise, was a delicacy. Moved on with the house chowder, OMG, one of the best. I eat and actually cook seafood regularly, this one was off the charts. And the main course, we went with the turbot, to share… I am not a fan of this particular species, personally prefer the black sea one (yet turbot is turbot). But, regardless of the size, it was cooked on charcoal grill, to perfection. Excellent and not an easy job. When I confirmed that to the chef, he was so humble and commented that the coal was in perfect state, not too hot, mot too cold, he did not want to take the credit. Another shock seeing a chef so humble. Our service was also gr8, always checking, helpful with our questions. And the conditions were not in their favor. Streets under construction, heavy machinery, dust, noise, I had my worries. But so happy to be a proven otherwise. Heavily advised and suggested. Will surely visit again! A must try. The music in the background was also nice.

25/03/2025: Stayed at the Clayton Ballsbridge and really enjoyed it. The building itself is stunning – full of character with lovely grounds. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Great location too – easy access to the city but in a quiet, leafy part of Dublin. Breakfast was generous with plenty of choice. Would happily stay again

01/03/2025: I’ve been ordering from FatCow for over a year, and their quality never drops. The burgers are consistently tasty and juicy, while the chips are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. My favorite burger in town!

22/02/2025: The coffee is good here only thing I find odd is that they never offer sugar or stirrers. I'm sure they have them but you shouldn't have to ask. On the menu it says fresh pastries every morning, yet I arrived before 9 am the pastery I got was stone cold and tasted off. It was at least a day or two old and I spat it out and binned it immediately. I should have returned it as it's clearly false advertising but wasn't worth the hassle. Also your forced into a giant pothole as you leave this place so don't go if you care about your car.

22/03/2025: Recently brought my family (12) to celebrate a birthday. We waited 55 minutes for our meal. No one approached us while waiting to say there was a delay. When I asked about the delay, we were told it was because we didn't order starters - starters take priority and the waiter told me it wasn't up to him it was up to the chef, again no apology. I emailed the owner, no reply. Will not be returning or recommending. This is not just 1 bad review - it is 12.

22/02/2025: Good restaurant with good food however the food dishes are getting smaller. See photos same chicken salad a year ago and now. No walnuts or mango this time even though they are on the menu.

12/04/2025: Make sure you book on Sundays, place is really cool, staff are best ok, food in the main area looked good, but a separate area at the back outside was not value for money at all.

03/04/2025: Had a lovely lunch on the terrace while catching up with a friend. During these sunny days, lovely to find this place. Food was really good, will definitely visit again another time I’m in Dublin

29/12/2024: Pedí pizza de jamón y nunca tuve pizza peor en mi vida. Había ingredientes osos, pocos trozos pequeños de mozzarella y jamón pero completamente cargados de salsa y ensalada cohete que hizo que la pizza supiera muy amarga incluso la presentación se veía horrible. Pagó 22 € como un desperdicio de dinero. No volverá a pedir desde allí.

29/12/2024: Disappointing pizza. Arrived cold. Pretty flavourless and overall for 40 euro for 2 pizzas I expected a lot better quality for the price.

05/02/2025: Great spot in a great location. Just off Camden street and the perfect place to start your night, sitting inside the pub area or there's a heated outdoor area too for the smokers. The bar staff were such good fun, chatty and having a laugh with us. Will definitely be going back soon

23/03/2025: The most beautiful restaurant, lovely food, gorgeous setting. Very welcoming, happy and thoughtful staff. Made multiple dishes to suit our 15 month old. Lovely clean changing facilities. Unbelievable experience all round

22/03/2025: We went there for our anniversary, and I’m glad we did. The staff were outstanding very helpful and kind. Drinks were awesome and the food was on another level. If you looking for authentic Indian flavor and some spice this is the spot!

01/04/2025: Have dined here many times, unfortunately this time was incredibly disappointing. The starters were lovely and enjoyable, however when it came to the mains, 3 medium steaks and 1 medium well were all served rare and cold, when we called the server to inform him he very rudely told us there’s nothing wrong with the steak, it’s what we ordered. The chef saw us talking to him and came over we tried to explain the issue and asked to speak to a manager he pointed to the guy who was already at the table. This guy made zero effort to speak to us, apologise or rectify the issue, he just walked away and left us sitting there with inedible food. He didn’t even offer to cook the food more and made a massive point that the steak was ok? The chef came and said he would redo the meal for the table, we felt at this point it wasn’t an option as everyone was staring at us and we felt very uncomfortable. I had to call to ask for the bill again this very unpleasant man returned and threw the bill on the table. Won’t be back after this.
