The best restaurants in Dublin

07/05/2025: Comimos aquí en nuestra primera noche en Dublín por recomendación de varios amigos. Este es un excelente restaurante: casual, amable y con altos estándares. Teníamos la ballena (algo que nunca había visto en los Estados Unidos), croquetas de eglefino ahumado, y fish & chips con solla y eglefino. Y las gildas como bocadillos. Todo era excelente y nos gustaría poder volver, pero conseguir espacio en el mostrador aquí requiere algo de planificación.

30/03/2025: Pequeño lugar divertido fuera de los caminos trillados. Fácil de caminar, no lejos de Liffey. Asegúrese de hacer una reserva. Excelente comida y vino. Mucho vino para elegir. No tengas miedo de pedirle al chef que elija por ti. Chef y propietario es genial! Obviamente, come pescado con papas fritas, pero no te saltes los aperitivos. Un montón de cosas buenas para elegir.

11/06/2025: Honestly, I didn’t have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised — the food was really tasty. I had the Piccante King Prawn pasta and the Garlic & Mozzarella Bombs, and both were great.

08/06/2025: we ordered starters, main course and dessert we only got starters, when we asked about the rest, we heard that there was a problem in the kitchen but after an hour of waiting we didn't feel like we want to wait another half an hour for the main course and dessert so we gave up, during the whole stay we had to ask for the order to be taken plus the lady who asked everyone if “everything was ok” didn't come to us even once plus no one apologized for not bringing the order... never again

23/05/2025: I love The Eagle but they have recently switched the wings hot sauce from what it had been previously to Frank's Hot Sauce which is a big disappointment. The wings had been delicious beforehand, now just like everywhere else unfortunately. Please switch back!

23/05/2025: We had my daughter communion lunch here and the food was absolutely beautiful, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. They also put my Daughters name on the menus for our lunch I thought that was a lovely touch! I would highly recommend 👌

04/06/2025: If someone has half a pint in the glass an Irish waitress wouldnt ask them "if they are alright" for another beer because IT IS RUDE RUDE & BAD BAD FOR BUSINESS whatever the manager says! Very annoying & at the price!! Ungrateful pub.

13/04/2025: Absolutely adore this pub! Came here for food and to watch the rugby on a Sunday a few weeks back and had the best time. Wanted to order everything on the menu, went for the roast beef, the crunch on the roasties was unreal and beef was perfect! Great atmosphere for the match and great value for money! Staff were super friendly and welcoming! Will for sure be back again soon!

15/05/2025: Potentially brilliant. Rotting thatch on the roof says owners do not care. Thatched roofs are a symbol of excellent old Irish craftsmanship, in fact they are old Irish craftsmanship. Maintain it. Or replace it. Do not pretend you are of those who've gone before you. This craft was hard learned, hard earned, rooted in a history that most do not appreciate or understand and well deserved. If you can't fix it, replace it. Get anything, even galvanise. You'll at least have respect, if not admiration.

22/05/2025: Nice place, the food is good in itself, the service is not unfriendly but rather careless. You have to wait a long time before you can order and the dessert was apparently prepared but then forgotten: the ice cream ball was already half melted when it was served. These are points that you as a customer have to be alert to.

21/05/2025: We were a group of 11 people dining at Abbey Tavern in Howth. The food was excellent and the service throughout the meal was good — until the very end, which unfortunately left a bitter impression. After paying the bill in cash — including a generous tip — the waiter returned with a second bill, claiming they had forgotten to include some peanuts. We politely explained that the tip already covered that amount. Shortly after, the waiter came back, dropped the remaining cash on the table, and said in a very rude and sarcastic tone: “Here is your tip back. Thanks.” That gesture was highly unprofessional and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. A simple mistake regarding the bill is understandable, but the way it was handled was not. It’s a shame because the food and ambiance were great, but the attitude at the end completely ruined the experience. For this reason, I cannot give 5 stars and would not recommend this place based on our experience.

11/06/2025: Retains the character of a Dublin pub even though it is on the tourist map. Bar staff know their trade. Great point of Guinness

15/05/2025: You could say I came all the way from Spain to try the food at this restaurant. It's really good, the cooks are very skilled and fast. I have to admit that it's the best sandwich I've ever tried, without a doubt. Splendid!!!✨✨

05/06/2025: Breakfast menu online looks lovely. Thursday - saturday opens at 9.30 according to the website. But I arrive at 10.30 on a Thursday to be told they don't do breakfast and are closed until 12 What a waste of a trip. Even google had their opening hours as 10am. Sort it out and stop wasting people's time

04/06/2025: Quite possibly the worst food I’ve had after 2 weeks spent across Ireland. First off, without reservation, the people at the front try to act like the restaurant is “high end” and maybe you can get let in when the bar/restaurant is 5% filled. And then they proceed to serve you the most atrocious dishes known to man and act like it is “high end”. For all that is good and holy. Do not eat at Connor Gregor’s bar
