01/01/2025: Great restaurant. Lovely staff, not in your face but very attentive. The food is always really good. no ask is too much. Always accommodating. Atmosphere is always lovely with menu and decor changing with the seasons. Wine and drinks menu are always really good. Highly recommend. It is on the pricy side but worth it if you want a great meal and experience.

18/12/2024: Have been twice . Amazing to have so much choice as a vegetarian im not used to that . Food is absolutely gorgeous . Nicest chips ever . Wine per bottle very reasonable .beautiful surroundings lovely bathroom and spotless . Very reasonable pricing . Very young staff who are excellent . Highly recommend. Will be back . Well done !

16/11/2024: I booked kajal for a late lunch/dinner with 4 of my friends. From the moment we arrived we were rushed for our drinks and food order. At one point the waiter nudged my arm to make my mind up on my decision. The space between starter and dinner was literally 5 minutes. The portions were lunch size for dinner prices. €17 for starter €27 for main course (lunch size) The waiting staff were at our table every second clearing stuff away constantly. The bill was €324.50 with 1 bottle of wine and 2 drinks. And a 10%. ‘discretionary‘ service charge. When leaving I went to the manager and said about the rushed service - he did not say one word but ushered me out of his way! The most rushed meal, with less than impressive food and awful service . Do not go to this awful restaurant!!

08/01/2025: Old fashioned Irish pub, great. Delicious food last night too. Really to our liking. If we are in Ireland again in the summer, we will definitely eat here again.

12/01/2025: We stopped off in beautiful Malahide and got very hungry. We stepped into Scotch Bonnet and were greeted by smiles and great food. The atmosphere is very nice and family friendly. I recommend a steak, fish, chips and pizza as well as a nice drink. I will return to Ireland and will definitely come back here.

09/01/2025: We love the Scotch Bonnet. Great ribs, friendly staff. However last visit, we could see the food wasn't as good. Large portion of calamari for €22 was tiny, really overpriced. Was expensive overall for family of 5.

16/01/2025: Decided to stop and have some lunch after a walk on the beach On entering we were completely ignored ..even though 2 members of staff were chatting to a friend right in front of us and just left us standing there Eventually we were seated with no apology Everything about the girl serving us was borderline rude for example my husband asked for his soup to be served before his burger, only to be told “well I’m not in the kitchen “ On the plus side the food was good… the decor very nice What a shame to be let down by a rude waitress who gave the vibe that she’d rather be anywhere else..

11/01/2025: From meath had lunch here today from a recommendation from my niece , was absolutely delicious. Had the warm chicken pesto salad , never left a scrap so fresh and flavoursome. Very well priced. If going for lunch get in before 3 , they don't throw you out just don't take food orders after 3. Would love to try their evening food , reopens at five thur, Fri, sat . Give it a shot you will enjoy

30/12/2024: Not sure why this place only has 4.4 stars but it was amazing Italian food. I haven't had good Italian food since my last vacation to Italy. This place was authentic in flavor and portion.

10/12/2024: We have been going to this restaurant for quite a few years now, and on every visit we have found the staff and food quality to be excellent. Best pepper sauce by a mile.

23/11/2024: This is a lovely little coffee truck they also make smoothie bowls which my kids love. The staff are always super friendly.
