22/02/2026: we just got a takeaway from here this evening and the food was beautiful so fresh and everything was delicious . Ate from here loads but quality is definetly gone up ! Definetly recommend

15/01/2026: Really enjoyed the meals, there were also extras included with the order as it was a laege order, so fair play to the restaurant for going the extra bit for customer satisfaction.

26/01/2026: We had an unpleasant experience of ordering some takeaway on 15th of January using the Preferred "YoYo" app. Our charges went through and we popped round to Spice about 40 minutes later... Only to see a sign on the door that says "closed for remodeling until 1 February." Nobody was at the restaurant, and nobody has answered the phone, so we're still out €60 for food we didn't get. I hope I'll be able to change this review or update it if I receive a refund.

31/12/2025: Real home made kebab. You collect there to die at home. They don’t answer the phone e pretend that they are dumb.

20/03/2026: If you want to spend the next hour in the bathroom go there. 💩 On their card are six different Kebaps - a group of me and two friends ordered all different ones and also different spice levels but when we came to pick them up and asked which one is which the guy said they are all the same.

18/03/2026: Really slow service, poor quality food for the price, and rude and slow staff. The kebab was badly wrapped, making it impossible to eat, and we weren't asked what we wanted inside—luckily, we didn't have any food intolerances or allergies! The fries were cooked in obviously used oil and tasted horrible, with a fishy aftertaste. The wait was over half an hour for two kebab rolls and two fries, and there was no one in front of us. Instead, we were served after a group of five people who arrived ten minutes after us. It turned out our kebabs had been ready for at least 10 minutes, but were just sitting there "abandoned" on their countertop. Obviously, they didn't offer to remake them and serve them hot. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

14/02/2026: I’m very disappointed with my recent visit. The food was not tasty at all and did not meet expectations in terms of flavor or quality. On top of that, the wait time was extremely long. We were only two adults, and the restaurant had just three tables occupied The place wasn’t fully booked, yet it still took far longer than expected for our food to be served. Overall, the experience was frustrating and underwhelming. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning. Never again, I would highly suggest not to visit, Avoid this place! Waste of time and money.

12/03/2026: Definitely one of the best Indians in the country the food is always fresh and the service is fantastic. Iv been going here for 12 years and never had a bad meal and it’s always a request from family and friends to go there when they visit. Sad to see people put up bad reviews because they didn’t get a discount and bad reviews because they couldn’t scam a free meal . Great staff and owners always a pleasure.

02/12/2025: Paid full price , on 25 % off Tuesday, wouldn't give discount, excuse was there was prawns in mixed byrani. False advertising, the two prawns in the byrani were nice, worth loosing a customer over ?

15/03/2026: I am absolutely disgusted this evening!! I’m a regular to the mint cottage and I ordered delivery for tonight- mother’s Day and my birthday!!! I’m waiting 2 hours now!!!! My family have given up and ordered pizzas and I’ve tried to ring them 22 times in the last 45 minutes!! NOT ANSWERING THE PHONE!!!! If you can’t provide a service, DONT DO IT!!!!! You have RUINED my celebrations this evening 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

15/03/2026: So so disappointed tonight. I ordered our food at 17.53, it arrived 2 and a half hours later. I knew they were busy but this is a totally unacceptable wait time. It was quite frustrating as we were phoning to check on an update re delivery time and could not get an answer … we ended up being hangry. When the food arrived it was lovely but they should not have taken our order if they could not deliver in a reasonable time. Won’t be ordering Mint Cottage again … Sadly

10/01/2026: Went out for a family meal and curry was bad tasted like tomato soup with chicken in it wouldn’t recommend going to this place really poor food quality and chicken tasted like it was frozen chicken

04/09/2025: Loved this place! My wife & I were staying in Carlow. My wife loves Indian food, but finds it difficult to find a really spicy curry. I prefer milder dishes. We ordered a vindaloo & a jalefrezi. The food was superb, the staff were friendly & helpful, & the cost was very affordable. Highly recommended .
