The best restaurants in Dublin

23/12/2024: Visited here last night with my husband and Kids. We always come here for dinner after doing our Christmas Shopping in Town. The service was very good, couldn't fault that but the wings on 2 orders were undercooked. They were taken away immediately and dealt with quickly but still it was a bit of a shock to be served pink wings especially to our child. We got a new batch of wings that were cooked properly and in fairness, didn't have to wait too long but still it was inconvenient. My husband paid the bill at the end as I was dealing with the kids and we were still charged the same. I feel some cost could have been taken off due to this. Also noticed that Forged Irish Stout is still being offered on the menu & staff are wearing Forged Aprons which is disappointing to see given Conor McGregors association with this brand. Will not be back to eat at Ruby's again unfortunately which is a pity because we did always go there.

22/12/2024: I went to Ruby's for a pre show dinner. I was promptly seated at a table pretty quickly and the ordering process was short, friendly and efficient. I got the wings and Ribs combo. The ribs were really well cooked and tender and juicy though I think they needed more sauce and the sauce needed more depth of flavour. The quality and the cooking of the meat made up for some of the sauce shortage😊 We also had the steak and ribs combo and the steak was very nice. The apple crumble got a thumbs up from my dinner companion though I felt cheated with my sundae. It only 4 tiny cubes of brownie so it was basically a bowl of soft serve ice cream😟 I would have like to have had more brownie in it and some chopped nuts or something to be in the same league as ice cream sundaes! A tad disappointed by it for sure. Overall I would happily go back for a meal and eat here again but will give the sundae a miss for sure!

26/08/2024: A little gem a bunch a few cafes in the area. Sandwiches here are elite in their quality. The selection of pastries and cakes is very special as well. Best takeaway for lunch in Rathmines.

19/07/2024: This is for sure the best coffee shop in Rathmines!! The food is amazing, the sandwiches and all the pastries are so tasty and fresh quality. The service is a plus, they are so nice and kind. Absolutely recommend it.

24/12/2024: Our go to place for a delicious yet affordable pasta. They have a great variety of pastries particularly cannolis :) Coffee is also divine they also sell their own roasted beans for people that want to have their coffees at home. Their service is superb! Couldn’t commend the staff more very friendly and helpful. Sensational atmosphere! The place might be small, but it has such a great vibe in it.

04/10/2024: My friend had her birthday at the jar !! Really good place for it, really friendly staff asking and checking all the time if they could help with anything.. I would highly recommend the place

01/01/2025: We had a good experience at Boeuf on Christmas Eve and appreciated being able to find a table on such short notice. Although our seating was a bit delayed past our reservation time, the service and food made up for it. Everything was well-prepared and enjoyable, making for a nice holiday meal.

29/12/2024: Hands down the best haddock I've ever had. Husband had their cod and said it was the best fish he'd had from a takeaway. Chips were fantastic too! Staff all very lovely and friendly. Couldn't have been better!

20/12/2024: Sweet Bakery Dublin made the perfect birthday cake for us! The service was excellent, and the cake was absolutely stunning – both delicious and beautifully designed. It was a real showstopper and enjoyed by everyone. Highly recommend!

09/11/2024: I love this shop so much - the cupcakes are soo good, they have lots of little bits on sale perfect for gifting, and the service is super friendly and helpful!

08/07/2024: Really great local deli and bakery. I live close by and I have started popping in once a week. They make great coffee to go. They have a great selection of cupcakes and other sweet desserts. They make their own soda bread - a couple of options-which is excellent. They had bagels and sourdough from the Bretzel recently and I bought them. They also make their own teabrack which is delicious. Apart from these items, they also have cheeses, various condiments and relishes and other stuff. I feel we are spoilt having this place and Ennis butchers next door.

30/08/2024: Nice spot in the Mount Merrion neighbourhood. Good service but prices are expensive. Coffee and scone €7.10. Small scone with packaged jam, no cream. Large coffee cup. Better value in nearby Scotts on the Kilmacud Road. (O'Dwyers).
