18/07/2025: Myself and my sister brought my mam here for lunch today for her 84th birthday. We had a lovely server, Alex, so friendly, couldnt do enough for us. The food was gorgeous, and plenty with each of our order's. First time having food in here, but i know we'll be back 😊

07/07/2025: We stopped by last Friday afternoon whilst in town shopping. firstly I have to say the staff were a joy to interact with, polite and very helpful. as you can imagine for a warm, dry Friday afternoon the watering hole was full of locals and tourists which made for a great atmosphere. The pint of Guinness was very good and not too pricey at €7.20 for the location. It was great for myself and herself to sit at the bar and try to identify the characters in the old photos. I would definitely recommend you drop in for a pint if near by, I will definitely be back soon.

03/08/2025: We are writing this review on the Celtic Nights show and entertainment night not the hotel: So we attended 2nd of august 6:30pm show. The venue its self is medium sized venue so many of the times you are placed on tables amongs other people as they are trying to get as many people as possible so long tables with groups are 4-12 people sitting opposite each other. The venue is set up lovely candle lit the atmosphere straight away is nice. However we was placed on a table with us however with one of us having disabilities and severe allergies it was not safe or comfortable for us to sit amongst large groups we explained this to the staff and they kindly and happily changed our seating. Again as mentioned one of us had significant life threatening allergies and when explained on the phone when booking we was told that this can be accommodated. This was tried to be met as much as possible however it meant to had that one of us had to have watermelon started and that starter missing items as they wasn’t safe and we was informed we could have the potates without the allergen in question to make up for it (however at the end we was charged). However they explained they could have a main meal and allergen can be met and it was the main meal was lovely. Dessert was slightly worse as we was ill informed that there allergy free options for desserts however again just given a bowl of watermelon. So slightly disappointed as we did pay for the 3 course meal and it couldn’t be accomplished despite being told a few times it could be. HOWEVER granted with the food if you dont have allergies you will be absolutely fine as one of us didn’t have allergies and loved the food. The show its self was entertaining and enjoyable. The music was lovely! The main gentleman was charismatic, very funny and charming funny and got the crowd engaged. If you are looking for a irish themed night as we was then we would recommend as we have come from England, London and not in Dublin for long so wanted to experience the traditional irish dancing, food and music and this was definitely met. In an overall review i would definitely recommend if you want a sweet, cosy irish themed night out. However please understand the environment is extremely busy and there are definitely more people than staff and they are working quite hard and running around so ordering drinks at time was difficult and slow one gentleman we ordered drinks didn’t even get our drinks so we had to reorder after waiting and releasing it wasn’t coming. However we understood as we could really see how busy they were. Again we highly recommend and had a lovely night and thank you for 1 accommodating the disability needs and trying your best to meet the allergy needs despite understanding it was so difficult each meal was double checked and insured it was safe and no reactions happened so overall lovely experience.

02/08/2025: Absolutely loved thud hotel. From the road, you'd never fired what is behind the doors of this wonderful place. Home of "Celtuc Nights" show and a fantastic restaurant that opens up to the street. Beautiful and Quaint with Love music every night. Great food and service.

26/07/2025: Food was good, and the service was great. The server was very nice and helpful when it came to suggesting gluten free options. The toilets, I must say, were not clean. Maybe it was someone before us, but the fact is they could've used a cleaning.

26/07/2025: Great place, fresh fish, variety, and a cozy place! Amanda, Carlos, and the guys who work there are always available and very attentive. I highly recommend it!

03/08/2025: Good once,Unfortunately not what it used to be. Currys lack nuances and complexity texture unpleasant overly hot with bland taste, don't think I'll bother with this plate again!

22/04/2025: Ashling Hotel was a very reliable place for good traditional food. Not anymore. Had a meal there on Easter Saturday. The food was pretty mediocre. A pretty poor attempt at nouvelle cuisine. It would be better if the chef stuck with traditional menus.

26/07/2025: I recently had dinner at Boeuf & Coq in Suffolk street Dublin. The steak was raw and had to be sent back, the chicken was dry and tasteless. The service was slow and the tables too close together. In spite of booking a table, they had no idea of our reservation when we got to the restaurant.

07/07/2025: Nice pub with a big variety of beers, good prices and a nice bartender. You can choose to sit outside on the sidewalk or inside in the cozy pub.

10/06/2025: Local pub for locals. Little atmosphere (music, lighting, decor) and it smells less fresh. Only had one drink here and then quickly moved on.

17/07/2025: Food is amazing . Staff are welcoming , friendly, polite,efficient and even though they are busy they are very patient . Premises are spotless

12/07/2025: Volpe Nera started strong with fresh oysters and flavorful nduja croquettes. The Bluefin tuna, served sashimi-style, was another highlight. However, the experience took a turn with the main course. The steak, the most expensive dish, arrived well overcooked despite being ordered medium-rare. When we raised this with the staff, the chef was dismissive, insisting it was perfectly cooked and refusing to recook it nor did they offer us an alternate dish as an apology even though the waiter agreed with us. This was very disappointing, especially as the meal was for a special birthday celebration planned two months in advance, and the bill didn't reflect the issue. We left dinner not satiated and feeling like it was an evening wasted - we will not be returning!

04/07/2025: A pre-Marlay Park concert meal. Popular place to do so. Great atmosphere and the staff did well with the crowds. Lovely soups and fish/chips.

10/07/2025: We spent a very special night in this restaurant - the food was excellent (they were very flexible with my allergies), the staff were friendly and professional, and I got proposed to! Overall a lovely place!

22/07/2025: It's an excellent hotel with very good staff, they were very friendly and helpful, particularly the Spanish man in the restaurant and young woman on reception didn't get her name. The quality of the rooms and communal areas are the highlight. The breakfast was good I would say but nothing special could be better and the Guinness was the worst pint I've ever had in Dublin either not selling enough, or line cleaning or renovate the glasses. However the staff promised to address it and I'm sure they have. Overall a professional well run high standard hotel
