16/04/2026: The food is ok but it takes over an hour to arrive and is lukewarm at best when it does. We’ve ordered twice now, figuring we’d give them a second chance because they were marked as new on the app but apparently it’s just a rebrand. We won’t be ordering a third time. It just isn’t worth the wait or the cost.

12/03/2026: The food is absolutely delicious under new ownership at India Dining in Wicklow Town🤤! Abbas the head chef is an excellent cook. We've tried their butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, chicken lababdar, Garlic chilli chicken, Chicken Madras and the Lamb breyani. Everything was a 10/10 for us! All the best Abbas and team in your new venture!

27/06/2026: Shocking service im sitting here over 2and half hours waiting on delivery, rang them and he said my order is there hasn't left the shop yet they are very short on drivers this is every time i order thinking they would get they're act together but no same shite, not even a phone call to even let you know, and whenever my food does arrive its always completely cold. Avoid delivery go in and order and sit for an hour to hopefully get som hot food.

03/05/2026: I don’t understand why the reviews are low for this place. I can’t get over how delicious everything was: Paneer was fresh and tasty the chicken was charred in an oven. It was just a blend of tantalising flavour! Seriously try it!

16/04/2026: Had a very disappointing meal in the restaurant served by a man in a long dirty white coat ( should have left then ) . Lamb kebab was tough and over cooked . Service was poor , no glasses for water or napkins . No background music . Wanted us to pay in cash only ! Def won’t be going back or recommend it .

01/06/2026: Food is always amazing both dining in and take away. Can tell all the ingredients are of an extremely high quality. Only thing that lets it down is the delivery times. More often than not it takes well over an hour. As I’m typing this we are currently waiting 90 minutes for delivery despite being told by the restaurant that it’s on its way.

06/06/2026: The food didn’t taste bad but it definitely didn’t taste like biryani and chicken butter. Also it took them so long to deliver the food.

27/04/2026: The worst Indian dinner I've ever had. Ingredients missing from dishes. Meat was sparse, naan was like rubber, mushroom dish was mostly onions. Chips were grand.

14/06/2026: This was my first and definitely last visit to this place. My fiancée and I wanted to try something different, so we chose Dhaka during our visit to Castlebar. As soon as we got to our table, I noticed right away that it was dirty, greasy, and sticky. That was the first red flag, but we decided to give them a chance, thinking maybe they just hadn't had time to clean it yet. Communicating with the waiter was difficult because his English was very poor. We waited nearly 50 minutes for our food. The prawns were almost raw, and the beef was so tough that it was impossible to chew. However, I wouldn't give a 1-star review just for the food quality alone. What the manager (or owner, I'm not sure) did was way over the line. He was walking around the dining area almost the entire time, talking loudly on his phone. Then, he sat down just a few tables away from us and started picking at his toenails! It was so disgusting that we stopped eating halfway through our meal. (I just hope he doesn't do the same thing in the kitchen). We will never, ever come back here.

05/04/2026: Best Indian food ever.Superb taste and flavour. !Sultan is always so friendly, helpful and efficient.I always go back.Food is superb. Flavours are out of this world. Definitely a must when visiting Castlebar or looking for a takeaway..

It's a request to you guys at least change the recipe for each dishes I have tried many curry dishes and every one of them taste the same. You are serving people food so please some justice to the money that they are spending. Thanks

30/05/2025: I've been ordering takeaway from here for years and this is the first time I've been really disappointed. The pilau rice was half boiled and half pilau for both of us, the onion bhajis were burned and overcooked, the garlic mushrooms were tasteless and both main courses had very watery and salty sauces. The only okay thing was the naan bread and it was only ok. It was a waste of almost -€50.00. I won't be ordering from here again anytime soon.

07/04/2026: Used to be the best place in town for Indian food but has gone seriously down hill. As other have mentioned the sauces are like packet soups. Bland with no flavour. Haven’t been in years and won’t be returning unless they up their quality. Disappointing.

21/03/2026: The worst Indian food I’ve ever had!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Butter Chicken is a bland watery korma sauce and the fried rice was boil in the bag rice with greasy bits of fried onion!! I can’t express what a let down it was!!

31/05/2026: Really rude behaviour by one staff member, my club soda was flat, i asked it to be replaced to which they said everyone likes it its only you who dont like it instead to even considering changing it, i was out with my friends to dine, it killed the mood

24/03/2026: Really disappointing experience overall. We visited last Sunday as a group of 10, and both the food and service were really bad. I ordered the veg biryani (one of the very few vegetarian options available) and it was extremely underwhelming. The vegetables were noticeably undercooked, and the dish felt like plain rice with barely any actual vegetables or spices. What made the experience worse was the service, particularly the manager’s behavior. He was consistently rude and unwelcoming throughout our visit. We asked a few polite questions about dietary options, but were met with dismissive responses. There was no basic hospitality,no water served, no attention to the table, and overall zero sense of customer care. The manager clearly lacks basic communication and customer service skills, which made the whole experience uncomfortable for our group. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
