The best restaurants in Dublin

30/12/2024: On website and Google they advertising closing time is at 4pm in Rathmines shop. On a Sunday walked in 3pm was told they not serving anymore and customer service is shocking I won’t even get into it.

15/12/2024: Definitely the best açai bowl I’ve ever had, coffee and other treats are great too. The only issue is that it’s absolutely tiny, you’re constantly having to squeeze past people. Place would be perfect if it was about twice the size!

23/12/2024: We visited this restaurant for my birthday, which my boyfriend had arranged. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. He ordered the picanha steak with fries and calamari fries, while I chose the steak salad with baby potatoes. Both steaks were chewy like rubber and completely tasteless. The fries were dripping with oil and tasted awful, and the baby potatoes were just as bad. The calamari fries on my boyfriend’s plate were the worst I’ve ever seen—extremely greasy and unappetizing. The place was empty when we arrived, which raised some suspicion, but I didn’t expect it to be this terrible. We asked for a birthday cake, but they didn’t have any special cakes for occasions, so we settled for a New York cheesecake. It was the only thing we enjoyed and tasted decent. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place, especially for special occasions. The food was terrible, and the experience was far from special

02/12/2024: From start to finish the Staff at Bar Rua were great to deal with! Good communicate, organized, stress free for me! Big thanks to Eoghan, Connor and the staff! The food platters where served promptly, hot and tasty. Great drink selection and perfect reserved area for our group of 30 odd people. Clean bathroom and most of all a wonderful atmosphere!!! See you soon again!!!!!

28/11/2024: Such a wonderful time! We dealt with a blonde haired girl called Niamh, from the minute she spoke our experience was made 10/10, she was so bubbly and kind a breath of fresh air. She is a credit to the staff we didn’t stop laughing the whole time. Will definitely be back and hope to see her again!

28/11/2024: This week me and my family attended the storehouse and particularly enjoyed aurthurs bar , one staff member stood out by the name of neve she was so polite and gave us great recommendations while having us laughing our heads off , such a lovely girl

30/12/2024: No reservaría una comida aquí en las próximas semanas, ya que el tiempo se debe a hacer muy frío y había muy poca calefacción disponible. La comida era excelente, pero llegó a casa congelado.

10/12/2024: Hola visité este restaurante en diciembre con mis dos hermanas para ponerme al día antes de irme para Navidad. Había oído cosas buenas sobre el lugar y el menú se veía bastante bien. Una hermana ya estaba allí en la parte delantera exterior cuando llegué, pero decidió mudarse adentro ya que hacía bastante frío. La comida estaba bien, pero no tan bueno como hubiera esperado. Tengo filete que para ser justos se cocinó como pedí. Sin embargo, la salsa de brandy y pimienta que acompañaba era como un frasco débil de bisto! Sin sabor a brandy y sin maíz de pimienta, acuoso no - no e insípido. Sin embargo, el gran problema era el frío. El restaurante estaba helado, a pesar de que movimos mesas dos veces. Como si no tuvieran calefacción encendida y mis hermanas tuvieran que ponerse los abrigos durante toda la comida. Ciertamente no es un lugar cálido y cómodo que podría haber esperado. 20/12/2024: Not worth it. Very overpriced food. There are better option for less price

20/12/2024: Our waitress Eleanor was just so lovely and extremely attentive! The three of us had an amazing meal and lovely wine and cocktails. Would highly recommend this place and if you get Eleanor as your server, you’re in safe hands as she is an asset to the place 😊

27/12/2024: This café is fabulous. It may not be the most cool or instagrammable in the city, but the breakfast, the sandwiches/wraps are magnificent (a shoutout to the crispy spicy pulled chicken wrap - wow!). I’ve been here maybe a dozen times now and yet Essence remains a relatively unknown gem that has managed to fly beneath the radar. There are other decent food cafés in Dublin but few offer great coffee, genuinely fabulous food and such warm service. Each new visit brings a fear that I will have to join a line out the door waiting to be served and thrilled. For breakfast, for lunch or just an afternoon break, in my opinion, it is the unequivocally the best in Dundrum and truly among the best in the city.

06/12/2024: I love staying here. Clean rooms, helpful staff and it's very quiet and calm location. The decor is old but modern and very beautiful. The room beside the door is lovely to relax with a cup of tea in and had a real Christmas tree🎄 The breakfast is a real delight in a nice setting and it can be quite busy so in that case best to come down early to relax better but the foods delicious and I particularly loved the smoked salmon. I am already looking forward to coming back.

11/10/2024: Booked a Deluxe Superior room for €264, got budget hotel service and budget hotel bathroom to match! Received very dismissive and poor attitude from night manager when we arrived, he just shrugged his shoulders when I asked him where it would be best for us to park our vehicle. I was told the following morning that we could have parked right outside the hotel in pay and display spaces! Reported the issue to Engin in the morning, and he apologised for our experience and gave a €55 refund. Now, the room we were checked into (#255 Jonathan Swift) is classed as Deluxe Superior, and charged at €264 per night - PLEASE BE WARNED - it had a budget hotel bathroom. See pictures that I took. Breakfast (food and service) was excellent, and the ONLY highlight of our stay at Ariel House.

You must go to order at the cashier, there is a wait at the door. It's not a bad restaurant but it's not spectacular either. It is very noisy because it is full

23/11/2024: Está bien. La comida me pareció un poco insípida, muy sencilla para la cocina brasileña. Pedí parmegiana, pero vino una milanesa en su lugar. No pedí un reemplazo porque tardé unos 40 minutos en estar listo, y ni siquiera hacía calor. En general, no es comida muy brasileña, el tiempo de espera fue demasiado largo, pero considerando el precio, no se puede esperar mucho. Eran unos 15 euros por un plato con arroz, judías, patatas fritas y pollo.

21/11/2024: Absolutely the best pizzas! I always enjoy chatting with the lovely staff. If you're gonna order a pizza, I'd suggest you changing the base tomato sauce with an olive oil🤌🤌🤌
