23/08/2025: I absolutely love calling into Mackey’s cafe every weekend. The food is always delish & served hot. Coffee is great & staff are friendly and always up for the chats! Perfect walking distance from the forest too

12/07/2025: If I could give this place zero stars I would. Only went here because of its proximity to Croke Park and was at a game. Found it incredibly difficult to get served despite being at the bar for 20 mins. I understand they were busy, but people were getting served ahead of me despite only getting to the counter. I felt like Bruce Willis on the sixth sense. The only reason I got served was because I had to shout my order in. Staff were very rude, were more interesting in chatting to each other than serving customers. To top it all off there was a fight in the bar. The area is incredible rough. I would never go back again. And avldvise everyone to avoid at all costs!

21/09/2025: We had breakfast here while we waited to go on the historical tour of the cemetery.
The food is reasonably-priced and cooked to order. I do like that they allow you to choose between 3-5 options for the Irish breakfast.
It's worth a stop if you are in the area for the prices alone!
30/08/2025: Lovely cafe. Good selection. Great spot to sit and reflect when visiting the cemetery.

30/10/2025: I ordered the biscoff brownie and biscoff cookie sandwhich, the brownie tasted stale like it had been sitting out for a good while, the cookie sandwich was nice but didnt taste like biscoff at all, very little biscoff inside cookie, mostly just this cream filling.
06/10/2025: We bought a cake for my sons first birthday and I couldn’t of been happier how it turned out the size of the cake the price of the cake and how nice it was could not argue about anything we will defiantly be ordering here again

27/06/2025: It could be so much better. The young bartender on duty had zero training. He didn't know how to pour a pint. Unacceptable when they charge top dollar for a beer.
Also dogs up on the seats, its also unacceptable in a bar serving food.
15/06/2025: Nice staff. They were charging 9.60 for a pint though. Ridiculous price

04/10/2025: This place is deceptively big. The downstairs is a medium sized bar area but still plenty of places to sit. Go upstairs and there is a bigger room with a bar that's right in front of the stairway. To the left of the stairway is another good size area with another bar. I would say that this place could easily accommodate 250+ people. Food was good although delivery was a little disjointed. They need a better system to track who ordered what or give the customer a number that corresponds to the order. Give the food to the bartender and have the bartender call out the number. Maybe have 2 people working the bar to help facilitate flow.

22/10/2025: I contacted Kerala Kitchen in Baggot St in order to place a group order for our office to celebrate Diwali. From the first email to delivery, Simrat looked after us so well! Great communication and excellent customer service. The food was incredibly tasty, arrived at the agreed time, packed so carefully with all our names on it - everything was perfect! Thank you to you Simrat and all the team at Kerala!

07/09/2025: Lovely and clean hotel. The spa facilities were a bonus and we used them everyday of our stay. Friendly and helpful staff and nice size rooms
06/09/2025: Unfortunately, the staff was very unfriendly. The rooms weren't cleaned either. At least the bar was very full and expensive. At least there was juice at breakfast. Otherwise, nothing positive. We won't be back.
If you're looking for a simple hotel, this is the right place. If you have higher expectations, I'd look next door. There's plenty of choice here.
