The best restaurants in Dublin

02/08/2026: We booked Walter’s for my brother’s 18th birthday and despite a hiccup on the music front, we had a great time! The staff were so warm and accommodating with us. They helped us make the cozy family celebration even cozier! If we didn’t live so far, we’d return often. Thank you again to all the staff members that interacted with us! (We brought our own cake! The staff were kind enough to store it for us, and helped us sing happy birthday!)

23/09/2026: I ordered a burger. Normally I'm used to being asked how I want it cooked. When it came out the fries were hotter than the burger which was disappointing. Staff if nice, but for $20 roughly for a burger and fries I would expect the food to be hot and not over cooked. Overall the place is alright, but what you get for the cost left me feeling a bit underwhelmed and I travel a lot, so a burger is often my go to for quick and easy when I'm trying to find something simple.

23/08/2026: Great place for live jazz on Sunday afternoon. Quick but not excessive service. Definitely a place to visit again when back in Dublin. Good public transportation to get you there from downtown

01/09/2026: Ate some delicious Bibimbap and sweet potatoes noodles. Also got to take our own miso soup portion. Lovely staff and great atmosphere, will definitely be coming back to try the other dishes!!!

23/09/2026: I was there 10 years ago with my parents and came back last night because we had such a lovely time at first but i have to say I was a bit disappointed. The quality of the food , the atmosphere, the dancers was not the same it was 10 years ago, only 2 small piecesof lamb in the whole stew and the dancers were lifeless, for the price I was expecting more. Service was great staff was very friendly and helpful. Music was great but too much chat in between the songs.

23/09/2026: We were very much looking forward to the show, then so disappointed. My wife bought tickets online, but we were actually staying at the Arlington. Our seats (T-311), were beside the stage and offered only a side view of the stage never once seeing the lead female singer on the far side of the stage. The acoustics were terrible! From our seats we could barely make out and words, everything sounded like loud base vibration, a couple of people around us were plugging their ears. This was likely due to us being situated behind the speakers, but terrible sound. There was a TV screen, but you couldn’t make anything out. Sorry to say, the food was mediocre at best, and service was lacking. I will say that the entertainment (especially the dancers, the female singer and the flute player) were terrific. The place began to clear out about 45 minutes early, allowing my wife and I to sneak to a table more in front of the stage, which was considerably better. These were the same price as what we paid BTW. We were then able to better appreciate the entertainment. In short, for what we paid, we should have been able to see the whole stage, not backsides and a TV screen.

07/09/2026: Coffee and food were good but can't say more than that. Servers were very pleasant, although asked for 2 pieces of customisation (no cheese, oat milk) but they weren't able to comply.

07/09/2026: Lovely staff, very kind and gave us some good recommendations for the city. The scones and orange juice were also super yummy!!

04/07/2026: We go to their quiz night most Thursdays. It's a great night and Terry does a brilliant job. The food is great for pub food and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

02/07/2026: Great local pub. Staff are great, in the middle of lucan village so easy to get public transport to and from.

13/08/2026: Really nice dog friendly pub. The history is impressive and so was the food. We only tried the seafood linguini and they were delicious!

12/08/2026: Came in for a lite bite after a walk in the park. Super lovely place, food is great and service was excellent. Would recommend. Marta was excellent

02/09/2026: Frequented often. Large restaurant lots of choice of dining areas. Booths and open plan tables. Staff always lovely. Food very good. We had an early evening meal, two very generous starters as our mains, two deserts, coffeess and two drinks, costing €60

06/09/2026: Open on Sundays. Breakfast is delicious and freshly prepared. Service is very friendly and fast. You can sit inside or outside. A great place for breakfast and coffee.

06/09/2026: Great little craft beer pub with a good range of ales. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Updated now, to reflect attentive staff but atmosphere has dropped due to the customers being allowed to scream and shout and use video calls on loud speakers which is super annoying. Almost getting to a point where I might stop using this venue which is a shame.
